Biker's Run..........................

Good evening, everyone... :)

Dammit what a beautiful day... ;) But definitely way to short. I just got home and I'm still vibrate'n. Face got a little burn being out today. Can't say I matched HazeNY but got 107 miles on this afternoon. Took a trip up through the north western sector of Connecticut. No destination. Just kicked back and took a slow ride. There had to be a million bikes out on the road today. Have no idea were the hell they all come from. Got to the junction of rte 7 / rte 64 when a pack of bike rolled by. Had to be at least 30 bikes most Harleys. But some metric. So I hopped on the back and made it 31... :D Normally the police break up large groups of bikers. But for some reason they weren't interested today. We got lots of people out in there yards waving as we passed by. The ol'e girl ran with the best of them... ;)

I am not sure but Marcus Dairy in Danbury used to do bike runs on Sundays mornings. The fall is coming up and I need a ride'n partner(s) that's local. The guy I used to ride with is selling his business and house. He wants to move south and has no time to go out. My daughter in laws step Dad is selling his bike as his son is to busy to ride. Ain't as much fun ride'n alone... :(

Well think I'm gonna toss a couple of burgers out on the grill and call it a night. Want to wish everyone a great start to the new work week.

Ride safe and ride naked... :)
Did he say ride naked?

I keep meaning to go back and read about the cookout thingy y'all had recently. I happened upon a couple of random posts and it seemed like fun. any idea what page/post I might wanna start with?

also... cy..... did I PM you last night? I sat here and wrote a fairly long one I think, but when I tried to send it I'm not sure it actually made the cut. I could blame my computer but it could just as easily have been user error. ok, drugged user error.

Baby girl it was a beautiful ride'n day. Couldn't ask for a better one. New England is my favorite place in the fall. I just love the multi colors. The leafs are starting to change do to the shortage of rain. But it is still beautiful.

Oh and it are thread remember. Ya can't hi jack your own thread... :D

Now I am envious...I do miss the north this time of year...days warm enough to go without a sweater and nights cools enough to make you want to cuddle, esp in front of a fire.

Yep and the smell of wood burning stoves fills the air as you ride off into the chilly morning air... :D Maybe thats why I never left New England...

Fall is a great time for riding. We're not as far north as you but it's just around the corner.

Actually this is the first bike I have ever owned with a full Vetter fairing. For summer ride'n it sucks. Even with the side vents open it it warm behind that fairing. However on a brisk morning like today it really works nicely. Seeing the times I really like ride'n is the spring and fall my GoldWing is ideal. Perhaps I should save up for a second bike to ride in the summer. One without a fairing... :D

Maybe go British?

I went for a ride today on the scooter. I do enjoy getting out in the country and feeling my hair blowing in the wind. I do some wonderful thinking on that thing...

Have a good day all....and ride safe. :rose:

I shouldn't be doing it either....even though there is no law....I have seen the consequences of riding without a helmet..not good.

Happy you had a great ride!!! :D

I have seen it too but i still think one should get to choose. Yes it was great. We have some great curvy roads and beautiful hills around here.

Yes the scooter might take awhile and you can't ride those on the Interstate...lol

Hi everyone,
Glad to see some new folks here too! Welcome
Great family here and jaded does a great job of keepin things going.

Cyikac that bike looks sweet! Glad your getting to do some riding... The best riding season is already upon us with leaves already changing.
Do go for a ride on the Blue ridge Parkway when you get the chance. It has to be experienced cause words don't do it justice.

Jaded, Glad you had some time to get a little riding it. Your a busy guy

HazeNY,,, Still struggling with the pics. When I shrink them they are so small it's not worth trying to view them. Any hints?

Well it's been a busy weekend and I'm ready for bed now, so goodnight all and ride safe.

NYWings

Good morning, everyone... :)

Well it sounds like everyone got a little saddle time this weekend... ;) Yesterday was the longest ride I've done in a while. I'll be doing more in the fall... :D

CT dumped there helmet law. I wear a skid lid most of the time. However there are the times I like the feel wind in my hair too. Was with a buddy that went down on the parkway. His sporty got bumped into the gaurd railing by a 4 wheeler. He was wearing a helmet and it saved his life. They do work!

Want to welcome mrtnmoon and fyrfyter to are little Biker's Run thread. Enjoy your stay and have fun. When your on the Biker's Run thread your always among friends... ;)

Well gang got to get ready for work. Want to wish everyone a super great day... :D

Ride safe and ride naked... :)
