Good evening, everyone... :)

Sounds like everybody had a good weekend... ;)

Tomorrow is my day off and they are saying that it is going to be a hot and humid day. I think I am going to wash the bike off and wax it under the shade of a nice pine tree in the yard. Tomorrow being Wednesday Coreys will have there bike show. Think I gonna cruise down tomorrow night and hang out with the bro's. I am not sure if my backrest in training is gonna wanna go. I'll have to call her later. Yeah I know what's a ol'e fuck like me doing playing with a 20 yo hot hard body... Just that sexy little half naked red head looks so dam good on that back seat of my bike. Especially when we pull out and she has her arms around why waste and that pretty face resting on my back... ;) Let me tell ya it gives me one hell of a ego rush seeing the other guys staring and drooling... :D

Hmmm that has to qualify me for the dirty ol'e bastard award...

Well not sure what I'm doing this evening. So I will wish everybody a great evening if I don't come back on... :D

No such thing as a dirty old man my friend

I'm a cute red head. Auburn hair, not blazing red. I don't have a hot little 20 year old tight body. :)

Still, I'm hoping someone would want me on the back of their bike. :D

Any time my dear. Come on down.

:) Cool, I wish I could.

There seems to be something about guys from Virginia. A large number of friendly easy going, appealing guys. I hear it has something to do with the water. :D

Good morning, boys and girls.... :)

What a beautiful night last night. Sat out at the patio table and watched the sunset. The sky was clear and there were thousands of stars. Later I came inside and slept like a baby... :)

Being outdoors so much recently my allergies are making me pay big time. I hate taking medicine because of the droozy feeling. I guess I'll suffer.

Once I get my ass in gear I will go over to the storage unit and get my bike out. It is going to be another beautiful day so I'll hit Corey's for bike night this evening.

Want to wish one and all a super great hump day. Catcha ya all later... :D

Good evening, one and all... :)

It was a absolutely beautiful day for a day off. Went over to play with the bike and found out it would not turn over. I had just had it out last Sunday. It turned over slow then when I started it. But it did start. I brought the battery home and put it on my battery charger. Figured while I had it out I would take it to my local NAPA store and load test the battery. It showed two dead cells. Supposedly the guy I bought the bike from bought it new when he was attempting to get the bike started. I have no receipt to prove or disprove it. So I ordered a new battery from NAPA for $50.00.

If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck at all... Well hopefully I'll do Corey's next Wednesday night... :(

Hope everyone had a great hump day... ;)

Hi All, I've been thinking about swapping my battery pretty soon before it leaves me hanging. It's been in the bike since the Fall of 01 so it's probably on borrowed time. Still time to get tickets for the Harley Rendezvous here in NY toward the end of June! The Americade is coming up in early June in Lake George, NY too.

Lorelei, hope you're doing much better!

Everyone have a good one.

Good morning, everyone... :)

It's another beautiful morning here in Woodbury... :) I will pick up my battery this evening. However I need to get the lawn cut tonight. I'll put the battery in my bike Saturday. I think this weekend I'll drug up in a attempt to get some allergy relief. Can't wait to be able to breath again... :)

Wanted to wish all a super great day. Catcha ya all later... :D

I been having the same problem, Jade...

With all the snow and rain we had this winter the greenery here in the foothills is puttin' off some powerful strong pollen this year. Unfortunately, with high blood pressure, I can't use antihistimines, so I've been doubling over two bandana's and using it as a face mask, wearing it under my goggles and tied down by my helmet strap. It isn't the most effective, and I still get irritation in my nose and throat, but it is tolerable and there's no drowsiness or side-effects... other than that of the other dozen or so meds I take for everything else that's fallin' apart on this old scooter tramp, haha.

Good Morning all.

Yep, another beautiful start to the day here as well. Yesterday proved to end with some pop-up thundershowers, which watered the lawn for me, but kept me off the bike, as they were heavy at times.

Hey Jaded,,,, any dates for the next BBQ available??? Just asking pal, so I can plan a ride that way.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Stay safe.

Get in the wind brother. Guaranteeeed to clear ya right up.

Hey just picked up the news on Indian. The 2008's will hit late this year. www.IndianMotorcycle.com

Hi, fellow bikers and biker chicks! I still don't have mine running but hopefully I will Saturday! I am not much of a motorcycle mechanic...just need someone to show me a few things, that's all it took for me to be able to do a little work on cars...just basic stuff. Don't do much of it anymore...rather pay for it than spend my time...lol!

Glad to see so many are getting riding time in. My time will come. I just have to be patient...lol...not one of my virtues.

Good evening, everyone... :)

Well just finished the dinner dishes. I wanted to get the lawn cut today after work. We are supposed to get T-storms later in the afternoon over the next few days. I also picked up my new battery. I'll put that in on Saturday.

Dinny I hear ya on the allergy situation. The pollen here in Connecticut is the worst since 1989. Christ I wipe off my glass top patio table and by the next day it's covered in pollen again... My head is so stuffed. I spent last weekend mostly outdoors and I'm paying for it big time. I have been taking some medication but I hate that out of it feeling. As far as jumping in the saddle and going for a ride! Shit I have even noticed a lose of hearing my head is so stuffed up. My eyes itch. I feel like shit. Today when I cut the lawn I wore a painters mask. Anyone know when allergy seasons ends... I'm am about to break out the gas mask next...! I bet that would look sweet riding down the road wearing a gas mask and steel pot... :D So right now I think ridden may not be good for me... :(

KnightWing, I am afriad all BBQ are in a holding parttern until allergy season lightens up.

