Biker's Run..........................

I used to love the Woodbury Fireman's fair. Conn has some of the best fiars...the Bethlehem, Terryville, Durham...just to name a few. The Wolcott fair was in full swing when I was up for the picnic but SG and I did not stop at it.

Hey Jaded...I was disappointed to hear Johnnies next to "Squash-a frog" is closing down. Guess progress is making it's way towards your sleepy burg. We used to stop there for ice cream after a full day at the park..they ahd the best black raspberyy going.

GG...know what you mean about the coast being a little too frantic this weekend. All those city folk who just have to get that final burn in before the snows of winter arrive. I prefer the beaches form Novemeber to April...it may be chilly but mostly desserted and that makes walking along them more fun.

Haze...thanks for your help yesterday. Appreciated it.

Wishing everyone a great Sunday...ride safe

My favorite day to go for a walk on the beach (and the day I never miss) is New Years's Day...I'm usually alone, and the crunch of frozen sand under my feet, the occassional snow on the beach, the gulls screaming in the wind...and the pure desolation is sooooo calming.

Jaded....once he wakes, I'll ask if he wants to go for the ride, answer will prolly be no...we are enjoying a totally quite weekend....nice not to HAVE to do anything, be anywhere, see anyone....well....cept each other...and the sheets.... (Sides, I really want a repeat perfomance of last night, not sure what the hell he did...but DAYUM!)

Say hi to TJ for me...and don't do anything I wouldn't!

As to one man satisfying me...nope never gonna happen...at least LP understands and approves of that...

trying again

Hard to get the pics so tiny so I hope this works

Welcome to Biker’s Run…. :)

My name is Jaded1 and I am a Honda Gold Wing Interstate rider. I thought it would be interesting to see how many other Litizens are Biker’s. This thread is for people that enjoy riding. Whether you ride every day or if you’re just a week end warrior like me this is your thread. It doesn’t make any difference if you’re a Harley rider, Honda rider, Yamaha rider, Suzuki rider and so on. It’s about hitting the open road and enjoying the feeling of freedom. Getting the opportunity to find a ridden buddy and heading out for a bike run.

One of the benefits of are hobby is that we get to see a lot of the real America. There are many very scenic trips we have all ridden that we can now share on this thread.

There are many events for good cause that we all support. If there is an event in your area post it here on are thread. Perhaps you can pick up additional riders from the thread to support your cause.

Planning a trip and not familiar with the area. Ask a thread member on the thread in the area about hotels in the area. Good places to eat.

Now I ask you who isn’t up for a good poker run… ;) Post a announcement here.

Having a running problem with your iron horse? Ask the thread! Perhaps someone else has experienced the very same problem and figured it out.

This is a thread for bikers by bikers…. :)

“Rider’s up… :D
It's an everyday ride for me. Starting to get rather rainy every day now though. I hate getting soaked, so why do I keep doing it?

Good morning, everyone... :)

It's another absolutely beautiful chilly morning here in the small New England town of Woodbury, CT. I am sitting here with a fresh cup of Dunkin Donut's coffee trying to wake up. The skys are a cloud less beautiful blue. The birds are outside fighting at the bird feeder. Yesterday went well with the burgers and dogs. TigerJen is a big Anthony Hopkins fan so I treated her to the movie "Worlds fastest Indain" which she enjoyed very much. Then we watched "Wild Hogs" which is a funny movie. TJ left around 9:30 pm.

Cyikac it was great hearing your voice yesterday. I could hear that you were feeling a bit better in your voice and that made me very happy. I like knowing my friend is starting to feel a little better...

GG I completely understand. I was only extending the hand of friendship to you and LP.

HazeNY and NYWings today is my day to get out on my ol'e girl. I really have no set direction for today. Just think I'll go were the winds blow me. The weather is getting chilly and the leaves are already just beginning to change mostly do to the lack of rain.

Cyikac if we lived closer sweety you could hop on the back of my horse and go with me... :) Baby girl I would love to feel that sweet little body of yours pressed against this ol'e boy's back.

Countrygent I can easily answer your question... :D Your like the rest of us on this thread. Your a little bit of a renegade that has to feel the breeze on your face every now and then. It helps keep your head on striaght. Look around you my friend. Yes, we are the older generation for most part. But, not one of us are ready to head off to the pasture quitely. We are that different kinda breed...!

Well gang I am gonna make some blueberry pancakes for this morning breakfast. Anyone hungry... :D Then it off to shower and get out 2 wheel'n.

Ride safe and ride naked... :)

....I misplaced my 12mm socket....maybe I should have posted this on the cry thread but I figured ya'll would know how not having one will bring a heavy project on a bike to a screeching halt...

...I promise you will not have to break a nail, wear a hostess uniform and serve beer, or sit there and be cute (you are that anyway)...

...there will be plenty of grease, skinned knuckles, cuss words, and shared satisfaction in getting that VW engine out of the frame and on the floor...

...hope you can be around to get that monster threaded back on that little hole in the frame (after the carbs and clutch cover get thier TLC)...after that, the hostess uniform might not be a bad idea..<evil grin>

Now that sounds like a fun afternoon. I happen to be very good at getting things lined up even if the hole is small...
as to serving beer...I like mine cold thank you...and see that you don't spill any as you cross the garage...course not sure what you'll be wearing...

...I can only shake my head...when this is done, the dirty and grimey clothes will likely be in a pile near the door...and your choice of beer will be iced to your liking...today I learned by someone who knows what a few beers will likely do to you....so lets get the bike going and see if my source was right...<evil grin>

Actually it is wine that makes me giddy...1 glass and I get friendlier, 2 glasses I dance on the table, 3 glasses and I dance under the table....
Good thing Jaded didn't serve that wine I brought to the picnic.

What a Labor day weekend.

I got to ride my neighbors dirt bike for 2 hours and then it was hit the books again.

Will someone make Summer start over again?

Good evening, everyone... :)

Dammit what a beautiful day... ;) But definitely way to short. I just got home and I'm still vibrate'n. Face got a little burn being out today. Can't say I matched HazeNY but got 107 miles on this afternoon. Took a trip up through the north western sector of Connecticut. No destination. Just kicked back and took a slow ride. There had to be a million bikes out on the road today. Have no idea were the hell they all come from. Got to the junction of rte 7 / rte 64 when a pack of bike rolled by. Had to be at least 30 bikes most Harleys. But some metric. So I hopped on the back and made it 31... :D Normally the police break up large groups of bikers. But for some reason they weren't interested today. We got lots of people out in there yards waving as we passed by. The ol'e girl ran with the best of them... ;)

I am not sure but Marcus Dairy in Danbury used to do bike runs on Sundays mornings. The fall is coming up and I need a ride'n partner(s) that's local. The guy I used to ride with is selling his business and house. He wants to move south and has no time to go out. My daughter in laws step Dad is selling his bike as his son is to busy to ride. Ain't as much fun ride'n alone... :(

Well think I'm gonna toss a couple of burgers out on the grill and call it a night. Want to wish everyone a great start to the new work week.

Ride safe and ride naked... :)
