🧘🏼‍♂️🤾🏻‍♀️Getting Sweaty Again: The 3rd Circuit 🚴🏼‍♂️🏋🏼‍♀️

That's really good, I'm sitting at about 25 miles for May, I need to get off my ass and ride. Most of my rides are short Mountain bike loops.

Yea my mountain bike loop is only 5 miles. I have a perfect 15 mile road ride that takes about 1 hour.

Good morning All ☀️

A question for the group: How do you get rid of soreness and muscle pain? Do you have some go to stretches and exercises? Which ones? Do you rely on ibuprofen? Grin and bear it? Something else?

I ask because I have found that I can deal with leg soreness through stretches, but if it’s back pain I don’t really know how to treat it, especially if Advil isn’t cutting it.

I tend to carry anxiety in my shoulders and upper back, and it’s hard to get rid of that pain. It turns into headaches if it goes on too long.

What works for you?
Foam roller, lie on it.

Just hit 100 miles for May yesterday on the bike.
why am I gaining weight?
Gaining muscle mass perhaps?

Congrats on hitting 100 miles, that's awesome. I think I am close to about 75 miles on my rollerblades this season. I was hoping to go out today for a 10 mile trail ride but it rained overnight so it depends on how quickly the trail dries out.

Roller girls have great glutes Sally… we have a great park in my city that has no cars on some weekends and a whole bunch of roller skaters and bladers have a fun time.

That sounds like fun! I don't know of an area like that here but I like to skate on a college campus in the summer when students are gone.

I'm not as far in my belly dancing challenge as I hoped. It's hard lol. I've been repeating the first few classes to get the hip movements down with foot work- there are so many moving parts that I was not aware of but damn is my core being worked. Adding the arm and shoulder movements is a lot at once. I was able to do some of the hip and leg movements to some Dr Dre tonight so that was fun, I love dancing to rap beats.

New challenge for myself - I want to be able to do a headstand. So far, after a week, I can manage it with my knees somewhat tucked (but not resting on my elbows). Kind of fun to break routine, and it's interesting to strengthen my core a little bit. We'll see how this goes!

Well, for 8 seconds today I had it. Progress is pretty quick here, so I'm thinking it's not strength I'm lacking as much as balance.
