Hello again!

Hi guys! I just got back from slipping across the state line and getting my lottery tickets for this week. No I am not an addicted gambler. I spend each week about the same as someone would for a "super size meal" at a fast food joint. I also get the tickets for my office's pool tickets. In addition to just the daydream of winning a huge jackpot, the daydreaming about what to do with the money is pure escapeism that I love. Yes if I ever hit it "big" I have plans for family, friends, trust funds, scholarships, charities, etc. But as I was driving back home I began to have trouble with my daydreaming. I mean in the past the scope of my daydreams involved what I would do with a million or so, possibly up to the forty or fifty million range. But now with the lottery jackpot up to 300 million (clear abot 100 million after lump sum payout and taxes) I was at a loss. I mean how do you spend a 100 million dollars? Spending up to fifty million is a fantasy daydream, and in theory possible. But a 100 million seems so unreal. Yes, I know it is a problem that the odds say I will *never* have. And yes, I do know that I could give each of you some! (lol) I guess the real thing I am wondering about is, is my imagination that limited? I mean am I so provincial that I can't dream on that gran a scale?

I just wonder if anyone else has thought abot this?
 
PZ i'm going to get mine tomorrow. And if i win the jackpot i promise to get all us regulars a room heck rent the floor of a nice hotel for a celebration bash :). Hope all luck and happiness tonight. I could study at a thousand universities and never learn as much as your smile taught me.

PZ, Des assured me your imagination was in GREAT shape,...you would figure out a way to make a lot of people happy. I got my fingers crossed for ya,...and I bet Des has got her legs UNCROSSED for ya,...GOOD LUCK GUY,...I truly hope ya WIN !;)

For spradlin: The "car wash thingy" is a toy first brought up by Desdemona. It would seem that several of her friends here (geri, Dawn, lovetoread) have some knowledge of the purpose and use of this thing. I had *never* seen such a thing before and thought it was a photo of the circular brushes used in an automatic carwash. I don't know what the attraction is to having your car washed/brushed with this thing. But several of the ladies here think it is the only way to go. I am attaching the original photo Des posted.

Hi everybody.... yep, I'm back from one of my favorite places on earth. I'm glad to see all the new folks as well as our old friends posting here in our twisted little corner of Lit. The only problem with going away is Lit withdrawal. Its a killer. :eek:

Just kidding, but seriously ya'll if you ever happen to be in Atlanta, you gotta go to Bass Pro Shops (follow 85 N up out of Atlanta, take the exit for 120 and it will be on your left). That place is so cool.

I have my little angel back here in my arms where he belongs and where his mommy can have some peace, of course the same cannot be said for the dog. Immediately after getting home he and the dog were wrestling on the floor, the dog grabbed him by the sock so Noah turned around and bit the dog on the leg. This is the dog who had just recently gotten out of the pond and earlier was digging in the flower beds which are fertilized with horse manure, not that it seemed to bother Noah a bit.

Now ya'll know what keeps me sane. That little angel making me laugh.

A Monday Howdy!!!

Good morning to all! Isn't this a wonderful day? The sun is shinning! The temperature is great! It is a Monday, first day of the work week! And it is Federal and State Tax Day! It just doesn't get any better than this!!! Damn I love Mondays! To have it be April 15th is just a bonus! Wahoooo!

Des and Dawn I am glad you guys are home and posting! It is hard on an ol' man when he has to go to page two or three to find his favorite thread.
