Well I'm at a dead stop....
Actually tearing down the the van to get the old waterpump went pretty smooth. I like to clean thing off before re assembly. Thats only me it just seems to look neat'r...
Took out the new pump opened up the gasket bag and there was a read important change slip in the bag. They changed the pulley mount stud from standard to meter. The studs form the old pump that holds the pulley in place is different and won't work...
Now having been a parts specialist I would have included a footnote about that change. As a note to myself to sell the customer four new studs and nuts. That change affects every vehicle that uses that part number...! So this way my customer wouldn't be in my predicament. We're only talking four new studs and nuts. I would have thought they would be with the new pump... 
This only fortify's my beliefs that we are striving to become a nation of total incompetence and we are making giant leap each day...
Very few people take pride in what they do...! Granted this is only a miner problem. But now I can't finish todays project...
