Congrats on the extra long weekend. They are always glorious.

No big plans for me this weekend, but that is okay. I think I'll take a trip to the book store and see if there are any new geektastic books that will tickle my toes.

Yeah, we haven't see you around lately...you should definitely stop by more often.
Biting my nails over the USC game today...went to the store, and saw some USC fans shopping for their tailgates and had to stop myself from growling at them, haha (Not really, I don't know how to growl). On top of it all, they looked too much like ASU fans (maroon and gold). Double-growl....

It's finally cooled a bit, have had to wear a jacket to games in Sierra Vista and Marana...yippee!

Have fun with your hiking, hon...but be careful, and take lots of water and stuff to eat!

WOW! Gone so long I had to read 8 pages 3 months worth of posts to get caught up on the news.
So a shout out to my ole freinds Sunbunny and Shykittie, and a hello to all the newbies and out of towners visiting the thread. I keep saying this but I am definitely going to have to visit more often seems I am missing all the fun.
Hey sportsfans what a year for college football, so many ups and downs, glad to see the Cats doing so well but hey they lost 2 that they should have won and would be undefeated, this week could be a real exciting game, I think it depends on which team shows up, the one that laid down at Stanford or the one that jumped up and smacked Cal. Yea kittie you are right about Cardnal fans in Tucson, I agree that high school football gets more attention than they do. The best weather in the world is about to come to Tucson, I hike all summer but avoid anything long now I can do a couple of those canyon hikes I have been looking forward to all summer, but I think I will warm up with one that I always enjoy and do Wasson Peak in the Tucson Mts.
I don't remember who but some one was talking about racing, Tucson has 2 great circle tracks SIR a great dirt track just east of the airport and then there is Tucson Raceway Park out at the fairgrounds and if you like drags there is a strip at the fairgrounds too. I go often to the dirt track lots of great great racing.
Anyway glad to see all are well and thought I would say HEY!!

Go CATS a Trojan upset would be too cool......

The weekend was nice. Weather was wonderful! Got to witness scottsdale mating call in action.. girl got this guy to walk into a moving car to get to her.. lol.

Mixed a little work with a little relaxation all weekend. Feel so much better today.

Just finished a busy weekend, but managed a rare family night together with the kids Sunday night. Dinner and a dvd seems pretty tame, but it's nice to slide to a halt once in a while to just relax and do nothing but watch a movie together.

So...while some parts are seeing snow flurries, we can boast of our dust flurries.
Bit windy out the last couple of days. I can feel my allergies kicking in already!

Supposedly, it's going to get down into the 80's and maybe even into the 70's over the next few days. *shrugs* Who know's.

I don't mind the 90's during the day, but I would like it to at least cool down enough at night so that it is actually chilly enough to turn off the fan.

In the profession I am in, I would stick out like a sore thumb if I didn't dress up for Halloween. I was a warlock. Had the big ol' purple and black outfit with hood and my trusty dragon staff. Scary....but not too scary to give anyone nightmares.

Then after a long day at work, I went home and passed out candy. Call me boring, but I love passing out candy on Halloween and seeing all the wee ones in their outfits. That and I have this candy bowl that has a hand that moves when someone reaches in to get some candy. Totally freaks out the tiny tykes. It's awesome!

That sounds so cool! I miss the little ones coming to my door.. I have been here in this apartment for two halloweens now and hard to compete with the main street event just 2 blocks away.. and before that I spent two years living in a pool house behind a garage.. lol. We did have children and grand children from coworkers in the department yesterday.. was great to see my supervisor acting like a doting grandpa!
