Blurt Thread III - Emporium of Unexpected Exclamations & Revelations

So just like any other day then? :D
You bolded the wrong part. Tequila is reserved for evenings when it doesn't matter if I get into trouble, because never a good idea.

I had a wellbeing ultrasound on Minishine today, all well so far but another poor kid coming into the world with my nose it seems. :(

Your nose is adorable, and so is minishine.

Blurt--I'd much rather stay home and lie on the couch than go to this picnic, but since I seem to be bringing most of the food, that would be rude.

Nothing a couple of Bar-B-Q skewers and some bubblegum couldn't fix though, right? ;)

Glad to hear scan revealed all is well. With your chromosomes involved, I'm certain the wee shine will be cute as a button, sweet, and adorable.

I'd rather picnic than get up and go to work. Fuck Tuesdays, amiright?!

Last week it was Monday, and now it's Tuesday. By my math, by the end of June you'll be hating the whole week. Of course, if minishiune has arrived by then, you'll like come to hate every night, too. ;)

could somebody please text me in five minutes and remind me to get purple Gatorade? 'Cause the way things are going lately, I'll have forgotten all about it in three.

Ugg! Thats awful! Sorry to hear that. What happened?

Yep, it sucks big time. im not gonna share a lot of details on the boards (for reasons that i hope are obvious), except to say that it was a dreadfully unfortunate accident. :(

She has surgery in about 30 min. Prayers and well-wishes much appreciated.

Oh Honey, terrible to hear. Prayers and love.

thank you, ladies.:rose:

been doing it a few weeks now, there's a steep learning curve, but you have to adjust quickly and roll with the punches if you want to keep your head above water. Our staff has been terrific, and we've experienced such amazing generosity, I hardly have the words to thank everyone, including dear friends here who check in on me now and then. We've had some rough days and nights, but we're getting through them together-- so far, so good. :)

Thanks for being a safe place for me to blurt what I can't say on FB. ;) Love you guys!

Oh bugger!

Best wishes from here too.

When it is weeks in ICU, it is a nasty one!

the 8 days we spend there some years ago was more than enough.

Thanks!

We've been here three weeks, probably stay another couple of months. Surgery every week, sometimes more. We're in the burn unit, so there's lots of debriding to be done before the permanent grafts. Also, infection and the body's natural rejection of foreign matter (donor skin for temp. grafts) can slow down the recovery process as well.

It's an adventure that's not for the faint of heart! :)

I'll keep you and yours in my thoughts.

A  from the good little witch.

Good thoughts and prayers sent.

Gosh, thanks, everyone!

Today's surgery went well, thank you all so much for your kind words and thoughts.:rose:

This is good news. Please remember to take a little time for yourself somehow. I know it's tough for caregivers to think of themselves sometimes, but it's really important for you to recharge every once in a while. You'll both benefit from it. :rose:

Glasses suck
You must have had to pay extra for those. *nudge nudge wink wink*

Listen to Yank, honey. He is a wise, wise man.

Rufus you big dumb oaf. Really? Catalytic converter? *grumble grumble stomp mutter grump* That's it. I want Jezebel back.

Rufus needs a new cat already? The universe is spitting out far too much unfair lately.

Indeed, Rufus needed towed to the garage yesterday. And while to the gentlemen therein I may seem sweet, charming, and easy going, if they don't fix it quickly, quietly, and under the 90 day/3000 mile warranty, I will be fixin to get my 'burg' all up on them.

See, imagine how much easier it would be to get compliance if you had a portable rack, perhaps on wheels?

I wish you well on the warranty-ness of this endeavor. My experience with such things has not been stellar. My glasses were never quite good enough for me to see the truly fine print.
