Biker's Run..........................

Happy Holiday's..................

Good morning, girls and boys... :)

It was another 34 degree morning... :( I have to get the laundry done today and some house cleaning. Tomorrow I work and I'm off on Wednesday. From the weather prediction it looks like a nice Wednesday afternoon. Perhaps I can get in a short ride. I can do some of the pre Thanksgiving cooking/baking in the morning and evening. That way I won't be going crazy Thanksgiving Day.

Thanksgiving Day menu:

. Fresh 18 pound turkey with stuffing cooked to a golden brown perfection... :D
. Sweet young peas.
. Cream corn.
. Yukon gold smashed potatoes.
. Sweet candied yams.
. Homemade turkey gravy.
. Cranberry/raspberry jellied sauce.
. Buttermilk biscuits.
. Plenty of sweet creamy unsalted butter.
. Ice cold fresh farm made apple cider.
. Freshly baked homemade pumpkin pie.
. Apple brown Betty.
. Rich French vanilla ice cream.

Life is good. Being one hell of a GREAT cook Thanksgiving Day is a fun day for me. I get to utilize my culinary skills and my creative abilities. I love the smells that emanate from the kitchen and fill the house on holidays. New England during the holidays is a wonderful place to be. It won't be long before the small town of Woodbury will start decorating for Christmas. The smell of wood burning stoves will fill the cold air. People in tiny towns become friendlier and the sound of the words Merry Christmas can be heard every where. There are smiles and laughter every where. I guess that is why I haven't left this tiny community and it's old traditions... :D

Well, time to get my sweet butt in gear. Want to wish everyone a super Monday. Let me be the first to wish everyone a happy holiday season and remember those that have a special meaning to you... :D

Stay warm and remain upright... :)

Good morning, everybody... :)

It's a very chilly morning here in Woodbury. The weather crew are saying we have a sleet storm coming at us from the west. To early for this winter bull shit... :(

Wanted to wish everyone a super Tuesday... :D It's off to work for me. Catcha ya all later.

Stay warm and stay upright... :)

A very Happy Thanksgiving Day to one and all....

Good morning, boys and girls.... :)

This morning started early at 6 am. Wanted to get a jump on making a yummy Thanksgiving dinner. I got the bird in the oven at 10 am. I am planning an early dinner. That way I can get the pots, pans, and dishes done and get to relax the rest of the evening. I do have to work tomorrow. I figured I jump on and wish my friends a Happy Thanksgiving. To those that hate me a Happy Thanksgiving just the same. I was about to get ready to call my kids and wish them a very Happy Thanksgiving.

I would like to take a moment to wish the men and women serving are country today a very Happy Thanksgiving. I wished each and every one of you could be with your family and loved ones. Having been a dog face and overseas I know how lonely you feel right now. I want you to know that my heart is with you today. God speed your safe return... :D

The fog has burn off and it is getting sun. The weather people are say shower's this afternoon. Oh, well...

It off to the shower and get ready for the day. Stay warm and stay upright... :)

Good morning, everyone... :)

Thanksgivings dinner was incredible. Everything came out absolutely prefect. I am not sure why I don't make turkey more often...

Talked with my beautiful daughter last night. She, my handsome son in law, and my very handsome grandson are coming to Connecticut December 5th. They live in Texas. It will be great having them in December... :) Wished we lived closer.

I am working today. Wanted to come on and wish everybody a great Friday... :D

Stay warm, stay dry, and stay upright. Catcha ya all later... :)

Evening all, I think everyone is hibernating...with this cold weather I don't blame them!!!! It was 22 at 8 AM this morning....brrrrr...and it's real cold out tonight too. I didn't think the diesel was going to start today and that was after lunch! Time to put the light weight oil in it. Everyone have a good Friday evening :)

Sorry yall..***** has gotten hectic...and I haven't been overly "friendly". Boss's Dad passed yesterday...so went in this morning to cancel his day out. Had family over yesterday and my bro over today...ok, I'm done till next year.

Good morning, Hazeny.

It's a chilly morning here in Connecticut. Not being a hard-core cold weather rider I have all ready started adding fuel stabilizer to my tank. The place I store my baby isn't heated but it is very well sealed cold gusts of wind.

Now as far as your diesel truck is concerned besides the lighter engine oil. Start adding diesel fuel cold weather additive. Yes, the place that sells the fuel should have been adding some additive to there fuel tanks but it's minim. You may be on the border of the fuel gelling in you tanks and lines. If you can find it there is a product called "HEAT". Should you experience gelling you'll have to remove your fuel filter and replace it. Depending on the size of your tanks will determine how many quarts you'll need to your tanks. But the stuff really works. It will de gel your fuel and is a lot cheaper than having your truck towed in and having them add a Product like "HEAT" or parking your ride inside their garage. HEAT is used only after you have a gelled problem. I used to work for International as a parts specialist. HEAT has saved many of truckers gelled on the side of the highway.

