Hi! So sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. Bronchitis is a bitch! So what meds are you on?? Are you on Mucinex? My doc told me to get that last time I had bronchitis-it actually helped. I also have luck doing Xopenex breathing treatments. And hot lemon zinger or chamomile tea are always winners. BTW-I haven't had bronchitis in about 3 years (knock on wood) and had been a chronic sufferer. I am taking singulair and it makes a difference for me. Ok, I'll get down from the soap box...

Thank You ! Right now I am on Azithromycin and Guaifenesin DM. I was really starting to feel pretty good until last night . . . now I am having even more problems than before.

The Z-pack is normally pretty good. Are your symptoms getting worse or are you just feeling crummier (is that a word?)? After 3 days on Z and the cough med you should be feeling less pressure in your chest and not as much pain when you cough. If it's worse, you might try calling your doctors office. Maybe its time for a breathing treatment??

Today I am having a little more trouble breathing and my chest feels tight. I called the pharmacist . . . they said it not the meds, but the symptoms from my bronchitis.

I have not been coughing hardly at all. When I do cough it never hurts.

It sounds like the Guaifenesin isn't doing its job. It should be breaking that stuff out of there. Have you considered calling your doc? If that stuff stays in there, I'd hate to see it develop into pneumonia or pleurisy. Maybe you could breathe in some steam??

As a fellow sufferer and mom to an asthma child, I have a real soft spot for people with lung issues-I don't mean to sound pushy. I understand how draining this stuff can be!

I was in the hopital on saturday night. I had an allergic reaction to my meds. I finished taking the antibiotic . . . now I just have to let it finish doing it's job.
