Biker's Run..........................

..G-mornin' everyone,

...Nice mornin' here in the western tip of the ol' dominion. It clouded up, late last nite, but no rain as of this mornin', not light enuff outside to tell what the days gonna bring.
...Had some excitement here last nite, a neighbor had a cmaper he had set, down by the river, and I reckon, it burn't up last nite. Don't know much else, firetrucks, ambulances, etc all came in, sirens wailing. We could see the fire from the carport, never did hear the propane tanks blo. Ya weren't with these emergency responders were ya secret?
...Takin' the day off here, got a few chores I need to take care of, seems like theres never enuff off time.
...I am a firm believer in Ibuprofen for sunburn pain secret, it seems to take all the sting outta it, course after a burn or two, it don't matter anyway..

...I tend to agree with ya on the 'chest' shots webb, if I wanna see an ol' hairy chest, will look in the mirror.

...Sounds like a nice ride ya took jade. I always enjoy, leisure rides thru the country, blastin' out some tunes from the cd player. Feet up, and feelin' like ya don't have a care in the world. I use to be that way, when I would go to the lake fishin'. Now instead of a boat, its on 2 wheels..But ya can sure get some peaceful time in. :)

...Hope everyone has a great Tuesday, and the rest of the week is even better...

Depending on the severity of the sunburn you can treat it a couple ways......

First - sunblock when you're outside, silly. Tans are cool, tan lines are sexy but blisters and scars just don't cut it.
But now that you have it... let's treat it.

- Aloe Vera - either straight from the plant or a high concentration cream.

- Ibuprofen or acetaminophen can be used for the pain of a sunburn.

- Do not scrub your skin or shave your skin. Use a soft towel and pat your skin dry.

If you develop large, bright red blisters, fever, nausea and chills - GET YOUR ASS TO THE ER!!!!!!!

Now as far as the booty issue.......I think we're gonna need photographic evidence as to the size of said booty previous to the weekend and the size now.

Yeah Yeah on the sunblock. Should have done it. But...........

I am aloeing it up. It is working ok. Most painful part is in the creases of my elbow.

Sorry too hard to take booty shots of myself although I am sure I could use the self timer........

Dropping off a few :kiss:es and {{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}

Hope you all are enjoying the weather!!! :rose:

Yeah - the creases will hurt for a while. I've had my share of pretty good/bad sunburns too. Got the fronts of my legs burned one year at an air show - could hardly walk for two or three days. But it was soooo worth it - all those planes - dang.

I've checked out your website - some very nice pics - you do good work – I would love to see more of your stuff (and some more of your pictures too) ;)

Well that is some of the best ones........

Thanks for the compliment.

Good evening, everyone... :)

It's a rainy evening here in Woodbury and the temperature is dropping. It is supposed to be in the thirty's in the morning...:(

Well the van flew through emissions testing with flying colors this morning. I will head up to motor vehicle tomorrow evening to re register it. I finally broke down and took the studded snow tires off today although I question if winter is over yet? I went up to Doc's motorcycle parts store and bought oil this evening. They recommended Spectra 10 - 40 gold synthetic motor oil. I also picked up a K&N oil filter. KnightWing I wasn't sure what tires I put on last year. I have Dunlap Elite II's. Doc's didn't have the Elite III's yet. I try not to ride in the rain to much. One of those fair weather rider's. The Elite II's will work fine for me. I found the GPS unit I want for my bike. It's made by Garmin. It's small enough to mount to the bottom of my fairings windshield. Perfect for a good line of sight situation. Now I have to start collecting soda cans... ;)

Doc I hope the sun burn is feeling better... :)

Whspr I'm fresh out hugs so I send licks place'm were you'd enough them the most... ;)

Your a better man than me Snake. I would have probably done someth'n un cool like ran down to the fire with a bag of marshmellows and a stick.

Now for Secret...mmm... :p

Gang it's gett'n late. I am gonna say good night. Wanna wish everybody a great Thursday.

Ride proud.

You rang???

Cold and rainy here tonight too but supposed to be sunny and 70's by the weekend. :nana:

Yeah J, showing up at a fire with snacks would probably have been a bad idea - marshmallows don't roast well in that kinda fire anyway - wood is better. Too many chemicals in a camper flame. BUT, roasting marshmallows over an open fire sounds like something fun to do at your party....no no, save that for one of the parties I can attend. I love getting sticky all over my fingers and lips.

Well gang, try to stay warm and dry (You know I'll be warm at least J :p ).

Ride safe.