Morning All, I've been gelled or I should say the truck has before. So when it get's to be this time of year I always add anti-gel. Sunny and Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr here today. Everyone have a great one!!!

Good morning, GG... :)

Sorry to hear your life has gotten so busy. Hopefully some of it has been a good busy too... :) I am sure being with family should have been somewhat pleasant. I changed the brand of fresh gourmet turkey that I normally but and it came out absolutely fantastic for Thanksgiving... :D I am doing left overs tonight. Then the remainder will be turkey soup next week.

My daughter is coming to Connecticut Dec 5th through Dec 8th. That is the Christmas weekend here in Woodbury with it's tree lighting and Christmas fairs. I am sure my very handsome grandson will get a kick out of it. They will be getting into CT late Dec 5th and spend Dec 6th with my ex wife. There spending Dec 7th with me. Spending Dec 8th with her brother. They have to be back in Texas in the 9th for work on Monday. I am looking forward to their visit... :D

Sound like my good friend needs to chill a little and find time for her! Big hugs. I'm here when you need me... :)

Good morning, to everyone else... :)

It's a chilly 32 degree morning here in the small New England town of Woodbury, CT. But at least it is a sunny day... :D

I had to replace the battery in my van yesterday. I checked it out and it appears that some of the cells were on the weak side. With the cold weather and the short drives I have been doing it wasn't holding a charge. I would have to keep boosting it periodically with my battery charger. So it was time to replace it.

This is going to be a chill weekend for me. I was planning on doing the laundry today. I had a friend give me a snow blower. It belonged to his Dad. His Dad is moving in with him in there home. He is getting a little to old to take care of himself at 87 yo. It and hasn't been used in several years and won't start. I think I may play with it this afternoon and see if I can get it running. It's a Toro snow blower and not that old so it shouldn't be a problem with parts. It has electric start which is very nice... :D

It is supposed to get warmer tomorrow. Depending on how warm it gets I am try to get out for saddle time tomorrow. I am going to dread putting it away for the winter. It is a means of anger management for me and reduces my body count dramatically... ;)

Well, time to get my butt in the shower and get my day started.

Catcha ya all later. Stay warm, stay dry, and stay upright... :)

Good morning, everyone... :)

It's a sunny but very chilly morning here in Woodbury, CT. It is 32 degrees here with a heavy frost almost looks like a light snow. I do hope the weather people are right and it warms up to get some ride'n in.

Hazeny, hope it warms up enough so you can get some saddle time... ;)

GG, hope this week is a bit better for ya. You need to get up to CT so I can de stress ya...

Whspr and Sassy hope all is going good for you two gals...

Webbo I know that as long as there is no snow on the ground your out two wheel'n! You're a frick'n mad man my friend.. :D

Well,. time to start my day. I definitely need another cup of coffee. Want to wish everybody a super Sunday.... :D

Stay warm, stay dry, and stay upright. Catcha ya all later... :)

Morning All, sunny and cool here today.

As far as the riding goes it's all done here until Spring as all the roads have lots of salt on them.

Everyone have a great Sunday!!!

Sorry to hear bro... :( I was able to get a couple of hours in today. Wasn't to bad when I first started out but got cool quick. But I am beginning to believe is getting time to hang up the keys for the season... :(

Good morning, girls and boys... :)

It's a rainy morning here in Woodbury. The temperature is hoovering around freezing. The good thing is I don't have to go anywhere. I am going to relax and get some reading in today... :D I am still fine tuning my chili recipe... ;)

Want to wish everyone a super Monday... :D

Stay warm, stay dry, and stay upright... :)

Good morning, girls and boys... :)

I think it finally stopped raining. It's to dark outside to tell. It is abnormally warm for this time of the year at 54 degrees...

Today is a work day for me. Tomorrow I want to start prepping the van for winter. I don't mind snow as long as I am inside naked next to a fireplace with a hot honey... :D But not seeing that happening in the near future I'll just have to walk around and grumble... :( This weekend I have to do some house cleaning and child proofing the place. Don't want my handsome grandson getting injured. I'll probably run down to Kmart this weekend and pick up a toy for him and I to play with... ;)

GG wish you would talk to me. I am gett'n a little worried about you my friend.

I want to wish everyone a super great day. Time to get ready for work. Any of you young chic's want hope in the shower with a biker dude. I really need a reason to call out of work and play... OK I didn't see any hands go up so I'll have to head off.

