It started raining here again about noon. The dam is still hold'n. Actually Secret I am really a pretty good swimmer. Best know for the breast stroke. Then down to the ass stroke and the ... I hope your Birthday started of with a bang...

Snake I'll bet your still clean up all the downed branches and trees in your area. Glad to hear you didn't see much structual damage.

The weather guesser's are predicting snow flurries this evening. It's is not supposed to stick. I can't believe they are saying we may even stray into the 60's this weekend...

We perty much have all the damage cleaned up, mostly overflowed pipes. leaves/gravel washed out, etc..Givin' a chance of rain for us again tonite/tomorrow, but not s'pposed to be anything like we had last weekend. Hope your area fairs as well, don't sound like ya need any more weather, anytime soon.
...I have got to get back on my barn project, filled the tractor up this afternoon, and still have some grade work to get done. I hope to be 'bout ready to start building, in another week or so. Gonna take me long enuff, don't want it cuttin' into all my ridin' time.

Snake - you're not only a sweet guy but a comedian too. I celebrated my day alone and guess it will the same tonight. Just another day on the calendar when you hit this age I guess. But, I was consoled by birthday wishes from some dear friends right here on our little thread.

What are you doing with your barn - renovation, remodel or just rescue and recovery? Hope that tractor is a Deere.

Now J - the water may be getting pretty deep up by you but I think you're standing in something a lot deeper. I like a confident guy but you and your anaconda sure do have inflated egos. All I got to say is "prove it babe". I'll believe it when I see it - or should I say taste it and feel it. I sure do wish I could make it to your party just so I could witness the 8th wonder of the modern world right before my eyes and in my hands.

Well, back to the party that is my life. Everyone stay safe and thanks again for the B-day wishes.

In spite of the intemperate weather....

elsewhere, the Rocky Mountains have slowly been coming out from under a hellacious winter, and all of us out here have been getting putt time in. There's a few lingering rain drops and even some snow, but the hard core bikers have been braving down to 40 degrees... which is usually the morning commute in the Front Range. Other than than, the days for the past two weeks have been in the high 50s/low 60s and sunny. So my mood is improving and the odometer on the bike is edging upward.

Good evening, everyone...

I has been a overcast raw day all day today. We have one more day of this nasty weather then it is supposed to turn around. They are talking possibly 70 degrees by Sunday.

Well have to change the oil and filter in the van this week end. I also am going to replace the air filter. I have a date with emissions testing on Wednesday. Have to get the van re registered by the end of the month. I think I'll put the battery back in the bike and start it Sunday. If the weather still looks good for Monday maybe I'll risk it and ride it to work on Monday... I'm in need of a fix!

The streams, rivers, and ponds are slow to receed. Fema is supposed to be in the state tomorrow because of the damage from the storm.

Hump day,

...Hope everyone has had a good day, been threatening here all day, but have had lil' more then sprinkles, still lookin' like rain, is why i have been in most all evenin'.
...Good to hear your weather is breaking dinny, means better times, and warmer temps, are headed this way. Like jade has mentioned, its s'pposed to get nice here as well, starting Friday, and the weekend is s'pposed to be beautiful. Hope to get all my grade work done, and have Sunday to enjoy in the saddle.
...I came in this afternoon jade, and changed the oil in my truck. Had been lil' o'er a year, and I still hadn't put 2,000 miles on her. Tells ya how much I ride my bike. Figured I needed to get it changed, gonna help a neighbor work his cattle this weekend, and probably hafta haul a load to market as well, so wanted the truck in shape.

Hey Jaded,,, I'm sending you some of the most gorgeous weather of the year so far! Supposed to be sunshine for the next 4 days,, 58 today, 62 tomorrow 68 on Saturday and 72 on Sunday!!! Wooooo Hoooooo.... can you say saddle time!

Have to get new tires on the 1500 Wing on Friday. Have to break them in!!!

Good evening, girls and boys...

