Good morning, everyone... :)

Sorry to hear about you being limited for six weeks...:( I got restricted to a weeks bed rest once. I could only make it for three days then I went back to work.

Riders up, rider safe, and ride naked... :D

Not in bed rest...just not allowed to do anything...so yeah ..stir crazy applies here

ride naked????? but where would you put your wallet and keys?????....on second thoughts ....don't answer that one mate :D

But it would give a new meaning to wind resistance.....especially for the ladies.......spot the nipples from a mile off

...was gonna write a quick note, but gotta go help with the gr-daughter... :) :)

Good morning, everyone... :)

It is a very sunny but windy day here in the little New England town of Woodbury, CT. It is going to be cold today and tomorrow. Then tomorrow night it is supposed to snow. We missed the last snow storm here...:) It remained as cold rain. Even wash some of the frozen ice away... :D God I need spring!

With being cold outside I figure it's a good weekend to do the federal income tax return and state income tax return. It seem every time you turn around one of those useless son of a bitches have there hands in your pockets... Nothing worse than a government of gangsters and crooks. This country needs a total overhaul. Ok, ok I'll put the soap box away...

Just want to wish everyone a super great day... :D

Riders up, rider safe, and ride naked... :)

Good morning everyone,

...A cold/frosty morning here, but s'pposed to warm up d'rectly. Need to get some wood cut, before the next winter blast comes thru, but am thinkin' I am gonna go shoppin' for work boots today.
...Weather has been much nicer the last few days here, have been seein' more, and more bikes out each day. Got tickled at one ridin' thru our work zone yesterday, he was kinda wobbly, I laffed, and told my co-workers, its been a long winter..Thats another good reason for ridin' year round, never get the rusty-biker-syndrome... ;)
...lol, as far as ridin' naked, I have seen some at these rallies, that mite as well have been naked, hell, 2 band-aids would cover perty much all they had covered.
But they do look good, and sure get your attention... :)
...Wife filled our taxes out this week jade, not gonna need a wheelbarrow to haul the refund to the bank, but then again, at least we don't hafta put 'em a check in the mail either...Good luck with yours...
...Takin' it easy webb? don't be doin' too much, this is the time, when the ms's should be waitin' on ya hand and foot, lol...and ya gotta milk that bud... ;)
...Hope everyone has a great day, tha sun shines on ya, and spring is just around the corner....

.....Ride safe, but ride...

I can't believe this...

The blizzard didn't hit us...the wind up against the mountains drove the storm into the plains, closed the interstate and is reeking havoc east of Denver but our roads are dry (for the moment) and there was supposed to be six inches of snow this morning. There is a God somewhere! And he's got to be a biker. So the rest of the week temps in the mid-30s. I can live with that as long as I don't hit any ice...just got to get in my leathers and go.

Yep was just checking the forecast. Last time I looked a couple days ago it said 50's on Sunday. Not gonna happen it seems. Our forecast is for freezing rain and snow starting about 4 AM. Guess the storm that was hitting my family back in Arkansas is headed this way with a little wintery kick.

Stopping in to say hi...haven't been here for a long time. We have been having too cold of temps and too much snow and ice for any riding. But I am getting itchy to get on two wheels...I do go out to the garage and start it up just to listen to it purr....loud!!! Gives me a short term fix... ;) But sometimes it just makes that itch a little worse...

...I am sure those of you who have the winter weather like we do in OH feel the same itch I am.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Later!

Howdy all. Hey Ms. Sassy,,, sounds like we have a similar problem! Maybe I could help you with that "itch"!!! ;)

Yep,,, supposed to get some serious snow tonight and tomorrow. Hopefully not,,, but probably will. As long as it gets it out of its system before March 6th.

Have a great weekend all.

Stay safe.

Hey there Wing...you can help with any itch that you want...lol...

It kinda sucks living in states that have "real" winter, huh? But every season has it's reason...I guess for us, it is to make that "urge" stronger! We'll have to try to get together and ride sometime this year! :)

Later all!