Stay warm, stay dry, and stay upright. Catcha ya all later... :)

damn Jaded, I am not a young chic, but I would of jumped in the shower with you.......too bad I am so far away.........maybe one day next spring I will just ride my bike on up into your part of the country, so that i can meet the man that is all about cooking these big meals, and loves doing it also.......and I am sure that I will need to wash the road off of me......you wash my back and I will wash yours.............. ;)

Good morning, everyone... :)

Well, it looks like we have a good chance for some snow on Sunday... :( Once those white flakes and ice show up that ends the riding season for me. I already have a fuel stabilizer in the fuel tank. I will start it Saturday for the last time this season. Then I'll pull the battery so I can bring it home and put it on the trickle charger. I like the idea of no electricity in the storage area it reduces the risk of fire. But on the other hand It would be nice to plug in the battery charge without taking the battery out... However, I sleep better with the reduced fire risk. To much time in that bike to loose it to a fire... :D

Good morning, Blueeyes... :) It is very nice to see you again on Biker's Run. About the shower comment... ;) We can get to that right after I get coffee started for us. Oh, shit did I just say that out loud... No folks Blueeyes did spend last night with me... I know how road dirt can be stubborn some times. Just point to the area and I'll rub it real hard. This procedure will need to be repeated several times to insure we get it off several times. I am sure you'll feel better once I get you off over and over again... :D

OK gang time to get my sweet butt in gear and start my day. Today is a work day for me. It is going to be a long day. Sounds like a pizza night to me.

Stay warm, stay dry, and stay upright!

Jaded, I have always been here......just lurking so to speak... ...but it is nice to be back........

good morning all....it is a sad thing that you as well as many others are going to have to put the bikes to sleep for a little while.....but I agree, the riding in the ice and the snow can be entirely too dangerous.........I will still have another month or so that I can ride mine, before I have to stop....that is if the weather is good to me...... ;) ........ :nana:

and as for that spot that you keep washing over and over, well it feels very good.........you know that song, "Do that to me one more time"...<grin>

Hope you all have a great day........and ride safe

Morning all, everything is snow, salt and sand covered here...next riding will be in April or May.

Blueeyes, nice to see you back in the thread.

Laterz....

Jaded darlin, didn't mean to make you worry...I just took a break from the computer...*****'s been too hectic lately to spend any time online...you still have my number....my cell is with me at all times!

Hope all had a happy turkey day and that ya'll are riding safe....assuming it's still rideable by you...sunny out there today...winds a blowing, not strong, but steady....don't know the temp, as I haven't bothered to put on clothes yet.

HI Haze, it is nice to be back.....I have still been around, but with this anatomy class this semester it has kept me pretty busy.....I know the next two weeks are going to be pure hell trying to make sure that I am ready for the final.......I will be popping in and out occassionally though, to allow myself some down time from the books.....sorry that the snow and ice has set in your way.....I know it has to be rough not being able to ride the bikes for a while now......I hope that it does not get that bad here for me......If it does, I may have to make a trip to GA, with the bike in tow, so that I can still ride some............<grin>...........hope everyone is having a great day.... the weekend is almost here.................. :nana:

Good morning, girls and boys... :)

Friday is finally here... ;) This is going to be a busy weekend for me. With my Grandson coming to Grandpa's on next Friday the place has to be spotless and toddler proof. I also want to take a look at the snow blower and see if I can get it working. Supposedly we have are first snow storm coming in to Connecticut late Sunday into Monday... :( That signals me to put the bike to sleep for the winter... :(

Blueeyes your lucky to have another months riding. Now as far as that spot is concerned I'll polish it until it shines...

Ya Hazeny looks like I'll be joining your snow, salt, and sand ranks soon. For me the temperature will have to be back up to the 50's again. Next year I am going to try to get more saddle time. However, that will depend when and if I move to my new place next year.

GG, the call was coming next sweetie. Actually I will give you a shout probably Sunday evening. We have been good friends for a long time and I do care about you my friend. You have always shown real concern for me and I recognize that. I also understand that you have a life other than Lit and me. So sometimes I am a little reluctant to intrude your space. Now as far as not dressed yet! Wanna see...

OK, time for me to get this sweet body into the shower. Today is a work day for me. I need to get my snow tires on today after work. A man's work is never done...

Stay warm, stay dry, and stay upright. Catch ya all later... :)

Good morning Jaded and all the other biker guys and gals.

I haven't been spending much time on the computer and very little at lit..***** is just keeping me busy.

Glad to hear your turkey dinner turned out well. I went to my nephew's and visited with my dad, bro and all his family, then went to my other bros' house to visit with him and have dessert. Was a good day.

Been a little under the weather, but starting to bounce back. One more night of work, then I will have 3 days off, maybe 4, trying to get a last minute vaca day worked in as a friend is coming from out of state and the only day he has open is my first day back at work...found this out this morning, so called into work and trying to see if I can get the day...*keeping fingers crossed*...haven't seen this friend for a while and it would be nice to sit down with an adult frosty beverage and catch up.

Well, it's about time for me to get my happy ass to bed.

Hope everyone has a great day.

Kisses to any who wants one!!!
