I'm wondering if there are any Asians on this forum. I am Chinese and interested in meeting other asian nationalities, although not restricted to such a racial criteria.

Depends on what you mean by Asians.That could also be someone from the MidEast in some cases.Is it Oriental you mean? Southeast Asia is considered to be in the Mediterranean isnt it?

*raises hand* ya im from there, at least parents are around their i think there are some others floating aorund in this forum.


agreed...as far as the word asian goes i'd refer to any country within the continent of asia that includes, india, sri lanka, russia, etc. hmm...i thought the middle east would be considered part of europe or africa.

Yes-I stand corrected.My point was merely to bring it up for places such as Russia.I have a friend of mine who is from Siberia-Her face looks like it is Oriental but she is born and raised in Siberia and is 100% Siberian.Same with my Grandparents who are from Russia (both sides) so actually four people,one of them appears to have a slight bit of Oriental look (around the eyes),the others do not bear any of those traits,then all children and grandchildren look as though we were of European descent,but nothing to note that we might be placed into the same category as Asians-even though our papers indicate that we are of Eastern Asian descent.

I have been thinking about it-there are alot more Asians in the world than we might know.If they were all totaled up it would far exceed the population of the U.S. I think the same is true with some other cultures-combining what alot of others consider to be minorities are actually the majority.
I was suprised to find out that the #1 language spoken in the world was Spanish and the #2 was French.#3 is where English is placed.

Actually, if you just totaled up the Chinese, they'd exceed the population of the US.

No way could Spanish be the #1 language. The population of Spain is not big, so it's a question of how populous Latin America (minus Brazil and Belize) is. China's population swamps them, although China does not have a single language.

And French? C'mon! France, Quebec, and francophone Africa and Asia are all that speak French.
