Biker's Run..........................

Good evening, everyone... :)

Well it was a beautiful day today. A little windy this morning but truly became a great day. Can't believe the weather guesser's are predicting low 80's for Monday. What happened to spring...

GG, happy to hear you have a great weekend planned... :D How come we never went hiking. We always just wind up in bed, or on the floor, or on the couch, etc...! GG are you using me... :D

Hey, KW. To me my Wing and I bonded when I came acrossed it. It's a 1981 fully loaded Interstate with 30,000 original miles. I know it had to be brought back to life. I'm not sorry I did it... :D

Well Hazeny, Sassy, Whspr, and Secret I am so sorry to here you can't make the first cook out...:( But there will be more...:)

Today I got the van done for emissions testing on Wednesday. With the weather the way it was today I decided to put the snow brush, ice scraper, and snow pusher, and snow shovel away. I think today broke winters back. I took today an went over the van's interior and freshened it up for the summer... :nana: I decided that the river and streams are still flowing a little to fast and high for fishing opening day tomorrow. I am going to give it a week or two then try. Tomorrow is yard work and Sunday I get to play with my bike... :D

Want to wish every body a great weekend. Enjoy the great weather and get out doors.

Ride proud... :)

Good Morning all. Looks like the start of a gorgeous weekend!!!!

Snake, I'm probably putting on the Elite III's, as the Elite II's have been discontinued, as you probably know! I'm not happy about it. I get 17,000 to 20,000 out of a set of Elite II's. I only hope the Elite III's will get somewhere close! I just don't like the tread pattern on the Elite III's. My Elite II's I'm taking off look like they have more tread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sassy,,, be careful if you get on the two wheeler this weekend.

Whspr....... xo

Jaded, wow,, you put a lot of work into that bike. I also have an '86 Wing in the garage,,, I might sell this year! It is in great shape and runs good, two tone blue.

Have a great day all,,,,,

Stay safe.

Hey just wanted to let you know I've been running the elite III's 4 2 years and you wouldn't want the elite II' after running this tire . I have a wing and have put 25,000 miles on mine . I have to get the first one changed next week . Put on and 3 for me . They have been hard to come by though last year dunlop only made a few . So I hope I can find one this year . Good Luck and great rides .

Aint been around much this week. Things a little crazy around VA. Hope all are doing well. Wonderful weather forecast for this weekend. Yeeee Haw. I need some stress relief.

Thanks bimori. I had the Elite III's put on yesterday, and I tried to pay very close attention to the ride on the way there. I put on 150 miles on the way home,,,,took a small side trip to break them in a bit,,,, and it felt like the bike handled better and smoother. I was just concerned about the tread design and handling in the rain.

Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Hugs and kisses to the ladies.
^5's to the guys.

Good evening, girls and boys... :)

I just came in from being outside... :( It is incredible weather and I didn't want to come inside but I am exhausted.. I brought the charcoal grilles, gas grille, and patio table/chairs a second time this year. I had them up earlier this year but put the back downstairs during a snow ice storm. I re cleaned up the yard again. Then brought out the hanging planters. I even took a trip to the nursey and picked up some young beefsteak tomato plants for cook out season. A little early to leave them outdoors over night. But I can get a good jump on the growing season. I hope I can safely say winter is over for me anyway.

My van is set for emission testing on Wednesday and the yard is set for the summer. All thinks taht need to be addressed this weekend. Tomorrow is my day... :D Play time for me. YA, me... :D Tomorrow morning I get to re install the battery in my bike and repair the short at the rear running lghts. This is the first time I will be starting it after storing it for the winter for the first time since owning it. I am taking a spray can of ether with me to help start it. Once started I'm go'n ride'n... :D While working in the yard today I could hear bikes all around me. Tomorrow I get to work on getting rid of my winter legs. It has been to long since I have the wind in my face. Actually to many years being bikeless. I have no major projects set for this year so it's gonna be saddle time for me and a great iron horse to do that with... ;) I am still in need for a backrest so local ladys speak up... ;)

Doc, KnightWing, Bimori, Sassy, Hazeny, Snake, Dinny, Webbo, and Roze happy two wheeling... :nana:

Just a reminder about are first Biker's Run cook out. Be a part of history... :D What happen's at Jaded's stays at Jaded's... ;)

Ride proud.

Yeah, Jade.

Spent the whole day on the bike...Three hundred miles in RM foothills. Great Day!

Hey you will love them in the rain also . I rode 100 miles last year in a heavy rain (The last few miles of it was a tornadoe) . So I would say there very good . Also they are rated very good in snow though I haven't tried that yet . But sure had the chance this year . :D

...Looks like I am gonna give the 3's a try. I generally end up doin' a lot of time in the rain, but am gonna go on ya'lls word, and give 'em a try. I have liked the duns, better then the metz's, but thats been the extent of my knowledge. I mentioned avons once, and they looked at me like i was crazy, soooooo...

damn, i always hit the wrong buttons, ladies??
...Hope ya pass your emissions test jade, sounds like a redneck joke, but ain't gonna go there. Should ya need any help with the wiring problem, would be more then happy to help. am perty sure, i have been there, done that....
...Like your reply to the duns as well mori, I am 'bout due, so lookin' like its the elite 3's for me...
...Hope everyone has a great weekend....always lookin' for help on the farm.... ;)

....Ride safe, but ride...

