Comments that leave you shaking your head

I think sex positivity is a generational thing. Why should women be ashamed of having sex for fun? I can think of no good reason. And the double standard with guys is kinda 🤢
I think there are more people with this take, but there were in my early years, too. I don't think either time it became the norm. It was driven back after my youth and seems to be on the retreat again, unfortunately. This is a topic that comes out a lot in that novel (coming soon for Pink Orchid). I hope you like it. I think it's the best thing I've written.

I think it's more misogynistic and patriarchal. I do believe most men would not be "happy" with a woman who has a (significantly) larger body count than they.

But I’m not saying there is no truth in your general claim. Many men are fragile creatures.
I agree that there is less assumption of male conquests = OK: female conquests = NOT OK; but we still use the loaded terms of Stud and Slut.
But some women are pleased to wear the Slut term with pride, and I applaud them for it!

However unless such a woman is partial to condoms she may be loaded with germs not pleasant to have.
Going back a bit, but in response to a similar comment on one of my first stories, I now have a disclaimer on some of them that "Issues such as STDs and family planning are considered outside of the narrative." But I seem to have stopped doing that!

I did a story about an escort and because this is fantasy she barebacked every client she was with.

I was waiting for the STD/unsafe/ who would fuck a whore without protection comments but didn't get one.

A pleasant let down, I guess.

Then again it was in EC that has less of an audience than other categories.

It may be fashionable for a woman to go through life screwing any man who smiles at her. So many Liberotica authors are fascinated by this type of female character.
While it’s probably a typo, now I’m wondering whether somewhere on the internet there is Conservotica, full of salacious stories about all the various ways you can do it under the covers, with lights off, strictly missionary, and of course only between a husband and a wife.

Bizarrely, in my story, the FMC uses condoms with anyone she has not swapped test results with. And one of the MCs gets tests done and shares the results before engaging in bareback. Then maybe the ‘germs’ the commenter was so worried about were gut bacteria, which is just a case of thorough cleaning. Or maybe they are magic ‘wrath of God’ germs sent to punish unclean women.

This was a comment that I received on one of my BDSM themed erotic prose. The person did not go the anonymous route. It doesn't make me shake my head, I feel it was a polite respectful comment.

" With all due respect...
I DON'T LIKE THIS AT ALL!! "
I read this work of yours and his comment. He's an idiot.

Sex positivity is generational? Not hardly. You aren't the first American generation that was open to its sexuality. If you'd like to educate yourself and read up on the late 60's you'll find that the young generation then (who are the "boomers" now) were very sex positive, IE; The summer of Love. It's true that some of them over time have turned into wrinkled-up prudes, but many haven't and still retain that open mindset.

Additionally, you might want to readup on the 1920's.

It's entertaining to me when I encounter this, "My generation has done **** and none of the preceding ones have!"

From experience I know that youth has energy, stamina and believe they know more than every other generation or think they have discovered things that are cyclical in nature, claimed by each generation back to the stoneage. The thing the young lack is hindsight and "been there, done that" experience.

Wow! I wonder what they would have said without due respect!

While there are very many lovely older men here, I find most BS comments are also from older men and have what they seem to view as a moralistic undertone. The desire to regulate women seems strong in this cohort. Youth are always accused of ignorance, and of course the old always think they know best.

Sorry, didn't see this right away.

Here as in the AH. There's some creepers here.
Yeah, I've see some creepers specifically posting in the AH too. There's creepy people everywhere.

But to clarify, the only reason I mention source of the messages is in stopping them.

When I first joined, I was getting at least one message every time I logged in. Usually it was 2-3. And they were full on creepy/abusive messages. This was before I ever posted a story or posted on the forums. The place they were finding me was the online user lists.

Since I changed that setting, the only messages I've received have been from people who've actually interacted with me, meaning either through reading me stories on the story side, or though my posting here on the forum side, and AH is mainly where I post. So yeah, any creepers who find me on the forum side have probably found me through the AH. But, I just don't get that many. And those that do are usually more creepy due to being a bit socially inept rather than the full on abusive-creepy messages I was getting.

To give an indication of the scale of change, I turned off the "show online" function after I'd been here for five days, which was in April 2023. I received more creepy messages in those five days than I have in the years since I turned it off.

Of course, if I'd given my name here some thought, I could have chosen a gender-neutral name which could have avoided the issues in the first place. But, I didn't really think about it at the time.

