Donald Trump loves the poorly educated

Yessss shoving the responsibility of education back to the states where it should be. :)

At the end of the day, there is only one tax payer, who levies the taxes is kind of irrelevant....

Education is a proven winner economical for countries, does it matter who levies the tax for it?

So does MSNBC, they love anyone who won't make an effort to fact check them or look into things on their own.

An entire viewership of unquestioning bobbleheads.

At the end of the day, there is only one tax payer, who levies the taxes is kind of irrelevant....

What?? Thats the most backwards statement I've read all day.

There are lots of tax payers and who levies the tax and controls the "education" is VERY relevant and extremely important.

Education is a proven winner economical for countries, does it matter who levies the tax for it?

Of course it does.

Would you want the USA levying taxes on you for "education" and telling you how to "educate" your kid ???

What about the state of Chinese Communist Party? Should they get to tax you too??

Do you want them deciding how you and your community is "educated"?

Hell let's get the EU taxing you and participating in controlling your schools too...why not right?? It's for education!!! :D

Newsflash: not all taxation, control and education is the same and being "for education" doesn't make all taxation and control good.

Considering the declining levels of education in red states, having the federal government take control of their education system may be the best thing.
The real question may be do you want red state republicans, who have learned they can dupe lesser educated people, control education in their states?

Somehow the military is exempt from taxation and spending limitations... we're doubled the military budget in the last 3 years... going from about $ 450 billion to over $ 800 billion... can everyone tell us what the additional monies were spent on? Over the last 75 years, the U.S. has spent more on its military than all other countries on earth COMBINED... are we safer?

Strange that we somehow turn a blind eye when it comes to gross overspending on the military but education spending... well, that should be limited and held to a minimum by each state.

A look around the blue states shows their "superior education" is a fucking joke.

And no, it wouldn't be the best thing.

Because it's their state to control, so says democracy, comrade Stalin.

Blues states should mind their own problems, like the fleeing middle class, major companies, jobs and booming homelessness instead of worrying about whether or not Red states are properly brainwashing their kids to accept the federal government as their lord and savior or not. ;)

So let's consider FACT CHECKING...

FACT CHECKER measured and confirmed that FOX is incorrect in their reporting 60% of the time
FACT CHECKER measured and confirmed that CNN is incorrect in their reporting 11% of the time
FACT CHECKER measured and confirmed that MSNBC is incorrect in their reporting 44% of the time

So who do you watch or listen to?

According to U.S. News and World Report... the bottom 15 states providing the worst K-12 education in rank order from the bottom are:
Alabama, New Mexico, Louisiana, Alaska, Mississippi, Nevada, West Virginia, South Carolina, Arkansas, Arizona, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Delaware, Tennessee, North Dakota...
They are also the states with higher rates of unemployment, lower average wages, and greater percentages of people in abject poverty.

According to U.S. News and World Report... the top 15 states providing the best K-12 education in rank order from the top are:
Massachusetts, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Illinois, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Colorado, New York, Rhode Island, Washington, Oregon, California...
They are also the states with lower rates of unemployment, far higher average wages, and those 15 states pay approximately 65% of all federal taxes.
These blue states also only receive $ 0.85 average value for every federal tax $ 1 paid while the red states in the worst category above receive $ 1.15 average value for every every federal tax $ 1 paid.

So... in which states do you suppose education is a fucking joke?

We can fix this to accommodate you really quickly... just support legislation that requires each state receive $ 1 value per federal tax $ 1 paid. Then the red states can be as stupid as they want.

Yes it is the state's business to educate its populace however, from a defense and an interstate business perspective, it is the responsibility of the federal government to ensure the overall population is at least somewhat educated. Red states are receiving massive subsidies and they still do a piss poor job educating their people... which means they either don't know what they're doing or some smaller select group of people in those states are stealing the money.

Yes according to the left the left is more educated!! LOL wow so shocking there.

Not shocking they conflate government spending with "education".

So... in which states do you suppose education is a fucking joke?

California for sure. Their K-12 "education" system is a wildly overpriced public babysitting service and little more.

I imagine most the others also suck and conflate spending with quality as well.

How about just get the federal government out of the states business?

Everyone keeps their own money, everyone gets to live by their own communities rules, everyone wins!

You know....like the USA was meant to function.

Yes it is the state's business to educate its populace however, from a defense and an interstate business perspective, it is the responsibility of the federal government to ensure the overall population is at least somewhat educated.

Where exactly is that in the Constitution??

Red states are receiving massive subsidies and they still do a piss poor job educating their people... which means they either don't know what they're doing or some smaller select group of people in those states are stealing the money.

Probably both....maybe we should stop with all the wealth redistribution???:D

And in a hundred years or days or minutes, none of it will matter to anyone except someone who might need a grade or wants to start a argument. Trump is putting in his time, doing what he thinks and what his advisors say, and when it's over and some other sucker sits in the oval, he will be in his tower as the Bush's are on their ranch and Obummer is chasing his balls in Hawaii. True, he has a lot more responsibility, but it's just a job.

Using any one or all three of these will not be enough to comprehend reality. No, it takes a wider range of information not scripted propaganda pablum from the MSM.

