Good Morning and happy hump day!

It is also Walking Lunges Day! (Oof whose idea was this)? Do you do lunges? I remember a personal trainer I had making me do these with leg bands on across the gym and back. He must have had a thing for pain. 🤣

Which exercises do you groan thinking about having to do? I know that @AlpineFresco loves burpees, but that was one part of my workout I didn’t enjoy, and also the lunges. Do you have a least favorite?

@Love_Is_Blonde I love what you're doing here, and all the Litsters, including myself, who are participating in whatever way they can, who are inspired to get better, stronger, healthier, fitter... And the support provided that is so necessary. It's awesome.

It's a beautiful day here in the foothills, but I chose a low impact 20min full-body video on YouTube and 15min of yoga for the stretch and mental focus.
As I mentioned in another post, I need variety in exercise or I won't stick to it.

Again, thank you for all you're doing on this thread and to everyone here who is supportive otlf everyone else, in public and private. ❤️

Well I've just gotten back in from a nice walk in the sunshine with the dog. Went looking for Pokemon as my motivation for the day.

I hate running. Really don't enjoy it, I used to make myself do it but I just don't bother anymore. I'll cycle or do burpees for cardio.
I don't really like planks, but I'll do them.

Lunges, though? They're okay, and I honestly should do more!
I remember you saying you don’t like planks. I thought you were running? No- biking? And doing pull ups. Still doing those?
Am I the only one that likes running?! I admit that I used to dislike it, but something flipped and here we are. There is something cathartic about it. The struggle, the sitting with your own thoughts, realizing it's not at all about the finish line.

I like running. I’m just slow. I kind of just plod along, thinking my thoughts. Listening to music. It’s the only real time I’m by myself.

I used to bring my dog running. He was so so fast and he loved it, but he’s 13 now so we walk instead.

Pistol squats. Trying to work on my flexibility and have been attempting to do these. Key word is attempting. Will end up getting them I think but look like a fucking idiot right now while doing them 😆

I want to love yoga. I like the calmness of the studio. But honestly, I’m not a yoga person- yet. I want to keep trying it. I did like hot yoga better than other classes I’ve tried.

@Love_Is_Blonde I cycle a lot, I really enjoy it and it's my main way of travelling around the city. Pull-up wise, I still do them but I have hit a hard wall at a pretty low number. I still want to get to 10 consecutive but it's going to require more specific focus than I expected.
They’re super hard! Plus I remember when you were just starting this journey. You’ve improved a lot!

For my picture perfect Thursday- this is one of my favorite fitness related memories. I did the Warrior Dash with my Moms Boot Camp group. Me before the mud run and after. I had a lot of fun. Some obstacles were easy and some were really hard and/or scary. But it was so much fun to complete this with a group of friends.

If you want to do a Mud Run, there are some things I didn’t know before I started.
1. You do not have to do any of the obstacles if you do not want to. If there’s one you’re scared of, you can just walk around it. No one is there telling you that you have to do every one. Plenty of people skipped some.
2. Do not wear your nicest running shoes. Wear the ones that are about to become lawn mowing shoes or the ones that you’re about to get rid of.
3, Wear clothes that wick water so that you will dry off a little between obstacles. Lots of them had water spraying on you.

It was a great memory because it was out of my comfort zone. But I did it :)

Seriously, it is actually a really cool game.. And it sort of.. Well.. It will nudge you outside.. walking, lots and lots of walking!!

And, gosh.. I need to ask Azul a ton of questions.. Which Pokémon should I collect, what about strategies?! ... Right now, I am just trying to catch them all! 🙈😆🤣❤️

It is working for me, yes. Thank you. It's nice to have created a schedule and have some accountability to stick to it. I might need to add some more stretching into said schedule though... never been my strong suit to keep up on.

I'm slow, too. And that's ok! Doing is a big deal, even if it's slower than others I might see out there. Most of us won't run a marathon or at a 4.5 per KM pace, we're the normal ones!

Great motivation taking place with all of this. Thanks. I have been keeping up with my goals mostly. Been hitting 10K steps and doing cardio a couple times a week and have increased my push-ups.
Now to figure out a way for me to not enjoy food so much! 😆

A few pics from my bike ride this morning. I used to run more but my knees don’t like it. Plus I just don’t enjoy it as much. Which is too bad cause it is a super efficient exercise. 🏃‍♂️
Just started biking again within the last few weeks because of some knee issues. Hoping it doesn’t require surgery but we will see. 🚴