Good morning, Doc, Snake, Webbo, Roz, Dinny, Knightwing, Sassykat, and anyone else lurking around are little thread... :)

Well it the day before the storm here physically...:( Yep we are supposed to get snowed on again. I liked the storm last Wednesday and Thursday it stayed as rain and never did change over to snow. I am hoping the weather guesser's are going to be wrong with this one too. We don't even have snow here really it's just solid ice. My philosophy is if I have to shovel it I don't like it... ;) But I haven't stored the snow shovel away yet for the season.

I also have been check'n in on my bike... :D I'm not sure if it has been help'n with my spring fever of only making it worse. I am definitely going to put together in May a cook out for are little thread. Give those that can make it get the opportunity to meet each other. I have done this with other threads and it's a lot of fun. It's good food, good friends, and good times... :nana:

Webbo I think you and I have the same choices in woman. The gals I seem to meet are the ones with attitude. Shit even my own mother never waited hand and foot on my ass. I would get a little nervous with all that attention. Be kinda shakey about close'n my eyes at night. Think we may both wanna talk to Snake... ;)

I was over at Doc's motorcycle parts and appearel last Friday just wandering around. I have been thinking about buying a pair of leather chaps! Now I have always ridden wearing only a regular pair of shoes. I was wondering if I should invest in boots... They had a choice of regular shoe type (with a fancy stitching), low angle support shoes, a military type boots, and the standard riding boots. Does any one ride wearing special foot gear and have a preference... :)

Well I need to pour another cup of coffee in me and get the day started. I want to finish my tax return today and get that mailed in...:( Want to wish everyone a super great day... :D Stay warm, stay dry, and stay upright.

I actually bought 3 pair of HD Boots from LeatherUp.com. 'Bout the only thing I would EVER buy from them again. My favorites were Engineer style boot. I even wear them to work and they look ok with my work attire.

Like them so much I am thinking about a second pair of these in brown.....

I also got these two - For long riding they might be ok but for the short run and walking around I prefer the above.

Boots?

When the road feels slick, I wear my Milwaukee square toe ring and strap jobs with the Vibram soles. When it's dry and I'm feeling the cowboy in me, I put on my Dan Post bull hide cowboy boots. Because of the elevation (5300 ft) and the weather, we get a lot of sand and gravel dumped on the roads up here, so you kind of have to play it by ear.

Good morning, everyone... :)

I'm up early to handle the snow that feel last night. We recieved about 3 to 4 inches so far. The storm is supposed to continue with light snow throught the day with only a little more accumulation. So I'll get whats on the walk way and drive way up before heading to work. When I get home I won't have much to deal with... :nana:

I want to thank everyone for the feed back on the riding boots. It is interesting that all of you perfered the lower style boot and everyone perfered the square toed engineering boot. Doc's motorcycle store care the Rossi line. I think I want to try on a couple of other brands before buying. Having worked numerous years on concrete parts room floor I do have problems with my feet every now and then...

Well want to wish everyone a super great day. Stay warm, stay, dry, and stay upright... :D

Good evening, Gang... :)

Well the day has finally come to a end... :) I'll be repeating today tomorrow. Supposed to get another 2 inches of snow tonight... :(

Jumped on to wish everyone a great evening... :D The back muscles are a little sore today. Going to get into the shower with a nice pulsating stream of hot water on those sore areas. Any ladys want to do me a big favor and massage my large back... :) Promise I'll return the favor... ;)

Stay warm, stay safe, and stay upright... :D

Webbo hope you haven't been over doing it mate.

It's off to get ready for work for me. Stay war, stay dry, and stay upright... ;)

I have a question for anyone that can answer it.

We recently put new Avon Venom tires on the bike, and found to our surprise, while they work very well on dry and wet roads, they don't do much good in snow and heavy slush. Since we are year round riders, we need to find tires that do well in snow and heavy slush.

Can anyone from anywhere recommend tires to us? We don't mind if we have to switch them around, but we can't be doing it every week or so. We would like something in a snow/slush tire for winter that can also run on dry/wet roads.

Good morning MM. I hope you are riding a three wheeler while in the snow/slush...whether it be a side car type or a trike type. From my experiences and travels, motorcycle tires are not designed for snow. In order to have a tire that would travel well in the snow it has to have deep grooves and edges, which don't work well on the street when leaning to ride curves.

Might just want to get a jeep that you can take the top off of if you really like the wind in your hair while driving on snow/slush.
