Day 11: a song from the 40's or 50's

Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy - The Andrews Sisters

This song literally came up in my Playlist last night and I thought to myself - Will you ever get a chance to post this certified club banger?? Turns out I just had to wait until morning. 🎺
I posted this somewhere a couple of months back. I love it.

Day 11: a song from the 40's or 50's

I remember this song being sung around my house when I was little, and I didn’t remember it until I started looking for songs for this prompt. :) My stepdad at the kitchen sink, singing in his deep voice, β€œIs you is, or is you ain’t my baby…” to my mom and she’d smile and laugh.

Day 11: A song from the 40s or 50s

I could do a challenge for this day for weeks. Maybe months.

Another moldy oldie from my dad’s and grans record collection. I have the 45rpm version of this. It was just behind a cardboard divider in the box, marked β€œhillbilly.” (That’s what country music was known by back then… )

When my wife and I were in Nashville last, the band at some honky tonk barely knew the song, but googled the the chords and lyrics and played it for us. They begged us not to put the song on social media (they were embarrassed to play this and barely anyone was there - they were more of a modern country band).
