Ezmirylda

Smiling a little at Thor's boasts over the dwarven made card game, Ezmi helped out with building the camp. Once things had settled, and Thor and her watch started, she asked if he had a deck of Three Dragon. "I've never played mind you, so if you could explain the rules?"

OOC: Hey DoS, is there any relevant skill to role reguarding their game of cards? I actually have a deck of 3 dragon too. LOL!

Thor and Ezmi manage to enlarge the tent in a quite satisfactory fashion. The whole shelter of leaves and branches sheds the rain quite well, ensuring dry bedding for the whole party.

Thor and Ezmi's shift passes relatively uneventfully, save for the card game and conversation.

OOC: Well, if it's anything like poker, I'd say some blind luck to determine hands and then opposed Bluff and Sense Motive checks for each player to represent their own hand as desired. Maybe toss in sleight of hand if anyone tries to cheat.

Ezmirylda

Ezmi had seen enough gambling in her life to know about tells and though she was just learning the game, she made her best effort to hide her own while looking for Thors. His beard distracted her for a few hands before she collected herself and began to concentrate more on the game, intent on, if not beating him, then giving him a good run for his money.

Bluff Roll(1d20)+2: 14+2: 16
Sense Motive Roll(1d20)+1: 2+1: 3 *Damn beard, its always the beard*
Concentration Roll(1d20)+1: 10+1: 11

After Thor gives Ezmi a breif run through on the rules they quickly start a game. Dealing out the cards the two players then take a few minutes to look them over.
Thor a decent bluffer by nature does his best to hide his actions as he cheats several times. In his attempt to cover it up he studys her actions and gathers what he can trying to figure out if she herself is bluffing.

Bluff:1d20(15)-1= 14
Sense motion: 1d20(11)+0= 11

Spot: 1d20(10)+0= 10
Sleight of hand:1d20(17)+3= 20
concentration: 1d20(15)+5= 20

Ezmirylda

Ezmirylda played a few hands without a word, she saw how the dwarf was hard to read, so she watched the way he shuffled and delt the cards. Though she couldn't quite see if he was doing anything funny, she had her suspitions.

Spot Roll(1d20)+1:1 8+1: 19

So, for the next several hands she doesn't concern herself so much with concealing her tells as she does focusing closely on Thor's play.

Bluff Roll(1d20)+2: 4+2: 6
Concentration Roll(1d20)+1: 5+1: 6
Sense Motive Roll(1d20)+1: 15+1: 16
Spot Roll(1d20)+1: 20+1: 21

Thor noticeing how intently Ezmi was looking at him quickly shifted his gaze. He changes his stratagy yet again going more for bluffing rather then cheating. His eyes set dead his body remaines motionless as yet another hand is dealt.

Bluff:1d20(18)-1= 17
Sense motion: 1d20(13)+0= 13
Gather Infomation: 1d20(12)-1= 11
Sense motive:1d20(14)+0= 14
Spot: 1d20(15)+0= 15
Sleight of hand:1d20(2)+3= 5
concentration: 1d20(19)+5= 24

Like my avatar??

OOC: Is that an intellect devourer, a grell, or an ilithid's lunch? Either way... Eeeew!

OOC: Not sure if you folks want any sort of ruling from me on this card game or if you prefer to sort it out for yourselves. Either way is fine. As for the new avatar, I have to side with Raven. That picture seriously squicks me out.

OCC: I love my new avatar :) You guys dont? Its up to raven about the card game I dont mind either way. Though I would like to move the game along...if the others post that is.

OOC: Drec is in a heavy sleep. As for your avatar I'll put it this way, of all the sciences I like biology the least.

OOC: Well, with Ezmi's spot roll, she would have caught Thor cheating. If so, she would concede the game with a knowing smirk. Im all for moving the thread on as well. And the new av is better. :)

The card game ended, it's time for Drec and Leanna to rise for their shift. Spot and Listen checks, please.

OOC: Gorgeous, Brains. I like it.

Drec

OOC: Sorry for the delay misplaced my character sheet for a bit. Fortunetly I had the online one still.

IC: I poked the young girl in the arm. "Miss, it is our shift." I said good night to the last watch and did what I could to keep our fire from smoldering out. My sense seemed well tuned this night. (Spot 22 (Natural 20), listen 20 (Natural 18).)

(Feel free to scroll back the time and RP if I've jumped the gun on this)

Drec and Leanna's shift passes uneventfully, as does the rest of the night. The rain stops during the night and the group awakens to the faint beams of morning sunlight filtering through the dripping foliage. A myriad of small birds are chirping and singing in the branches overhead, greeting the day. The entire area is filled with the lush scent of damp greenery. Faint wisps of steam rise from the trail as the day begins to warm up and the puddles start to disappear.

Leanna yawns and awakens, watching the night pass uneventfully.

After the sun rises, she goes to wake the others so they can resume their journey.

Adjusting her cloak, Leanna asks in general, "How long do you think it will be before we reach our destination?"

She hopes they arrive before the end of the day.

Awakening from a groggy sleep Thor emerges from the make shift wooden shelter. Stretching his arms skyward he lets out a yawn and his eyes slowly come open. Grabbing his axes he heads into the woods to attempt to get something to fill his belly. Gathering any thing from berries to killing small animals he hopes to get enough food for the entire group. After his attempt Thor gathers more wood and starts building a fire to cook his cacth.

(Dont know what to roll so i'll just roll a whole bunch of things.)

(Got some really good ass rolls!!)

Drec

IC: I sat down quietly eating my jerky. I had been thinking about my past, the damp mourning air had put wyverns on my brain, but not just that memories of my family and questions about the strange tatoo I always had. With what remains of my famly far north, and the scattering of my village I might have a few questions go unanswered my entire life.

Ezmirylda

Ezmi went over and sat next to Drec. "Hey Drec, you look like you're thinking about something. Whats up?"

Drec:

IC: "Your a smart girl." I took a drink from my water skin and set down my jerky. "You've ever had a lot to drink at a bar one night and wake the next mourning not knowing what you did the night before. I have found myself in one of those situations."

Ezmirylda

Ezmi eyed Drec with curious suspition for a moment as he posed his question. "Drec, we havn't been by a tavern for the past two nights... Unless you're talking slightly metaphorically, about the other morning..." Ezmi leaned over and whispered. "I don't think anything happened, you know, and I'm sorry I freaked out on you like I did."

Drec

IC: "Uh..." Did I ever find out why she freaked out? My memory seems fuzzy on the details, maybe becaue it happened so fast. "So, how do the boots fit?"

Ezmirylda

"Tightly Drec, they're very tight, but it feels good, comforting, secure, you know? How about yours?" Ezmi stated without a hint of guile as she proceeded to turn the question back to Drec, himself, allowing him to avoid the situation reguarding the night before and her freak out.

Drec

IC: "I've broken these boots in over my travels, so they are flexible but they give good suport to my ankles still. I imagine it is a very difrent sort of feel."

Ezmirylda

"So... You like flexible... Boots do you Drec? You know, being a dancer, like I am, my boots are always flexible..." Ezmi responded, wondering if the big oaf would pick up on her subtlety.