But even with a broader source of input you need to learn to read between the lines, always remembering that any one source is only one perspective and you need various perspectives to really judge reality.

Happy New Year and may the Creator have mercy on us all!

^^ Lives on RAW/Slate....only the most radical leftist propaganda rags, and nothing but.

If we go back to the Confederation of States... which is what we originally had and it failed... there is no reason to have the "United" States... each state can be it's own sovereign country... I suspect that is effectively Putin's goal... but okay... I'd love to have NJ become Switzerland...

Actually i think he is promoting a re-establishment of the Fairness Doctrine... which Mark Levin got Reagan to pass, then Levin created the notion of MSM, which is total nonsense, and then Levin made money and republicans have ruled in propaganda ever since...

I think a return to the Fairness Doctrine would be a good thing...

It's already like that enough.

Problem is some folks in government and in the population in general seem to think we are a unitary state and 1 size fits all domestic/economic policy and regulations.

I think the US if it were to break up should be several geographical/cultural religions.

The south, southwest, PNW, midwest, New England, the Rocky states.

California can go on off the deep end with communism by itself.

Everyone wins, except the idiots who go to far, but hey at least they won't be dragging the rest of us with them.

Don't be so fucking literal, or were you to stupid to understand?

If the Federal government passes on a tax leavy to a state, to be collected from you, or the Federal government tax's you directly, is there a difference>? That is what I fucking meant by one tax payer.
Idiot!!!

Your inability to clearly and concisely convey a message isn't stupidity on my part.

I can only take you for your word.

Yes.

When the feds tax me, that's 49 other states taxing me.

When Minnesota taxes me, that's my state taxing me.

Idiot!!!

So in your mind, other states taxing me through my state = one tax payer??

More like one tax collector.

Rush Limbaugh goes out of his way to attack scientists on his show. He refers to the scientific community at large as “idiots” for daring to publish studies on global climate change and signaled out NASA scientist James Hansen as an “insane lunatic”.

In Ann Coulter’s book “Godless” she attacks scientists and insists that they’re an evil sub-cabal of atheist liberals, a group so addicted to godlessness that they must hide at all costs the awful "truth" that evolution didn't happen. She accuses evolutionists of brainwashing children with phony fossils and made-up "evidence," turning the kids into "Darwiniacs."

Evolution science is central to modern medical science, especially biology, immunology and genetics, so Ann is basically accusing anybody that ever graduated from medical school of being “evil”.

She also attacks embryonic stem cell research and accuses research scientists in this field of having “a clear financial incentive to lie” and she also accuses them of “killing humans”.

And a Republican preacher named Steven Anderson refers to higher education as "Devil State University", and claims that higher education "corrupts the mind", and "makes everybody stupid."

Republicans have been waging a war against science and education for longer than I've been alive. It's no wonder that the Republicans of my lifetime are uneducated, uninformed simpletons.

Rush Limbaugh spent years attacking scientists, calling them "idiots" and "lunatics" and attempting to destroy their credibility.

He (along with his fellow Republicans) have waged a war on science. They've attacked biologists, climate scientists, epidemiologists, neurobiologists and toxicologists. They've attempted to smear scientists and turn the public against them.

And now Limbaugh has been diagnosed with advanced lung cancer, and he needs scientists to help keep him from dying.

Do you think that Limbaugh sees the irony in this situation?

It was just a few years ago Limbaugh was denouncing the World Health Organization, claiming that smoking doesn't kill and claiming that doctors were "covering up the truth" about how harmless smoking is.

If Limbaugh had ANY honor whatsoever, he would at the very least apologize for his attacks on medical doctors.

But Limbaugh doesn't have enough integrity to even make THAT tiny concession to the scientists of this world

Stupid with a capital S...chuckles one tax collector...right

Trump loves the poorly educated so much he's trying to dramatically increase their numbers. He's proposing once again to cut billions of dollars from the Education Department, seeking to eliminate after-school programs, teacher training and grants for other school needs.

Most of the money in education doesn’t come from the federal government.

I have many relatives who work as teachers and they are tired of wasting time in useless trainings, filling up the pockets of a few gurus who made money from them. The district has no money for new books, but they can pay some person who has never been in a classroom, tell the professionals that they should buy his book to be great teachers.

Elitists like to believe that those who have not attended a college or University are somehow less intelligent, or less informed than themselves.

Most European countries subsidize college because is a good way to hide their rates of unemployment, same as they did before with the compulsory military service. Now in Europe we have millions of “educated” people who can’t find a job because their training is basically useless.

So here are two links. One shows the European countries average unemployment rate.

https://tradingeconomics.com/country-list/unemployment-rate?continent=europe

The other shows he countries tertiary education average.

Maybe you should do some reading? (note it is shown by regions not just countries)

https://jakubmarian.com/percentage-of-population-with-completed-tertiary-education-in-europe/

The text in this gives a good explanation of why higher education leads to greater employment opportunities.

Trump loves the poorly educated, and thus strives to ensure that millions of registered voters are dumb enough to believe in conspiracy theories and Republican talking points.