Good morning, gang... :)

Slept in a little this morning... :) Being outdoors all yesterday in the fresh air sorta exhausted me and I slept like a rock.

Today is going to be my day to get my girl out of hibernation. I am planning a short trip today. Kind of a shake down after sitting the winter for both bike and me... :) Haeding down rte 6 in Woodbury to rte 67 in Southbury through Roxbury, Bridgewater, New Milford. Then head north on rte 7 into Kent and catch rte 64 back into Watertown. Then south on rte 6 again into Woodbury. It is a very scenic trip and popular with other biker's in the area. It is under a 100 miles. Gotta get rid of the winter legs and say hello to summer... :D

Catcha all later... ;)

Ride with pride... :)

Hi all what a great day to ride in the mid 70's here . After last mondays snow it was so good !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :nana: Got 200 in the seat so that always a good thing .

Good evening, everyone... :)

It was a fantastic Sunday... :) It was my day! After eating breakfast I went over to the place I store my bike. Before storing it I added fuel stabilizer to the gas. I head so many advertisement on TV so I figured I'd give it a shot. I re installed the battery and got the can of ether ready. I set the choke to full, turned the key, and hit the start button. Be dammed in hell if it didn't fire right up... :nana: Using the metal ramp I recently purchased I back the bike out of the storage garage. I let it run for a few minutes to get rid of a slight stumble. After I shut it back off and repaired the rear running light wiring problem. I put the ramp away and lower the metal garage door. I parked my van off on the grass to get it out of the way. The bike restarted like we didn't have a winter.

Seeing that I had forgotten to pick up motorcycle oil and a new filter I decide to shorten my trip some what. I wasn't sure how warm it was going to get so I wore a long sleeve demin shirt and my leather vest. I still need to order a set of boots and was wearing a pair of steel toed work boot (not very comfortable I might add). I started out on my maiden journey for the 2007 season. It wasn't long before I had wished I was wearing a tee shirt. The route I choose was all windy country back road. There was plenty of scenis areas. I will admit some of my turns was not as smooth and graceful as I would have liked them to be. But that will occur as I get more saddle time... :D The route I was on I had ridden many times before with my first bike. Then the divorce came and I had two beautiful kids to raise. So I got rid of my bike. Had a family to keep go'n. It seemed today I was in a time warpe. The bike was different but every thing else was the same. I couldn't believe the number of bikes out on the road. A large increase in only a couple of years... I was amazed at the smooth ride of that big ol'e touring machine. I think that I will make a run up to Doc's motorcycle parts and repairs put up oil and a new filter during the week. I can see next Friday as a day off. Change the oil and filter then back in the saddle to get more ride'n time... :D I can feel my face and neck got a little burnt today. What the hell it gives ya that health glow... :D

I hope everyone had a super great weekend... :D Remember are cook out to be held on May 20th. Be apart of history... ;)

Ride proud.

First ride of the year today. 4 hours on the back roads of east Tennessee with a nice country meal thrown in for good measure. My ass is sore, but I've got this goofy grin on my face that may stay there for a couple of days.'

I hope y'alls weekend has treated ya right! :rose:

just found this thread - Hi Jaded! glad you had a good day on the bike!

well i took a giant step a few weeks ago and took a class - and got my license! it was great to feel the wind in my face after so long.

rode for years - back - in my late teens and early 20's but then had a kid and gave up the life style -

but now he's all grown up. . . so spending some time on me.

looking for a good - not to expensive ride doesn't necessarily have to be a harley - though that's what i turned a wrench on years ago. Once i find that i'll be on two wheels when ever possible.

for now have a few buddies at work that will take me riding if I ask nicely ( ) that works!

ride safe -

:rose:

Howdy gang

Late "thanks" for all those I missed thanking the first time through for the birthday wishes. :rose: Gawd, I'm glad that is over for another year.

Was beautiful here today - around 75 but windy as hell. got my peddler out on the road and worked up a good sweat - especially on the way back against the wind. About 25 miles today but gotta get those longer runs in soon. Time is slipping away from me. Still not sure if the Iowa thing is gonna happen my friend starts PT this week instead of last so that puts him back in his recovery. I'm not gonna push it if he can't go - there will always be other rides.

Glad to hear ya'll got some saddle time this weekend. About time.

Now J, you and GG are gonna have a lot of food to eat if you're the only two at the party......guess you'll have to figure a way to work up one hellacious appetite. I'm sure the two of you can figure something out. Wish I was gonna be there to help. ;) Maybe next time - I'm sure you'll have other get togethers. Pack up your bike and head back this way so those of us stuck in the midwest can have some fun too.

Later babes and babettes......