Well got out of work not to long ago and it is offically the start of my weekend... I worked the last two Saturdays in a row and feel like I could use a three day. I have my conversion van that need to be re registed before the end of the month. But first I have to run it through emissions which shouldn't be a problem. Need to change the oil and air filter first. I wanted to go fishing this weekend (opening day is the 21st) but with the swollen rivers and streams I can't imagine this weekend is going to be any good. The water is very muddy and all kinds of things floating by... I thing I am going to spend Sunday putting the battery back in the bike and I have running lights on the rear by the license plate with a short that needs fix'n. Then I think I'll go out and catch some wind. Got to get rid of my winter legs...

Secret not so very long ago I had a classic car that I used to take to car shows and sock hops. It was a 1958 Cadillac Coupe Deville in a beautiful raw Artic White with a two tone beige brocade interior. With the 50's, 60's, and 70's music playing you couldn't get me off the dance floor... KC and the Sunshine band, The Beach Boys, The Righteous Brothers, Bob Seiger and the SilverBullet band, ZZ Top, etc. will never go out of stlye...

KnightWing the change of weather is muchly appreciated. The sun actually broke threw the clouds for a few minutes today. I have the windows open for a little while to get some fresh air in the house. I put new tires on my Wing last year. My bike had been sitting for over ten years. I also replaced the rotors, pads, calipers. I removed the gas tank and cleaned that all out. I had to overhaul the carbs and replace the battery. I had a coolant leak were the water pump mounted to the block. The gasket dryed out. Seeing I was right there I replaced the timing belt. I also changed all the fluids and the plugs. I should be set for a little while any way.

Sassy I think you should grab up Whspr and ride up here to Connecticut. Darl'n there will be more than enough good food, lots of laughter, and good friends. Beside would kinda like to see what that Harley looks like sit'n next to my Wing. Actually not sure were your haul'n out of but this could be a 4 wheel'n trip.

Hazeny what about you have any plans for May 20th... You do realize that your a member of are thread to my friend. There will be plent of good food and some of the hotest ladys ever...

...Been a long time, since i heard KC, and the sunshine band secret, takes me back to the old days. Altho thats not entirely a bad thing...

Jaded, thanks for the invite but I won't be able to make it. Have you thought about going to the Harley Rendezvous in June? I have seen metric dressers there and they are treated fine. Or you can bring a vehicle loaded down with camping stuff. We set up a pretty large camp for the weekend.

If anyone wants to go or already goes to the Rendezvous we could get together that weekend. I may even go Thursday this year as that's when the gates open.

Snake, I'm probably putting on the Elite III's, as the Elite II's have been discontinued, as you probably know! I'm not happy about it. I get 17,000 to 20,000 out of a set of Elite II's. I only hope the Elite III's will get somewhere close! I just don't like the tread pattern on the Elite III's. My Elite II's I'm taking off look like they have more tread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would love to do just that, but the timing won't work this time. If whspr and I came together it would be a 4-wheel trip. If I had someone to ride along with me on a 2-wheeler I would want to take some time, enjoy the road and the scenery and make a little vaca out of the trip. I am in OH, so it would be a trip. I need a little more time on the bike before I make a long trip...haven't had my own very long, was always a back rest... so I haven't put a lot of miles on it. Right after I got it, I was a bad girl and got a DUI, so wasn't allowed to ride the bike...had to do the special plate thing and no way was I putting yellow plates on my bike. Mine is just a little thing...it is a hugger from with a 1200cc kit in it. So it is low to the ground but has a little zip. My goal is to go to something bigger in 2 years. When I set a goal, I usually reach it...lol. Just not sure what I want. I know the sporty is a huge vibrator...have to tighten nuts and bolts after 50 - 60 mile trips. But it sure is fun... Thanks for the invite....and hopefully the next one will work for me timewise.

No worries Wing...this weekend is reserved for outside work...want to get the flower beds ready and mow...Since I will push mow it, it will take me about 3 hrs to do it all. But great excercise and enjoy the sun at the same time.
