I was thinking more like the resurgent Cherokee
who is not shy about advocating free everything.
I'd love to see a Warren/Harris ticket.....

And in the past they all got away with that shit too. Let's see how that works out in the age of "Tweety Trump."

~~ tee hee ~~
Now Beto is trying to get us to chant with him:
LOCK HIM UP!
LOCK HIM UP!
What do they say about imitation and flattery?
That's now two presidents that Beto wishes to emulate...
Wellthree if you count JFK.

Kamala would love seeing a Harris/Warren ticket.
Lizzy could be "Black Like Me..."
Either way I'd like to see how a "Fuck white people, we're going to take all their shit and re-distribute it because whitey has it coming!!" campaign goes over in dumbfuckistan/flyover country.![]()
Iowa's easy: I'll pay you with tax dollars to grow more ethanol!
Pork subsidies used to be on the table, but now that Muslims are getting elected to Congress...
Again, the Hillary strategy...
It's just not something you say in public.
Of course it is and they dropped their masks,
but for the sake of electoral victory
they will don them again...
Interesting, but possibly foregone sans economic news...
I notice Buttplug got a bump in Iowa as well.
<....snip...>
and yet...
we here cannot tackle what makes trump redeemable to the antis...
charm? grace? wits? wile? etc...?
there are bits in all of that that are remarkable.
<..snip...>
what baffles me is why would ANY american want to accept trump as their president when he is so clearly corrupt and couldn't tell the truth (unscripted) if his life depended on it
why aren't they more keen to keep the office of president something they and the world can respect?
Good grief, has anyone answered this simple question yet? We're on page five here.
How hard can it be to list one characteristic, policy, quirk, anything that you think transcends the moment and speaks to your shared American identity?
Can't you think of anything??

I don't agree.
If you're talking about legislation, it doesn't have much to do with Trump.
The Dems have sent bills to the Senate: Mitch McConnell has declared himself the Grim Reaper and refuses to put anything whatsoever up for discussion.
It's Mitch McConnell who is the piece of shit stuck in the toilet not letting anything move. He is the obstacle to anything whatsoever getting done.
He's declared the Senate a graveyard; it's completely and utterly his fault. He'd be doing it with or without Trump.
Meanwhile, Trump himself is enacting his "agenda" all the time. Destroying climate regulations, destroying the "administrative state," destroying immigrants, destroying the rule of law, destroying the prestige of the Presidency.
That's not the fault of "Trump hatred." But it is enabled by the Trump adoration.
Trump (and McConnell) hatred is hatred of this situation; it's not affecting anything.
Also: Since Day One, this POTUS has never in any way pretended to be a President "for all." The Dems are "the opposition," and that's that. He speaks only to al Qaeda, his "base." It's not like he's reaching out and being rebuffed. The idea that things would be so much better if only Dems stopped resisting him is total bullcrap.
he is the president after all.
in what has become a trigger-laden quagmire
that almost immediately denigrates into
a tired, invective filled spitball fight,
can we here have a discussion where
supporters of this president
can reasonably and rationally
persuade detractors
as to how he could be considered...
acceptable?
the antipathy runs deep.
so, it seems, does the admiration.
as a civil exercise,
can the adherents enlighten the deterrents
to some pathway of acceptance?
what's the point?
the contention would be that the vilification/deification of this president
has become the hackneyed - lazy go-to in any such discourse here;
leaving most policy issue discussions victim
to a broken-record, personal hate-fuck fest
with donald j trump as the titular catalyst.
in what ways can trump be shown acceptable;
to encourage better discourse on more pressing matters?
keep it civil.