Stay safe. :rose:

...Sounds like you had a nice ride jade, am sure its like bein' let outta jail, after havin' her put up, and away for the winter. I think I am gonna have to take a day off thru the week, again, so I can get some saddle time in.

Good Morning all,

Woooooo Hooooooo!!!! More ladies joining the thread!!!! Way to go Jaded!!!! You the man!!!

Had a good class yesterday. Again, they were advanced riders, doing the ERC course. Only had one mishap, in stopping quickly,,, grabbed the front brake instead of SQUEEZE, MORE PRESSURE!!!! Only thing hurt was his pride! Other than that, 48 people with more training.

Enjoy your week everyone, and hope you all get the saddle time you want!

Ride safe.

Good evening, everyone... :)

Well we broke the record on temperature here today last I heard it was 86 degrees and still climbing. We need to top 85 degrees. It seems with the warm weather I feel compelled to turn the yard into instant summer. I re transplanted the beefsteak tomatoe plants into large pots. It's still a little early to leave them outdoors overnight. A little to chilly. I am slowly working on what to put in the hang planters. I have a double wrought iron plant hanger at the entrance of the side walk and two wrought iron plant hangers attached to the side of the house. I decided to go with a mixed color double bloom Freesia. Ten bulbs to a planter. I like a full planter look. My hanging strawberry planter has little strawberry plants poking the heads out of the holes on the side. I am still at a loose for the hanging planter in the front of the house. I am thinking a peach colored ever blooming hanging begonia. They look really nice as the cassade over the edge of the basket and hang down... :D I am really like'n this warm weather. Ya get to run around half naked...

Next order of business Is to welcome are to last Biker's Run friends Hdlynnette and Shmily. Lady's welcome to are little thread. Hear you are always among friends. Snake likes to refer us as extended family and her is of course right. Please enjout yourselfs. This thread is properity of all the members here. We all keep it alive. Hdlynnette ya did better than I did this weekend. I was out Sunday for 2 hours. I forgot to pick up motorcycle oil and a new filter. I didn't want to pack on to many miles on old oil that was in the bike over winter. Schmily I know were your head is after my divorce I was fortunite enough to get my Beautiful daughter and handsome son. Being a single Dad and raising to kids I didn't have time to ride. I sold my bike. Their grown up now and turned me into a grandpa (dam kids I'm to young for this shit... ;) ). I just got my bike last year aftera long wait. Trust me I would have loved a Harley but the wallet couldn't support it. I don't regrete buying my GoldWing Interstate. Now if ya lived a little closer I am in the market for a back rest...

Secret glad to hear you were able to get some practice in. With the wind your time will slip. Don't get discouraged cutie. All things will come together in time. I still got money on you near the front of the pack. You go girl.

I guess Doc, Sassy, and Whspr are busy. Gee wonder what their doing... ;)

Webbo both you and Roze are always welcome at any of the up and coming cook outs. Now are you gonna be happy with just breast shots or do you want nipples too. Wanna make ya happy mate!

KnightWing much like yourself there are absolutely no complaints out of me about lady bikes. Front seat or back.

Bimori not sure if you heard about are cook out but your welcome to attend. Back rests are very welcome also.

I think Hazeny is still digging out of the snow storm last week.

For some reason I can see Dinny in the saddle and ride'n into eternity... :)

Snake last Sunday's ride was more than the first ride of the season. Last Sunday the path I took I had ride'n many times. Yep the bike was different. But the scenery was the same. It was many many year since I ride'n that route and it brought back many good memorys. I had time to look ay my life and not sorry about the way it went. So Sundya my good friend was very special.

Well, gang still need to take my shower and wanna unwind a little. Any of you lady's wanna give me a hand or what ever in the shower... ;)

Ride proud.

Just as long as the chest and nipples belong to the gorgeous ladies on this thread and not the hairy chests of the guys.
On the bike front I've been doing a fair bit on two wheels - not cold enough here yet :D
Have a great day all

Depending on the severity of the sunburn you can treat it a couple ways......

First - sunblock when you're outside, silly. Tans are cool, tan lines are sexy but blisters and scars just don't cut it.
But now that you have it... let's treat it.

- Aloe Vera - either straight from the plant or a high concentration cream.

- Ibuprofen or acetaminophen can be used for the pain of a sunburn.

- Do not scrub your skin or shave your skin. Use a soft towel and pat your skin dry.

If you develop large, bright red blisters, fever, nausea and chills - GET YOUR ASS TO THE ER!!!!!!!

Now as far as the booty issue.......I think we're gonna need photographic evidence as to the size of said booty previous to the weekend and the size now.

Good morning, everyone... :)

It's a clear blue skyed morning here in Woodbury, CT. Current temperature is 55 degrees. Slept last night with everyone window in the house wide open and it was great.

Sorry to hear about the serious sun burn Doc. I got a little burn but I am lucky I don't get badly burnt very much. Just keep getting brown'r.

Good morning, Secret...

I want to wish everyone a super great Tuesday... :D I have to head on off to shower and get ready for work. Today is going to be a long day for me.
