Aine - A New RP Thread (OOC)

Never mind my comment!

But what was the deitie that spawned the dwarves in the Silmarillion?

Um, I forget at the moment. Let me get back to you on that, in the morning. Right now I'm heading to bed. Good night, both of you. Have fun.

Go for it. It's always exciting to become a little more "real" in a bits and bytes world.

random question: anybody has a suggestion to my IC? I'm officially stuck in the mud...

Well, he could sit there and wait, or he could do something, like go beserk or something. You're choice.

Good night.

I am confused what is this force? Is it something created by small organisms in everything, kind of like booze because beer can make we move stuff with my mind too.

A question, Kalika: what language is Karesh speaking? Is she speaking the native tonuge of Ain, or is she speaking in the trade language?

My IC post is up. I give it a A for effort, but an F for final result.

That is hideous; I simply wrote that to get things going or else we most probably would end up being stuck for a long time...

Qyron, I noticed that Nayil didn't take note that the elf was speaking a language that he understood. Perhaps exhaustion is the reason?

Good evening Jedi.

That was on purpose. Since you already had stated the elf was speaking on a common trade language, I avoided the repetition. Assume Nayil heard and understood the elf properly.

After all, he did mention to hear the elf mention a woman nearby...

Yes, but wouldn't Nayil be a little confused by the fact that the last time he heard the elf speak, it was some form of elvish he didn't know, then now he's speaking a language that Nayil understands?

Let's start by assuming Ain was a somewhat important commercial trade centre (QM, we need intel on this); with this in consideration, it would only be reasonable to expect for the Aine to use widely known trade languages.

Nayil assumes the elf is from Ain at this point. After all, he was the first self conscientious being he met after entering the realm. Him using a more ancient/primitive/unknown form of elven is strange but Nayil hasn't had any other contact with Ain citizens, so he assumes that is the elven spoken on the country.

The elf changing to a more commonly used language would be a nice surprise but not met with open distrust. For the very least, it would mean the elf was a traveller himself. Which would make sense, considering his extreme thinness.

Anything else?

No, nothing else at the moment. If I have any more questions while I'm working on my post, I'll ask them. But right now, I have nothing.

I don't think you answered the question the other night about birds in your area chirping at 2 in the morning. Do they?

native tongue of Ain Jedi :)

and how are we tonight boys?

side note: raw liver? *shudder* :)

My wife eats it raw. Its very good for fighting anaemia. Its a little squishy but its kinda nice after you get used to it. It has a slight metallic taste.

Our birds tend bo be more civilized here, Jedi. And more accurate on time.:D
If not, we just plain shoot them.:D

*laughs* im not a fan of liver really...cooked or otherwise...

i think JEdi may be working on his response....i already have ideas for mine....im fairly certain Thorne is going to smell the blood and offal spilling out of that boar :)

Likewise for Risa.

Ah, then there's not a chance of the elf understanding Karesh. While he is well traveled, he doesn't know all that many languages. Oh well, we'll see what happens.

No post tonight, sorry. Maybe tomorrow, no guarantees. I have to put my mind to work, but it first needs to be more functional than it is at the moment.

Damned birds are chirping away practically right outside my non-soundproof window. As I've heard it, the chirping birds are male mockingbirds putting in overtime trying to find a mate.

Liver...ech. The elf will have a similar reaction, I bet.

Can't you just make a really loud noise to scare them away? Or just shoot them...

Well, if you stop to think about it for a moment they are just be truthful to their name: their mocking on you and going through your patience like a woodpecker through a fresh board of oak...:D
