Endless Curiosity

< Online I can flirt with ease. I think that's why I do it so much, because I can.

In person?

Nope, can't do it. Words and tone and body language and expression ... brain overload! I also don't notice when someone allegedly has flirted with me. Doesn't register at all.

LOL! I am not a natural flirter. I am learning (Lit is soooo educational!). But if I’m doing it - in my own awkward way - it means little.

Now, when I become flustered and lose all ability to articulate or express myself in any coherent fashion…that’s when I’m in trouble.

Drop dead sexy, that’s me. :p

Gossip, here and in real life, doesn't play a role. I have little time for it, and typically could care less. I'll form my own opinions, thank you very much.

Like. :)

Gossip. Some love it, some avoid it like the plague. If you’re on Lit long enough it’s nearly impossible not to hear a little gossip, even if inadvertently. How much does Lit gossip affect you? Has it affected any of your interactions or changed your view of another Litster?
I've been around on Lit for long enough to hear a little gossip, although I'm far from the central distribution hub. I don't usually put a great deal of weight on it. If A is making negative assertions about B then I feel that could potentially reflect as badly on A as on B, unless I know either A or B well enough to make a value judgement on them.

I honestly don't know whether I flirt. If I feel a connection with someone, then I'm likely to offer them sincere compliments, but I won't invent stuff just to flatter them. Is that flrting? If I know them well enough to be reasonably sure that they won't misinterpret my interest, then I may get playful with it. Is that flirting? One of my "hot buttons" is sensing that someone lacks confidence and would benefit from the boost of some honest praise or admiration. I feel an affinity with that and possibly some attraction too, but is that flirting? I really haven't a clue.

yanno sumpin'?
I was a natural flirter.. and damned good at it, but Lit kinda killed that for me..:(
Well, not "Lit" specifically, but it played a major part in how I now choose to interact with people I'm not actually in the presence of..
*Shrugs*
It's is what it is.

ETA..
Lit played a part as well as my general distaste for answering questions in threads like "how many orgasms did you have today?"

My response is usually adding the lines of "none of your fucking business, tyvm."

I dunno..
I don't find those threads very funny or educational.. Unless I'm trying to learn which posters are horn dogs or fishing for play partners . In which case.. they're very enlightening...

Hahahaha! And, to think, all this time I've been on my guard thinking they all were^.

Another illusion shattered. :p

I'll have you know some of us horn dogs don't like those threads either!

I've come to realize I am a natural flirt. Not to say I flirt with any girl, but if the comfort level is there and everything then it comes naturally. Often times it is just to flirt and have fun. I don't expect anything except an enjoyable exchange between friends. Sometimes it has lead to more, sometimes it has lead to one of us wanting more but the other not, most of the time I end up with someone with whom I can relax and have fun.

As far as drama goes I abhor it. If it involves, me I resolve it and put a definitive end to it immediately. If it doesn't involve me and I can't resolve it then I distance myself. Life is too short and there's enough negativity out there, no need to create or feed more.

I feel like I'm pretty out of the loop from a Lit gossip standpoint. I hear occasional tidbits, but not a lot and I'm okay with that.

I have had a few instances where I was interacting with individuals on the threads and I would suddenly get a PM from someone with a "friendly warning" about the person I was interacting with. I tend to take those with a grain of salt and try to form my own opinions. :)

It is my express goal to be the one other people warn you about.

"That guy? He has this thing...with raccoons. It's weird. STAY AWAY"

Editing out a double post. Stupid internet.

I may as well use this to actually answer the question: never been involved in any drama.

Unrequited attraction is a bitch, whether it be a relationship that’s gone cold or an unrealized crush. How do you deal when your love (or sex) interest is less interested in you than you are in them? Do you drown yourself in one of the classics, like ice cream or whiskey? Meaningless sex with strangers? Or just suck it up and move on?

Burn it to the ground, baby!

I try not to listen, and I try not to give anyone reason to include my name in the gossip fest.

Make me.

Finally a question I can answer....kind of although when do we get to see VT's cute shoes? :p

I am not a gossip person. I do not let gossip affect me when it comes to the people I choose to be friends with on here. This viewpoint has lost me friends because I don't get involved with the drama. Life's too short for petty disagreements and such. I mean it's not high school.

If so and so is cyberring so and so while talking to a different so and so, it has nothing to do with me honestly.

Unless, of course, you happen to be one of the so and sos. ;)
