A giant, with a huge axe on his hand, in a grumpy mood.
An elf, who doesn't even remember his own name. Half starved to death, if I may add..
A sorceress with her familiar.
A cheetah.

Gah...woodpeckers. There's another story. They sometimes have the habit of tapping on the metal light post that sits at the base of my driveway. Hell, these birds are stupid.

As for the birds chirping at night, I can't do a thing. It's late here, dark, everyone is asleep, so I can't make a loud noise or shoot them. Plus, there are laws against shooting within city limits unless in a designated area.

Yeah, two complete strangers from faraway lands, a sorceress with a huge ass cat, and a talking cheetah. That makes for one hell of a party. In fact, it would probably make for a good joke: "A giant man, an elf, a sorceress with a huge ass cat, and a talking cheetah walk into a bar..."

And now that I think about it, Karesh has a heavy burden on her back, being the queen right-arm and all...

With the kingdom overrun by talarines, most of the population dead, if she wants to get her throne back she will have to accept whatever help comes by. Karesh is enrolled has a spokeswoman right now. A giant and an archer, both outsiders, can prove to be useful.

Kalika, I hope you can get an avatar soon. And an IC post sooner.

The happy bunch is rounding up near a stream, where are conveniently placed paths nearby.
You're group can use one. But please make yourself noticed. The guys are a little jumpy and "trigger happy" right now.

We're still lacking the vampire and another mysterie character. Oh, and the Queen, of course... I can't imagine this party on the front line of battle.

Mantra: you can come join us by the stream if you want I figure the queen said Karesh was important so if need be karesh can be 'organising' and what not while the queen rests or something? or someone can be a NPC and be the queens advisor or something?

If we are to get the entire cast back to the village, it would be good if you somehow could talk to everybody and find a way to reach for everybody's desires, be revenge, blood lust or whatever.

Maybe have someone announce the arrival of a pack of newcommers to meet?

I have an axe to pick up, but meeting in the mid of the forest with your bunch would most probably break into a battle. And the riada's are most probably on the edge with the orcs nearby. My PC is on the brink of going berserk.

Maybe satin and the king cheetah she's playing could. Or perhaps a NPC? A commoner strolling around?

I should be on at least once every second day from now on, so I shouldn't hold anything up in this storyline. The Vale is a different matter of course, but I'll leave that for my own OOC.

If not - I assumed it would be easy to point out - Nayil did not spoke. the «» signs on my posts are for thoughts. Dialogue I write it after a "-". I hope this isn't fumbling your post.

Nice entry, by the way. I enjoy your style of writing.

Your character seems to me to be a some sort of oracle, assuming she is mortal, as she appears to need nourishment.
If she just enjoyed the fruit for pleasure, I would say she's an immortal. Perhaps a disguised goddess? Or demigoddess?
And another thing: does she has a magical aura?

How could the old woman see that my character was an elf, let alone even see him? And how could she see all three of us? Karesh is around a bend in the stream, behind underbrush, and the elf is (soon to be was) up in a tree with a cloak around him (which includes his head), making it next to impossible to spot him.

*looks disappointed* Now I have to redo my post to accommodate the arrival of the sterotypical witch-looking woman. Yet more delays.

Wolfsister: awesome post Im assuming the reason you can see all three of us is your standing on the bend on the other side so the elf would be somewhere infront of you, big man to your right and me to your left? i also do not know if i trust your crone at this stage especially after that "speculative gleam" in her eye

mantra: maybe you could go to the village and hearing the commotion we would come back to see whats up? that way the crone comes with as well...and if you make your post arriving there first i should be able to gather up the bigman, the elf and the crone provided qyron, jedi and wolfsister are okay with that and bring them with? the villagers would be afraid but when we arrive and see ur not attacking i know Karesh atleast would here you out?

Good morning, everibody...

It's nearly 06h00 AM and yours truly is here, sitting on his bed, with his laptop on his lap, trying to be available for is not-so-near comrades of RP.

Man, it's going to be one heck of a day...

I've read wolfsister's post about 6 times and slept on it and I think we've came up on some kind of U-turn. Walk with me on this...

Nayil, the elf and Karesh are in opposite positions, with the elf disguised. Only Nayil and Karesh are out in the open. For the crone to be able to see all of them, she would need a high rise position, behind the elf and on the other side of the river.

Being this, she is on Nayil's side of the river (I realised you made a small spacial displacement, Jedi); if there is a bend in the river and Nayil came out of the forest brawling with the boar, he has the stream in front of him, bending some feet downstream with the under brush and all blockink his line of vision to Karesh and Thorne. This leads me to ask: at what point the elf crossed the stream, unnoticed, to get his cover up on the tree? Never. A position like he has (had, I'd assume) would one be available on the same side of the river Nayil is, in front of the apex of the river bend - this would allow him have line of sight over Nayil and Karesh.

Now assuming there is a small hill on the back of the elf and behind Nayil, such disposition of the ground would give a vantage point for the crone to spot all three, but makes her entry a little out of pace, has she needs only to speak to the elf and the athalan (I'm not going to wonder she managed to spot the small pointy eared one). but then she was following the stream herself. This puts her on the river side where Nayil is (people tend to follow downstream, normally) or on the side where karesh is, well in place to be sensed by Thorne... And without a possible line of sight over the elf, again.

This is what I realized.

Alright, it's 11pm here, and I've got my laptop sitting in front and a little off to one side of me, on a briefcase, on my bed, and I have been awake since about 6:15 am. So, yeah, I've been up for awhile.

Qyron, your assessment of the situation was fairly accurate, aside from the fact that the old crone shouldn't be able to see the elf, period, unless she had some sort of thermal vision with which she could distinguish the elf from the tree he's sitting in. A person could be two feet away from the elf, while he's sitting in underbrush, or in a tree, and that person would be non-the-wiser.

The elf has not yet crossed the stream, but in my next post I have him crossing the stream (hopefully). As for the layout of the stream and positions, the map is also correct (in my mind) in part. Let's see if I can come up with a map to show what I see in my mind.
