Ask Doctor Liz ... Again

When I logged in yesterday I hated it. I couldn't figure out where anything was and I didn't want to take the time to learn. How do you feel about it JJ?

I'm trying to be a little more accepting of the changes today though. I'm bummed I can't find my old Favorite Threads anymore. Do we all have to recreate that list? Ugh. The system wasn't letting me post anything yesterday either, which as it turns out was probably a blessing in disguise. I guess maybe because they have a limit on our signature lines now and I was way over? idk. I guess I'm willing to give it another chance. Lit is such a time suck for me though. I got soooo much done last month when I stayed off it! But, I did miss many people on here. I'm not quite ready to deal with my backlog of PM's though. That may take a little while so apologies to any and every one if you wrote to me and I don't get back to you right away. It seems like I have to go find all my fave threads again. Fortunately that new Search feature seems to work pretty well. We'll see though. I very easily might get mad/sad/or pissed off again LOL!!

Does anyone have any problems that they need me to help with? Doctor Liz is, for the moment at least, taking new appointments/questions :)
I like it now, Liz.. but thankfully you weren't here when there was an AV problem. That was very frustrating and I'm glad they fixed. The new forum has a lot of cool features that the old one didn't have, so I'm liking it a lot.

I think your favorite threads can be found when you click on the Watched Threads button. That's what it's called now.

But it's good to know that Dr. Liz is keeping current on the medical journals while relaxing on the beach . . .

I always like to stimulate my mind while relaxing my bod :)

Dr. Liz forwarded this photo of her backyard pool area . . . no wonder she is taking a needed break from her practice.

I do love my pool. Especially with all the new trees we had put in. Now I can sunbathe au natural without worrying about my pervy neighbors gawking at me thru their binoculars! It should make our next HOA meeting a lot less awkward anyways

Off the top of my head.. there is a like button for your posts, that's pretty cool. People don't have to actually respond to your post if they don't want to... they can just use the like button. I also like the new message editor and I love the fact that you can resize the images inside the message box before you post them.

Welcome back Liz!!!
One of the best features is how it handles "ignore" and that person's threads. When you look at the list of PG threads you can go to the bottom and click on "show ignored content" or something like that. You don't have to unignore the person to find the thread!

I don't know her, so I'm curious if this is actually Liz?

I forgot I posted that photo before I left. I actually didn't know if I'd be coming back. And now I can't delete it because you re-posted it. So ... no comment :D

Hi Bambi! So do you mean I can choose to ignore/not see someone's posts in any thread now? THAT"S FREAKING AWESOME!!!!!

i think about other guys a lot. none of my friends really do, but when i jerk off, i think about guys i have seen in the showers, or i watch porno of guys jerking off.
everyone says thats bad and homo. im not sure what 2 do

It still ignores them and doesn't show their post, but it allows you to see their threads, which is a huge plus. On the old Lit, you had to unignore them, find the thread, post and then re-ignore them. Too complicated! lol

Dear Dr. Liz:

Welcome back from your vacation! What a strange coincidence...I was going to set up a session to discuss my sexual frustration because my attractive neighbor recently installed new trees and cut off my view. Now, I am having buyers remorse because I bought these expensive binoculars. This has negatively impacted my imaginary sex life!

What can a frustrated voyeur do?

Sincerely, "Next Door in California."

Dear Unsure What 2 Do,

IMO you're perfectly normal and you should just keep being you.

To be perfectly honest, I like to imagine peeking in on guys in a shower or even better, guys jerking off for me while I masturbate too. So don't feel bad about it. I imagine it as a huge compliment. Especially if I imagine them making a huge mess all over me and then my husband coming home unexpectedly and finding me, you know, dripping with their gooey goodness and adoration. Mmmm, just thinking about it turns me on ... he might get mad, he might discipline me, or he might decide to reclaim me for himself, or if I'm really lucky "teach me a lesson". Mmmm, so hot ....

Dear Frustrated In California,

Gosh, that is a strange coincidence! What are the odds that your neighbor in California installed new trees in her backyard right around the same time I did? It just goes to show you that it really is a small world. I wonder if she used Star Nursery like we did? That would be too funny. They have a great Spring landscaping special going on right now. You should probably give me her number so that we can compare landscapers. I plan on being in southern Cali in a few weeks and would love to stop by to see the work that she had done. Who knows? Maybe if it's a nice day we could even enjoy a mojito and a little sun tanning together. I never go to Cali without my bathing suit. It sounds like her and I have a lot in common.