Unfortunately I have never met one. But then maybe my smile is not the right kind of smile.

@chasbo38 - thank you for taking the time to post a considered comment in which you lay out your worldview. I will pay you the compliment of reciprocating.

First up, what are you doing on a sex site? You seem to have a weird, 1950s, pseudo-moralistic, and frankly misogynistic outlook. I note that - as is common with people who think like you - you fail to mention any of the men involved getting ‘germs.’ You disapproval is reserved for the female protagonist, the guys get a pass, because of… well there doesn’t seem to be a reason.

As for the story, it’s fabricated, with some real elements. But I’ve fornicated with multiple men (and fewer women). Know how many ‘germs’ I have got as a result? Zero. Know how many regrets I have? Same number. And the quantum of fucks I give about disapproval of my behavior is… well you get the picture.

You have felt entitled to offer your opinion publicly, so I assume you have no problem with me doing the same. My opinion is you masturbated to this story and then felt bad about doing so. You then projected your own repressed guilt onto the author. I suggest you find a new hobby.

Why did that comment bother you?

That reflex kills me. Can't you just trust an author? Rate it after, like / dislike, whatever. But telling them what to write is aggravating. "I didn't like..." is very different than "You need to..."
I have left some “You need to…” comments, but they are usually followed by words like “re-read your story before submitting”, “use a grammar checker”, or “understand the audience you’re writing for.”

I got one from my old buddy Anon.

"That's it ?? No ending,no ass plundering, no pregnancy, NOT EVEN PUPPIES ??? WTF !?!?!?"

Apparently, I didn't wrap the story up the way they wanted it to be. Damn, I hate when I do that.

Please! No story w/o butt sex!!!!

He's an idiot because ... he didn't like it?
No explanation no reason, doesn't seem like a rational criticism. It's a well written work, objectively speaking. Hate something all you want I guess, but to just say you hate it without objective reason and leave it like that seems unreasonable. From, no less if I remember correctly, a retired teacher.

No explanation just makes it weak criticism. Certainly, there's not much there to help you, but he is allowed to not like something and he doesn't need a reason to not like it. Furthermore, he may very well have a reason but just did not elaborate. That makes his criticism weak (in this case very) but it says nothing about him or his tastes or his knowledge. All it says about him is his manners which have nothing to do with his opinions themselves.

So what is the reaction?

He's an idiot.

The reaction is to attack the critic rather than the criticism. Why would you do that? The criticism is what's weak here. His criticism is ripe for countering while the critic himself is unknown. You attack the critic and leave the criticism untouched. That's rather foolish. Why would you do this? Only one reason. Butthurt over a negative and rude comment. The comment really says nothing about the story so why would it upset you? (don't say that it doesn't, obviously it does - you resorted to name calling over it). The reason that it upsets you is that your ego is hurt because somebody doesn't like your work (he said nothing about you, only the work) and you take it as a personal front.

It's all on you, not on him.

I'm pretty sure Statius was referring to a comment left on SmilingLez's story, not on their own story, and was being supportive of another writer, not defensive of their own ego...

It seems like you're trying to pick a fight with people in here for no obvious reason 😬

actually, I received a doozy tonight on one of my first stories 😱

Asian people are diminutive people, as you pointed out. Penny is 6'2" tall, as you described her to be. I'm at a loss to mentally picture Penny, with her cock STILL IMBEDDED in Marci's pussy, bending over and sucking Marci's nipple. You thanked someone for proof reading your story. That person really needs to do some research regarding Asian people (Asia is a vast area with people from Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, India, parts of Russia, China, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Viet Nam, and the Philippines, plus Armenia, Azerbaijan., Bahrain, Bhutan, Brunei, Burma, Cambodia, Cyprus, Georgia, Israel, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Macau, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Oman, Qatar, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Syria, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan , United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, and Yemen.. When a person mentions an Asian person, they usually think of small people. But Asians range from very short (4'10"). To tall (5'10"'+). Even a person who is 6'2" cannot reach the nipple of another person of the same height without extracting his cock from her pussy in order to suck her nipple. There are people like me who form mental pictures while following a story and something like this causes a fracture in the story.
To be entirely fair, they're not wrong that the physical logistics of the moment are probably off, I cringe a bit when I look at those early Penny stories...

But I'm not sure how much that has to do with the average height of the population of 48 different countries 🤣
