Ezmirylda

With a sigh of annoyed exasperation Ezmi let the subject drop, perking her ears to take in the sounds around her. She turned her focus outward, taking in the sights as well. She began to watch for natural hazards that might slow them down, or harm them. Finally, she turned an eye to the sky, testing the air with a finger, guaging the weather.

Drec:

IC: I mached quietly reflecting on the past. I was much to distracted to pay attention to my suroundings.

OOC: Busy RL

Hi folks, sorry about this, but I've just had some projects pop up unexpectedly, so I'm going to be hyper-busy this coming week and I might not be able to post for a while. I thought I'd better let you know so that no-one worries that I've been eaten by giant mutant space-hamsters.

I'll be back as soon as I can.

Don't worry DOS, Boo would never eat you, he only eats virgins... In pools... I have him well trained!

OOC: WOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I found my d20 dice set!!! *taps foot impatiently for a chance to use them*

OOC: My DnD group disbanded after I was given a bag of dice.

OOC: I'm back! (You'll have your chance to roll your dice Brains. Be careful what you wish for, d20s are used for saving throws too. *maniacal evil DM laughter, followed by undignified coughing*)

IC: The terrain continues to become rockier and more hilly as you proceed. The trees, while still present, begin to thin out a bit in the face less yielding soil. The sun begins to sink behind the distant mountains and you can see faint plumes of smoke punctuated against the brilliant background. The village is near.

Drec

IC: "Hmm..." I looked at the smoke off in the distance. "Hey maybe will make it to town today."

Ezmirylda

"And what a relief it will be to be back in a town again. I may be Gypsy, but that doesn't mean I am all that fond of travel..."

Thor seeing the village near lights up with a huge grin, it ripples across his face as his eyes set upon the riseing smoke.

"Aye its been too long since I have seen the unfilted light of day."

He looks to each member of the group in turn before falling yet again into step behind them. Looking around makeing sure no one was spying on the group thor also listens intently for any noises nearby. Finished with his inspection of the nearby area he looks off towards the approaching village hopeing to see something in the distance.

Spot(Nearby):1d20(15)+0=15
Spot(Distance):1d20(14)+0=14

(Nice first roll with my die was a natural 20!! Woo!!)

Thor hears nothing around him but the usual forest sounds and he sees nothing unusual except for a rather pretty scarlet bird in a nearby tree. The trees prevent him from seeing anything very far away, but he sees something not too far away along the trail that looks like a signpost.

Drec:

IC: "So remind me how are we going to find our contact? I feel like its been two months... mmm 17 days and 16 hours... and 40 minutes sense we left that other town."

OOC: While I could insist that you go back and read the old posts yourself, that would be fairly pointless and a little mean. So: Your contact lives in a cave, not terribly far from the town. Ezmi knows the way, she's been there before.

Drec:

IC: There was to much silience in the party. "Shit why do I never write this stuff down? I mean they tought me to read and write, and yet I never use it. I might aswell be some sort of barbarian."

As you continue along the trail, the object which appeared to be a signpost reveals itself to be...a signpost. It has two arrows which read respectively:

Adaran 3

and

Darsenleth-Kyr 65

Ezmirylda

Ezmi leads the party on toward their goal, unless any of them care to stop anywhere beforehand.

ooc:

I am tempted to stop by that ungaurded well that gives you a level up each time we drink from it. But it'll be there on way back right?

OOC: Who told you about that well? Damn, that's 15 ambiguous hints, 7 visits to sages in foreign lands, 97 obscure sidequests for pieces of map or lore and a big blowout battle with the BBEG over ownership of the well all down the drain.

Will the gang (1) stop at the town or press on (Ezmi knows that it's about 2 hours past the town, along a steep trail into the mountains (not very dangerous terrainwise, just tiring)) in order to meet the contact tonight? If you picked (1), turn to page 17. Otherwise, continue reading on page 20. (I'll narrate accordingly)

OOC: Going along with the group sorry no roleplaying been really busy lately.

OOC: Right. Based on cats' reply, I'll assume no-one wants to stop in town (except L'Amruil, who leaves the group here) and have you proceed onwards, unless someone posts otherwise in the next 12 hours. Bumblebee?

Ooc:

Allow me to explain. You were giving us a choose your own adventure line, like from the books in the 80's. The first CYOA book I ever owned was a Transformers one, which you read from Bumblebee's perspective. They let you do stupid shit like try to stand up against Starscream or Megatron... It never went well... The only way to make it through to a decent ending was to have BB sneak around. As if no one would notice a bright yellow volkswagon beatle sneaking around...

OOC: Cool. I didn't know that.

IC: Most of the villagers seem to have gone inside for the night. A few of them stand and watch the group as they pass through the town. One small boy waves until his mother comes out to take him indoors. She gives you a worried smile. A small temple sits in the middle of the town. L'amruil notices this and says a brief farewell before moving inwards. As you leave the town behind, the path becomes rockier and a bit steeper as it winds its way slowly into the mountains.

Drec:

IC: I think I have a rocik in my boot. Hmm, how uncomfortable. I turned to the dwarf, is it wise to let him see our business? Perhaps we can detir him "Are you sure you wouldn't be more comfortable waiting in town for us?"
