Bras: Are there any good ones???

Batchoohus said:
I hate my bras, just recently I have begun to really hate those damn things
I hate underwire ones because they cut, jab, and poke me, I don't like that.
And shoulder straps, hello, made with scratchy material.
Shoulder straps that skide off all day long!!!!!!!!
Or bras with scrathy stuff on them where it rubs you raw the first itme you wear it and you just want to kill people.
I sometimes like sports bras but, man once they begin to lose their elastic, shudder.

I reall y hate cups that my breasts are wither to big for and slide out the bottom or not big enough and there is this very unattractive empty place like where I have no breast to fill in the material.

So far , this month i have thrown out five bras!!!
I hate bras.
And I would like to know if any woman out there has found a superior bra, that actually fits real women's breasts,
please?

I hate bras too, nothing ever fits right. I should probably get them custom made, but unfortunately all funds go to college, no dough!

In the sixties they burned bras, but just think how saggy and ugly boobs would be if we didn't wear bras. We'd look like those African tribal women in documentaries. Do you really want to have your boobs hanging down to your ankles?

i have found that Lane Bryant bras are ok. but the quality sucks on their undies and bras. they wear out real quick. but they have sexy styles, and overall are ok. but i was getting tired of wearing my undies once then having them come apart at the seems when i wash them. just my 2 cents.

Skye mind if I ask if they are from the store or the catalog? And if I was you I would complain to someone. They are too expensive not to stay together and last. The ones I have have lasted for years now. hehe of course there are times when I go without!

the store. and it hasn't happened just once. on three different occasions i have bought undies. and you usually buy the 6 for .... deals and usually 4 out of the 6 break around the elastic. for a while i thought it was just me, buying wrong size or something, but it happened again. and with the bras. its usually the underwire that sticks out after a week. its been a while and i will check it out again. but Lane Bryant is the same...they never have my size, so i wander around with nice cups, with little tents over the nipples. sighs.

I have found that Lane Bryant (thought a little expensive at times) has this wonderful bra. It is in their stores not the catalog. It is like a sports bra but with more support and they dont' wear out like a sports bra. They have an extra layer of cotton/spandex inside of them for support instead of wires. I work in a hospital for 8 and 12 hour shifts and those are the only thing I wear. If you should go into their store they will fit you for a bra best for your size. My only prob is the adjuster is in the back... now how in the heck can you adjust in the back? But then you don't have those stupid little plastic adjusters digging in my skin either... Hope this helps ya out some!

Oh yes. Lane Bryant has wonderful bras. Just bought some sexy ones with Angel..along with some new thongs...Great for Bras...:rose:

I am sorry to hear that Sky! I used to work for Lane Bryants years ago after High School. If you should have a problem now a days I would be talking to someone about them. And I have a friend that is built like you as well.. so your not alone! (hugs)

Holding out my drawer of bras...totalling 29 ( i actually counted) i have never had a bra that fit me. the problem for me is that i am a larger woman with small breasts. lightbulb. i am probably the only one on earth with this problem. Bra makers for larger women assume because you are large, you have big basooms as well. well i am living proof that this isn't the case. i fall between a b and a c. but they don't make b cups for my size, soooo i have to wear c's witch leaves me with cups that are too large, and if i wear teeshirts and blouses, i have little lines around my nipples. THIS is so frustrating for me. lol i currently wear only one bra. have had it for 5 years. its frayed, pinned, and patched. i have others i wear. but only when i am washing my ONE bra. its pathetic. anyways so much for me boring you all with my bra nightmare stories.

heard the only way to get good bras are if you have them custom made. some sites on the web are good for that.

:) Skye

Oh gosh, that is my biggest problem, I am a 44 B/C and it is so hard to find bras that size...
I don't have those big basooms either, not fitting in the manufacturers ideal sizes.

My breasts aren't a perfect C nor are they a perfect B cup. I hate wearing cupped bras because of that... if I can find 44C's they are too big. And it really is hard to deal with all that extra fabric. Irritating. I have been buying sprot bras these last few years, because you can get them in 44 and with a combination of cup sizes, which was cool when I first started buying them but as they aged the elasticity loses it's supporting aspects and whenever I would reach up, out would slide my right breast. That hurtsand chaffs. So I just started throwing those damn things out the last two weeks. I just need to buy new bras.

Thank you for replying and telling your story. You are the only woman now, there is me, too.

Batch your biggest problem is fit and size. Go to Victoria Secret where they will properly measure you for a bra. They will then pick out a few styles for you to try on and see how they fit. You dont' have to buy anything there but try the different styles and see what works for you. Then you can always go somewhere else and purchase them. I did it and it has saved me a fortune in bra's that uses to be thrown out often. I also took a friend there when she came and visited this summer.

It is estimated that over 75% of the women in America are wearing the wrong size bra. Get fitted, it's free.

I thought that Victoria's Secret was just for skinny women...
and the staff will measure you even if you a larger woman?

Just a tibit of useful information... Lane Bryant and Victoria's Secret are all sister companies to Limited. And they should not discriminate about your size at all. Most of thier bra's come in a variety of sizes. So they should be able to help you out as well.

:rose: wish the best in your search!

Ugh, I hate the bras at Lane Bryant. Sure they are pretty but they offer no support. For a plus sized store you think they would do a better job of this.

The Lane Bryant Catalogue however (owned by a different co.) carries bras made by Goddess. These fit much better (for me at least).

I live a good hour and a half away from the stores like these. Living out in the desert has some disadvantages.
