I would definitely not say "nothing". You and the family are her "everything" and you're there for her always. Her courage comes from having you there with her. We're praying for you too, since caregiving takes a tremendous toll.

You're in a position I cannot envision. I applaud you for being present and doing what you can for and with Sassy. Lean into it and have those you can lean on when needed. I suspect Sassy and the rest are leaning hard on you now. I do know that hospice is for the whole family. I hope they're a good fit for all of you.

Praying for you SassyThank you everyone. We've made the hard decision to go into hospice. My previous nurse from palliative care left my medical team and moved to Montana, but she's going to call tomorrow and explain hospice to my family. They've put in the referrals. I just have too much pain and I hate how disorganized everything is now that they basically cleared out my palliative team as I knew it.
Not what i was hoping for. But living everyday with this pain wasn't either.

Wishing you didn't need it, but so glad it's there for you. Hospice was such a blessing for my mother. The family even ran a fund raiser for hospice in her memory. It really made that time much better.

Okay. I am officially all signed up for hospice so anything can go now they will be back by Friday to give me a more detailed idea of how I will go about doing things. And yes it will be one place that I go to for medicines which will be such a relief!!