Sassy wished I lived a little closer to you sweety. After rebuilding the carbs on my bike and syncing them we'd have a dam good shot at it... :D

Goddess I am gonna have to take a rain check. When ever you and I are together I find I am in good shape cardiovascular wise... ;) If we were together right now I would be in the obits in the morning! That wouldn't be a good think... :( Sorry baby girl.

Well everyone I am gonna head off to bed and try to get some sleep. Wanna wish everybody a super great evening... ;)

Ah hell, Jade...

I think you'd look cute going down the road in the wind with a gas mask on!!! But, it would be hotter than hell.

Now that would have been real handy having you around about 3 weeks ago when I found my problem. Would really be great right now, since I actually am legal to ride it again. A mouse had been up in under the carb cover, found bird seed laying on the top of the primary cover, which is directly under my carb...took the cover off the carb and the rest of the evidence was in the filter...I am sure it is related to whatever is wrong because it had been starting fine with no leak pre bird seed shells and mouse droppings... Damn mice!!!!!!

Jaded,
There is a date code stamped into the case of any battery. Most Auto parts stores that know what they are doing can tell you the date the battery was made. As far as the new battery goes I recommend a Gell Cell ! They put up to the harsh enviroment of a motorcycle the best. I also keep the bike and Corvette hooked up to battery tenders during storage months.
Sorry to hear you missed a good ride but I've been there myself.

NYWings

I thought of all of you guys today.

I was waiting at the front of my building, there's a large area in front of the apt door, and stairs below it. This guy came up the street on a bike. He looked at me the whole way, I smiled as he approached thinking of you guys. You all seem to be a pretty friendly bunch. I wasn't exactly dressed sexy, just nice everyday cloths. :)

Jaded... that sounds soooooooooo bad! There is non drowsy allergy medication, I find tylenol allergy sinus to be good. You can even ask your Dr for perscription medication. And.... I think you need it. :)

That is so funny, a painters mask and gas mask next, you're neighbors must be looking at you with that look.

Sassykat,
Couple things you may want to check. Some may sound very basic so forgive me.
Fresh fuel, If you didn't stablize the fuel get rid of it for fresh stuff.
New air cleaner cause mouse pee doesn't help the airflow.
Now those nasty critters have a habit of eating insullation on wires to.
Take the plugs out and squirt a little "Stop N Stor" in each cylinder. Clean or replace the plugs and make sure they are gapped properly. With the plugs out hold one against the head with a wooden stick or some other NON Metallic object and turn it over. Nice blue spark and ou can move on. Weak light white spark or no spark and you need to service the electrical.
With good spark and the plugs back in you can use a little carb cleaner spray on the carb but MAKE SURE YOU PROTECT ALL PAINTED SURFACES...

Some carbs have a drain. If so open it and flush the bad gas out. If not you may have to drop the bowl but if your not confident with taking a carb apart don't do it.

With fresh gas and good spark all should be good and it should fire right up.

Good luck!

Good morning, gang... :)

Woohoo it's Friday and I have only have to get through today at work then I can kick back and relax. It rained here last night off and on. We are supposed to get rain this afternoon. The weather guess'r are saying that rain for the next several days. At least my gardens are getting a nice watering... :D

NYWings I didn't check the battery casing. I know last year if I didn't ride it at least once a week I would have to recharge it. I had a 1.5 amp trickle charge on it over the winter month but it wasn't enough. My interstate actually has a amps guage in the instrument cluster and it shows the generator charging fine. I'll go over to my storage unit and replace it tomorrow.

Sassy, NYWings gave ya some good info. The only thing I would question is when trying to start it how much cramp got sucked into the the carb. Myself I would pull off the carb and get a rebuilding kit... :)

Well gang it's getting late. I need to get my ass in gear and get ready for work. Have a super great day... :D

Pollen count is sky high here too, or I'd tell you the ocean air would clear your lungs....you know full well I'd make sure you could breathe....or at least give you some mouth to.....resuscitation (sp?)

Good morning, gang... :)

It's a overcast morning here in Woodbury. It rained a little over night but not enough to do the garden good so I will have to water them. I have a cover over my patio table and you can see pollen ponds all over the table... :( The air quality this morning is bad. It looks like it is going to be another very humid day again. I am probably going to spend most of the day indoors so I can breath. I can always close the windows and put on the A/C... :D

Goddess your method of resuscitation is truly amazing. I am not sure if it really would save a life! But I know how big a grin it causes... :D Not very many have gotten all the way down to the base... ;) I will let you know when we are planning are rescheduled 1st cook out. Perhaps you can put on a demonstration...

Good luck on the carb today Sassy.

Want to wish all my friends here on Biker's run a super great Saturday. Catcha ya all later... :)

Thank you NYWings!!!! I will print this off and take it to the garage with me....I am getting at the age that I can't remember anything, so I have to have it in writing...LOL!!!

Seriously, thanks for the advice.

... :D

I am hoping that flushing it out will help....someone else had suggested this to me...I did put Sta-bil (?) in the gas tank before winter and as I said before, it was starting ok until I found the bird seed...mice mess...I don't know...will try the easy stuff everyone has been suggesting, then if all else fails, I will get my mechanic. He just doesn't like working on Sporty's, so I would like to solve this myself. He will help me, but I hate to bother him if I don't have to. I will have to ask him, but I think he changed spark plugs last year. And it was fine on the couple times I took it out after he tuned it up. Just didn't ride much cause of my suspended license...but did start it up often. Just sit on it and listen to it purr and feel the vibration...
