Stay safe

and no worries, I'm easy to find and helping out there is much more important. It takes a special kind of person to be willing to take those risk. I'm proud of you.

Dawn

PS: Anyone ever notice that we are often times eager to tell others that we love them but we forget to say we are proud of them? I realized this when my dad retired, not a day passed that I didn't tell him I loved him but I could not remember when I told him how proud I was of him. Now with Noah I always try and remember that for each of the new things he accomplishes in his life I tell him that not only do I love him but that mommy is so proud of him too. Oh the smile on that little face.

couldn't resist

An elderly woman goes to the doctor and asks his help to revive her husband's sex drive.

"What about trying Viagra?" asks the doctor. "Not a chance," says Mrs.. Murphy. "He won't even take an aspirin for a headache."

"No problem," replies the doctor. "Drop it into his coffee, he won't even taste it. Try it and come back in a week to let me know how you got on."

A week later Mrs.. Murphy returns to the doctor and he inquires as to how things went.

"Oh it was terrible, just terrible doctor."

"What happened?" asks the doctor.

"Well I did as you advised and slipped it in his coffee. The effect was immediate. He jumped straight up, swept the cutlery off the table, at the same time ripping my clothes off and then proceeded to make passionate love to me on the tabletop. It was terrible."

"What was terrible?" said the doctor, "was the sex not good?"

"Oh no doctor, the sex was the best I've had in 25 years,
but I'll never be able to show my face in McDonald's again."

  :eek

Magister.... Sir, your are a gentleman. Dawn your grace is commendable. I apologize for any part I may have played. You both have earned my respect.

Roughneck thanks again for your humor! I didn't realize it was missing from here until you brought it. You are a very welcome addition!

discovery

Hello to all the fellow carolinians,

have just recently relocated here(the RDU area) and als rcently discovered this site. I must admit I really enjoy the stories. ventured out to a couple ofthe different ares and found this thread and was pleased to see I was not alone here. I am 34 swm and having been married for over 9 years and immediatly into another 5 year relationship my sexualexperience has been somewhat limted up util this point. Mind you I didn't say borin just somewhat limited. In thepast few months I have began to discover new and interesting things and found I am way more open minded than i ever thought. I am intrested in meeting new and exciting peole for chat, e-mail exchange, and whatever else may come of it. I am 6'2" 190#s brown har and trim beard, fairly athletic and at least I am told above avg. I look forward to checking this thread again and agan and hopefully developing some new friendships. I have noticed in reading the majority of this thread that you seem like very nice and would consider it an honor to be a part of this group. By the way for anyone that is interesed I do have pics to share. I left my e-mail hidden but for my fellow carolinians i'll tell you that you can contact me at cableman67@hotmail.com. Here's to new friends:heart:

welcome stunner and we do have some really great people here both on Lit and in this thread. please jump right in and join the chats if anything interests you.

Hmmm... kinky & McDonald's... could work! Those burger flippin' spatulas could be pretty good paddlin' material, y'know?

I'd have to pass on their dipping sauce for my McNuggets, though... geri is in charge of providing that.

Speaking of whom... yes, dear, you can be my little china girl. *smiles* The 80s aren't dead! David Bowie yet lives!

Welcome aboard, Stunner! Glad to see a new face, even newer than geri and I. :) And a personal welcome to my own home area, RDU! I've lived in and around the area most of my life, and I really do think it is a terrific place. (Just don't get sucked into Cary... The Containment Area for Relocated Yankees is just a wee bit too Stepford for any rational being!)

Des, you am de bestest! *big ol' hugs!*

PZ, don't encourage Roughneck, dammit! My poor abdomen can't take much more laughter like his jokes are inducing!

And sweet lady dawn... *hugs*

Hi Stunner

Welcome to our little corner of Lit. I hope to see you here often.

Magister... good lord... singing old Bowie songs. I just had a flashback.....
Geri, I'm glad to see you hanging out with us!

I'm missing some of our old friends though... wonder if we'll see SB, PL, or LTR any time soon. I hope so.

Roughneck, I hope you got the fire put out safely. I spent a few years associated with the fire service and I know how dangerous some of the calls can be.

Dawn, babe... we'll be talking later.

PZ.... can we use the dipping sauce at McDonalds on YOUR Mcnuggets? (Don't blame me..... Magister is the one who mentioned it.) :p :p :p

I think I better scamper off to safety now or I'll have 2 riled up Doms after me! * WEG*

REAL WOMEN VS. MARTHA STEWART

Martha's way #1:
Stuff a miniature marshmallow in the bottom of a sugar cone to prevent Ice cream drips.

The Real Women's Way:
Just suck the ice cream out of the bottom of the cone, for Pete's sake, you are probably lying on the couch, with your feet up, eating it anyway.

Martha's way #2:
To keep potatoes from budding, place an apple in the bag with the potatoes.

The Real Women's Way:
Buy Hungry Jack mashed potato mix and keep it in the pantry for up to a year.

Martha's way #3:
When a cake recipe calls for flouring the baking pan, use a bit of the dry cake mix instead and there won't be any white mess on the outside of the cake.

