I myself have always had trouble separating the physical pleasure from the emotional side of making love/having sex/fucking.

Its physical and incredibly personal... you just cant get any closer to someone on a physical level... sharing pleasures with them you dont with others... and touching parts and places on them you wouldnt with others easily.

I would like a fuck buddy, dont get me wrong, but at some point, I too would probably care too much for them.... and bugger it all up....

Yes, this is a problem we've seen discussed a lot, especially in the "lifestyle".

The emotional attachment that goes with being sexually involved with someone is a problem for some. Some are able to separate it and some are not. Those that are not sometimes run into sticky situations...especially if there are pre-existing relationship issues.

Neither of us can have that kind of anonymous sex. But, we find it easy to separate those relationships from our primary one. We care deeply about our partners, but are not possessive of those realtionships.

But, it is a set of different issues if you have no primary relationship to center on.

Like you said, you need to move Illinois closer to the east coast.

I think that if the ground rules are laid out and both parties understand what the situation is from the very beginning then it isn't going to be a problem.

I know that I can distinguish between love and lust. I think that another part of it all has to do with how secure a FB is within themselves. Someone who is needy or clinging is not a good choice for this type of relationship.
