Comments That Make Your Day

When someone whose work I admire @THBGato posts something like this, well, my heart skipped a beat and my smile was immense.

"It's amazing how you have managed to write something both sad and sexy at exactly the same time. I don't mean that there are sexy moments, then sad moments, but rather they are one and the same. The tragedy of their 10 year plus separation permeates every interaction. As such, the metaphor of the bubbling hot tub, an oasis of passion, surrounded by a frozen landscape is so perfectly apt. Bravo." Posted on my story 'Amber's Crystalline Touch'.

I've had many emotional reactions to my story "Aftermath, or 'I Can't Go for That"". But here are two extremely opposite takes on the MC:

The MC was an uptight prig, without sufficient love to break down his prejudices. If [he] loved her enough to push beyond his rigidity, he could’ve provided what she needed. An unusual story, 4 stars.

Very sad almost depressing - really feel for the bloke. Ex is living her best slut life getting gang banged while her cuck adores her. He has been left unable to get intimate with a woman and permanently damaged emotionally. As for the kids, they have enabled this farce and destroyed their father. Well written tho.

I think this demonstrates the two camps in the Loving Wives audience. One sees the potential of sharing as a solution to their problems, while the other remains rigid in their belief the wife should just get over it, now blaming her for the husband's issues.
The first recognizes that the wife had no choice, but the husband did. While the second fails to sees the "permanent damage" to the wife and blames her for the husbands "permanent damage" to himself.

With all of the reactions in over 52 comments (several private messages), I've focused on re-writing it as "Aftermath - Loving Him Too Much" (17k words to publish soon) to refocus on both her and him as a couple. It's the same story but reorganized and refocused with more of her side.

BTW, the name of the story IS Hidden Boss, but my links say Undercover Boss. Mea culpa.

I made a mistake and now with Lit not allowing the kind of links I have on my profile...if I try to fix it I lose everthing.

I wondered how some people had longer signatures. I think we're limited to four lines now.
I've had a couple of emails asking about it. I think the last time I was able to update was 2022, before they changed the system.
Some of the profiles were getting out of control so I understand WHY they changed but I like being able to advertise stories in a prominent fashion.

Regarding the story itself:

I see it is the one story tagged "extortionist medical prices". Hello fellow American, you write of topics relevant to my interests!

https://tags.literotica.com/extortionist medical prices/
I'm Canadian.
<rant on>But the extortionist medical practices in America piss me off something fierce. Since birth, I've never had to worry about being sick. Our system takes care of us. And believe it or not, the taxes we pay for it are less than the medical costs the Americans pay. The vast majority of civilized countries do the same. America is the only outlier that bankrupts people and has WORSE medical outcomes than the other socialized medical programs in other countries.
You might have superior equipment but who can afford it.
You work all your lives only to be stripped of your savings and house when you're sick, which tends to come once you're older. Medical treatment has become a growth industry for greedy corporations and doctors who are only in it for the $$$$.<rant off>

Here's a true example I used in the story. There are far worse ones, like the woman who got charged $130,000 for a needle biopsy on her breast.

These doctors, hospitals and the big corporations that owned them nowadays were little better than criminal organizations counting on people's ignorance. Taking people's houses and life savings had become a growth industry for them. All so they could work less and play golf more. The good old country doctor working long hours because they wanted to take care of the sick and injured had disappeared under an assault from Corporate America. And greed. Plain old greed! It made me sick!

There was a recent [TRUE] case in the news where a toddler had shoved a Barbie doll shoe up her nose. Her parents took her to their doctor, who sent them to Emergency. In Emergency, the doctor, equipped with a slightly longer pair of forceps, had the shoe out in one second. The hospital admitted the cost of the whole procedure was $48. Yet billed the parent close to $2,000, and the doctor billed just under $1,000 for his role. $3,000 for a one-second procedure that most doctors would have laughed at and done for free in the past.

Back to our regular programming!

Some nice comments on my recent 2 parter "Worship"

just wanna thank you as a transfem person. this is so extremely hot and not bogged down with fetishism and latent transphobia. you’re a great writer <3 wish there were more stories like this one on this site !
From Anonymous on my story 'Connecting with Carly'. Can't ask for more praise than this!

From Polly ch 3 in LW... I'm not sure what housebshdvbig is, but it sounds serious and apparently it merited a deduct. Honestly, I'm not sure what any of this is. Anyone speak the language? Can we 1* commenters for their grammar?

"Nah, that’s nah. She’s twisted avid psychotic and no one has ever noticed??They've got kids so even if she’s caught out she still end. Court will give her the kids, housebshdvbig cut of his money. Whatever happens he loses, so although I’m following to the end I’ll mark it has a cheater wind story and deduct cause someone has mentally disturbed has this woman has walked through life with no one realising"

I think this might be someone making a lot of typos. I'll put my best guess in brackets:
"Nah, that’s nah. She’s twisted avid [and] psychotic and no one has ever noticed??They've got kids so even if she’s caught out she still end. Court will give her the kids, housebshdvbig [house and a big] cut of his money. Whatever happens he loses, so although I’m following to the end I’ll mark it has [as] a cheater wind [wife] story and [i have no idea from here on out] deduct cause someone has mentally disturbed has this woman has walked through life with no one realising"

Court will give her the kids, housebshdvbig cut of his money. Whatever happens he loses, so although I’m following to the end I’ll mark it has a cheater wind story and deduct cause someone has mentally disturbed has this woman has walked through life with no one realising"

Translation:

Court will give her the kids, house, and a big cut of his money. Whatever happens he loses, so although I'm following to the end I'll mark it as a cheater wins story and deduct [stars] cause someone as mentally disturbed as this woman has walked through life with no one realizing.

TL;DR: Wanted BTB, did not get BTB.

...and deducted stars due to not getting the required ending... should have waited....

So I spent several months on my latest story, "Between Angels And Demons."

I knew even while writing it that it isn't going to draw a huge audience. It's part 3 of a supernatural fantasy tale, it's pretty long (for me, anyway, 7 pages) and not much sex.

Still, I've been hoping it finds an audience.

And in a way I suppose it has. The first rating shortly after it published early this morning was a One Bomb.

And then just a little while ago came my first comment.

Made my day? No, not really. More like confirmed my theory that this will be my least read story.

Pretty good praise, really. "great story, easy five stars, well done." I haven't read it, at least not yet, but it beats the "didn't read it, hate it" stuff.

Is that what it translated to? I tried Googling it and it came up nonsense, I thought it was spam.

Edit: okay so now I feel silly thinking it was just a spam bot or something.
