I can't talk to you directly, so I constantly have you in my thoughts. They are innocent and I hope to cheer you up in some meager way. You are never alone or forgotten and your burdins can be shared by caring people.

Tell me again,
That we'll be lovers and friends.
Tell me again,
That we'll be lovers and friends.

Please tell your lovers and friends that Usher, Jon, and Luda had to do it again.
;)

Yell at me later for it......

Wide Open Spaces ~ Dixie Chicks

Who doesn't know what I'm talking about
Who's never left home, whos never struck out
To find a dream and a life of their own
A place in the clouds, a foundation of stone

Many precede and many will follow
A young girl's dream no longer hollow
It takes the shape of a place out west
But what it holds for her, she hasn't yet guessed

She needs wide open spaces
Room to make her big mistakes
She needs new faces
She knows the highest stakes

She traveled this road as a child
Wideeyed and grinning, she never tired
But now she won't be coming back with the rest
If these are life's lessons, she'll take this test

She needs wide open spaces
Room to make a big mistake
She needs new faces
She knows the highest stakes
She knows the highest stakes

As her folks drive away her dad yells, Check the oil!
Mom stares out the window and says,
I'm leaving my girl.
She said It didn't seem like that long ago
When she stood there and let her own folks know
She needed

Wide open spaces
Room to make her big mistakes
She needs new faces
She knows the highest stakes,
She knows the highest stakes,
She knows the highest stakes

We're meeting to hang out. I think a meeting is in order before anything too serious goes on.

True, not that I'm doubting that, but it seems really soon to be planning on meeting, granted the meeting isn't for a long while. :p

Hon, we planned it before we got all cutesy. She needs to learn to cook. Badly.

 :rose:

Oh, very cool, though even in that case, you barely knew eachother and wanted to meet...but whatever babe, it's your life and you don't have to defend yourself to me.
lol...I'll see what I can do if I get up there. :)

I've met close to twenty people off the internet, all but one of them (Gabbie) were sane. I'm still friends with them. I trust my instincts.

If you can get up there? Good God, buy some E-Z bake cookbooks!!!!! :p

That's cool. I trust your trust in your insticts, not to mention Abs knows her. :p

I CAN COOK THANK YOU! And I could teach her, it's just a question of whether or not I'll be in the same town before you're there.

For ari, buy them for ari. I KNOW you can cook.

I'll take the high road, and you take the low road, and I'll be East Coast before you....

:p

Oh, well she won't need them while we're still teaching her the basics.
No, I'm on the east coast in a little over a month, I said the same town babydoll. :p

I'm sure I've posted this before, but I've no self control and you can't stop me

If I Were Brave
- Shawn Colvin

All the happy couples on their way to New Orleans
reminding me of when we got along.
They're only renting time and space to fill up with their dreams
and dreams are what they'll have when they have gone.
How could it be that I was born without a clue to carry on?
And still it is the same now I am older
Armed with just a will and then this love for singing songs
and minding less and less if I am colder.

But I have this funny ache and it's burning in my chest
and it spreads just like a fire inside my body.
Is it something God left out in my spirit or my flesh?
Would I be saved if I were brave and had a baby?

It was never clear what would come next,
but that's the risk and that's the test
and you were the only one so far to follow.
And no one talks about when one might stop and need to rest
or how long you sit alone before you
stop looking back, just like you're waiting for Godot
and then you pick your sorry ass up off the street and
go...

And what the hell is this? Who made this bloody mess?
And someone always answers like a martyr.
Is it something you should know? Did you never do your best?
Would you be saved if you were brave and just tried harder.

sigh

So now I ride the ought-one-thirty-five to New Orleans.
I float a mile above life's toil and troubles.
A thousand lonely lifetimes I still wait and then go on
a clown to entertain the happy couples.