The Real Women's Way:
Go to the bakery. They'll even decorate it for you.

Martha's way #4:
If you accidentally over salt a dish while it's still cooking, drop in a
peeled potato and it will absorb the excess salt for an instant "fix me up."

The Real Women's Way:
If you over salt a dish while you are cooking, that's too bad. Please recite with me, The Real Women's motto: I made it and you will eat it and I don't care how bad it tastes.

Martha's way #5:
Wrap celery in aluminum foil when putting in the refrigerator and it will keep for weeks.

The Real Women's Way:
Celery? Never heard of the stuff.

Martha's way #6:
Brush some beaten egg white over pie crust before baking to yield a beautiful glossy finish.

The Real Women's Way:
The Mrs. Smith frozen pie directions do not include brushing egg
Whites over the crust so I just don't do it.

Martha's way #7:
Cure for headaches: Take a lime, cut it in half and rub it on your
forehead. The throbbing will go away.

The Real Women's Way:
Martha, dear, the only reason this works is because you can't rub a Lime on your forehead without getting lime juice in your eye, and then the problem isn't the headache anymore, YOU'RE NOW BLIND!

Martha's way #9:
If you have a problem opening jars: Try using latex dishwashing gloves. They give a non slip grip that makes opening jars easy.

The Real Women's Way:
Go ask the very cute neighbor to do it.

And finally the most important tip for the holiday season......

Martha's way #10:
Don't throw out all that leftover wine.
Freeze into ice cubes for future use in casseroles and sauces.

The Real Women's Way:
Leftover wine??????

Confession time:

When I bake pies, I really do follow advice #6, with the beaten egg whites... Hey, it works! That or milk...

Now I don't have to feel so alone in this big place because I do it to but then I absolutely adore cooking.

Dawn

Granted, it is my slave's place to handle the cooking, but I do love to play chef at times, so I'll never stay out of the kitchen for long.

Btw, this is my 99th post!

Stunner!!!!!!!

I think that's a very good screen name for you! I'm sure you will find some female companionship if that is what you seek. And I know you will find friendship among the good people in the Carolinas.

Congratulations Master!

Congratulations on your 100th post and thank You for making that milestone on my thread! *big grins*

and here is to many more posts in the future!

Congrats Magister!

Somebody made 100 posts and earned an avatar. Very cool image!

Im Back

Hey ya all, just got back in, an damn if I couldn't go for a beer, heck I'll settle for a case. Sometimes I hate being a Volunteer Fire Fighter, when I see hiw much time it can take up. I guess it wouldnt be so bad if I didn't work a full time job that already takes up 70+ hours a week. Did I mention it kills my social life.. . . . wait a sec, I dont have a social life, LOL

Roughneck... if it helps any, I remember all too well.... ugh... 3am in the sleet, directing traffic and giving oxygen etc while the guys fought the fire. (My husband was the fireman, I was in the rescue squad so I went and did whatever I could to help.)
But, what you do is a wonderful service. And you do make a difference every time you go on a call. So, go enjoy a cold one. You deserve it!:rose:

I hear ya Des, and agree with ya. I get a great pride in doing it, and love the rush I get as well. Guess its just a feeling of loss. What I mean is, today was my day off, didn't have to go into work tonight but instead of going out, I spend it at the station. It just seems at times that all I do is work, come home, then go back to work. I guess I need a bit of a spark in my day in-day out life.

Well I am from the Carolinas. Was wondering if I would find a Carolina one.

Hi Ravenstorm

We're glad you found us. I hope you'll enjoy Lit and hang out with us often!

Good morning my friends. Have a wonderful day.

Good Morning one and all....

I hope everyone has a glorious day full of happy moments, sudden bursts of laughter and quiet smiles.

Morning Humor

Shit may just be the most powerful word in the English language..

CONSIDER THIS:

You can be shit faced, be shit out of luck, or have shit for brains..

With a little effort you can get your shit together, find a place for your shit or decide to shit or get off the pot..

You can smoke shit, buy shit, sell shit, lose shit, find shit, forget shit, and tell others to eat shit and die..

You can shit or go blind, have a shit fit or just shit your life away..

People can be shit headed, shit brained, shit blinded, and shit over..

Some people know their shit while others can't tell the difference between shit and shineola..

There are lucky shits, dumb shits, crazy shits, and sweet shits..

There is bull shit, and horse shit and chicken shit..

You can throw shit, sling shit, catch shit, or duck when the shit hits the fan..

You can take a shit, give a shit, or serve shit on a shingle..

You can find yourself in deep shit, or be happier than a pig in shit..

Some days are colder than shit, some days are hotter than shit, and some days are just plain shitty..

Some music sounds like shit, things can look like shit, and there are times when you feel like shit..

You can have too much shit, not enough shit, the right shit, the wrong shit or a lot of weird shit..

You can carry shit, have a mountain of shit, or find yourself up shit creek without a paddle..

Sometimes everything you touch turns to shit and other times you swim in a lake of shit and come out smelling like a rose..

Shit! When you stop to consider all the facts, it's the basic building block of creation..

And remember, once you know your shit, you don't need to know anything else..

Shit happens, don't step in it...