G-mornin' everyone,

...Beautiful day here yesterday, and very busy for yours truly. I worked, then came in and mowed the graveyard, as well as the barn-lot off, and its hot, been in the 70-90's since march, am almost fearful of what July/August will be like.
...I have run the elite II's on my bike jade, I have always liked 'em, altho many folks refer to 'em as dun-flops. I haven't got to try the III's yet, but am hopin' to this time. If your dealer still has some II's jade, you are fortunate, as they quit makin' them.
...Been givin rain for us all week secret, but nothin' yet. I have the gas cans on the carport, figurin' I'll have to take the truck to work, so will get them filled while out. But I went and checked, as soon as i got up, no rain yet..
...Weather has been very nice here whspr, but been entirely too damn busy to ride. We were out last week, in the cage, and passed lots of bikes, I would point at 'em, tellin' my wife/gr-daughter, I useta ride one of those.... ;)
...Blood mobile called yesterday, gonna be at a small town just east of me, said they needed my blood, were running low. I never even knew they had much need for 80%....
...Hope everyone has a great Thursday....

Next order of business Is to welcome are to last Biker's Run friends Hdlynnette and Shmily. Lady's welcome to are little thread. Hear you are always among friends. Snake likes to refer us as extended family and her is of course right. Please enjout yourselfs. This thread is properity of all the members here. We all keep it alive. Hdlynnette ya did better than I did this weekend. I was out Sunday for 2 hours. I forgot to pick up motorcycle oil and a new filter. I didn't want to pack on to many miles on old oil that was in the bike over winter. Schmily I know were your head is after my divorce I was fortunite enough to get my Beautiful daughter and handsome son. Being a single Dad and raising to kids I didn't have time to ride. I sold my bike. Their grown up now and turned me into a grandpa (dam kids I'm to young for this shit... ;) ). I just got my bike last year aftera long wait. Trust me I would have loved a Harley but the wallet couldn't support it. I don't regrete buying my GoldWing Interstate. Now if ya lived a little closer I am in the market for a back rest...
.

Thanks for the welcome Jaded. a friend has an older Iron Horse he said he's sell me for 15,000 - darn wish i had the cash - but may can work a deal if i sell his house at the right price - the commission would cover that.......mmmmm

Yeah - conneticut to texas is a bit of a drive - for a back rest ...

ya'll take care - off for some sleep - keep it between the ditches and ride safe!

You'll ride again sweetie.....get your regular life in order and then straddle that beauty - point the nose north and west and come see what the northwoods look like in the summer.

OMG......you aren't gonna give blood??? Nobody light a match around the bloodmobile that day....the whole damn thing may burst into flames. Jim Beam directly into the veins of some poor unsuspecting person.....well at least they'll be happy while they recover. :p Remember now hon they don't offer anything to go with the OJ they give you after - so bring your own mixer. ;)

Hope everyone else is ready for Friday......supposed to be nice here this weekend so may get some peddlin' in. No updates on my friend and his leg - but we are closing in fast on that ride...time will tell if we make it or not.

Everyone take care and stay safe.

Cold and rainy here in NOVA today. Hope it clears to have some saddle time in this weekend. Sunburn is looking good. Face peeled a bit but MOM's old vinegar trick on the arms worked well. Mother knows best especially when she was a swimmer and burned a lot.

TGIF All, There is still some snow here jaded....lol... Looks like it's going to be wet here until Sunday. There's a t-storm moving down the valley now. Everyone ride safe!

Good morning, everyone... :)

The weekend is finally upon us... :D It is a rainy morning here in the small New England town Of Woodbury, CT. Everything is turning a beautiful shade of green again. My re seeded section of lawn has all young new blades of grass sprouting up... :D

Hazeny sorry to hear about the snow. That would depress the hell out of me. Here it's April and still seeing snow piles.

Shmily my very beautiful daughter lives in Texas. So the possibility of riding to Texas for a back rest may not be out of the question...! If it weren't for the fact they are planning to move to Colorado.

Actually come to think about it Doc my Mom used to put me in a baking soda and vinegar bath as a kid when I got sunburnt. It seemed to help. Glad to hear your sunburn is healing.

Snake at my age and being retired I don't have anyplace I have to get to in a hurry. When I'm out on the trusty steed now day I ride slow and take in the scenery. The Dun-flops seem to work well for me. I ride to slow to notice a problem.... ;) Just kick'n back and enjoying life. I like working only part time. My stress level has been reduced dramatically.

Secret I had planned to have marshmellows at the cook out to toast over the charcoal grille. Now I was also thinking about bobing for apples. Whats your thoughts on bending over and trying to catch a apple with only your teeth. of course I would stand behing you and hold you by the hips so ya didn't fall in. Oh and ignore the sound of a zipper lowering... Have a great weekend riding... :)

I hope every body has a great week end. I try to catch up with ya all later... :)

Ride proud.

It's only in spots Jaded, it looks like sand traps on a golf course. I can deal with that....lol

Have a great weekend everyone. I hope you all get time to ride ...for me...it is a working weekend. Heh...guess someone has to do it!!

Kisses for you all....

I wish the showers would let off. I want to go fish'n tomorrow...

Woozer, this thread is dead today... I don't know if anyone else has noticed but we are getting very close to the 1000 post marker... :D