ANY-who, where was I? Oh, right, you're sexually frustrated and have a new pair of expensive binoculars that are now useless. I suggest you check the return policy of the place where you bought them and exchange them for a hedge clipper. That's what my neighbor did and I promise you he has a huge grin on his face right this very moment. A few moments ago he was squinting really hard for some reason and sort of gasping for air a little, but now, I swear, he's all smiles. Heck, he even just waved at me!

Oooo! I can't wait to try it out now!

Lets see ... who should I mark ignore? ... hmm, there are so many choices .....

Mmmm, I do like the Like button too. It's a little Facebook-y but I guess it is a cool feature. I'm getting use to the new message editor. Hmmm, I guess I don't hate it anymore afterall.

Dear Dr. Liz - as usual brilliant advice! I will seek a refund (hmmm, can I claim they're defective and won't focus correctly through the tree tops?) and then decide whether hedge-clippers are the proper result or whether it's time for me to embrace the modern age and get a camera drone. Uh, I think the heavy breathing thing your neighbor has might be contagious too.

Sincerely,

"Eye in the Sky" in California

Dear Existing In Some Sort of Weird Parallel Universe,

Again, soooo weird.

One of my pervy neighbors must have gotten a new drone because this morning when I was taking a soak in our jacuzz this drone kept buzzing overhead and I'm pretty sure it had a camera attached to it.

And I think you're right about that contagious heavy breathing. I heard it again!

So weird.

Well, in any event, let me know how your refund/exchange goes. Wishing you the best of luck!

Was that you??? I could have sworn I had the right address for that roof inspection. I promise the footage captured will be used in a very professional way ... :ROFLMAO::kiss:

Hey Liz, it's been a while but I have a question...there's a girl at work I find very fun and enjoyable talking with, she has a boyfriend and I have a girlfriend however...I would still like to flirt with her even if it doesn't go anywhere...what should I do?

Ask me on my ADL thread LOL!! :)

Ooops! Sorry! Still getting use to this new format. I thought you wrote to me via PM.

Dear Taken But Still Feeling Flirty,

You are caught in a dilemma that I'm sure virtually all of my lovely lovely readers will identify with one way or another. I too have found myself in this very same predicament, from both your perspective and hers, as the flirt-er and the flirt-ee.

Whether some people are willing to admit it or not, sexual attractiveness is a fundamental component of human nature. We can't avoid it. And I chose the word 'fundamental' to describe it on purpose because, well, it can and should be: FUN!!

But, and this is vitally important, it has to be fun for BOTH parties involved.

If you're absolutely sure that this girl at work that you enjoy talking with enjoys talking with you too (does she agree to everything you say just to get to the end of the conversation? or does she add to the conversation and ask you engaging questions as much or at least almost as much as you do?) then I say go ahead and sprinkle in a little spice to your next conversation with her.

If you share something honest about yourself, and by honest I mean something not crude, she may feel compelled to share something back about herself. Do NOT start out by trying to make jokes about blowjobs or anal sex!

Instead go for something more subtle, like kissing your girlfriend after she's eaten garlic or maybe even make a ever so slightly sexual observation about someone else in the office to see if she a) agrees and b) adds an equal slightly sexual observation. This can be about what someone is wearing - like for instance if someone is dressed up a little more than usual, or a little sexier than usual, you could maybe speculate that he or she "has a hot date tonight" and see if she reacts equally playfully to your comment or if there's dead silence, or a brief comment and quick exit. I would strongly advise that if you choose to make a comment about someone else, the first time you do it make sure you target a guy rather than another woman in the office. That way she will feel less targeted or sexualized.

A little innocent flirtation is not a no-no with someone else who is receptive to it. But do be aware that it can certainly lead to other things. She knows it and so should you. For instance, she might reveal cracks in her current relationship and you might end up doing the same. That could ultimately bring you two closer together.

How far you both take your mutual attraction/playfulness is completely up to you both.

Thank you so much for your response! I don't see her everyday but we engage in friendly chats anytime we do see each other. I'll definitely be keeping your ideas in mind that for darn sure.

Keep me updated. You know me, I love deets!
