I buy them online, but I often go to the store to see them/feel them first. I like to make sure it'll be powerful enough or all that it's cracked up to be. Stores just can't beat the online prices in most cases.

yes they are big and loud. Also my reasoning for not using it often. I have kids in the house who already know more than they want to.

Depends what it is. If it's a kinky toy then we like to handle it first. We usually buy those from traders at LAM and other kink events. If it's a mass market item then it's cheapest to buy them online. A few times, we've walked into a store and bought a toy because it looks good or the sales assistant was hot.

To be honest, we get all our toys locally. There are two adult stores near us and when necessary, she goes to one while I sit in the car so she can take her time. It's not that I am not interested, but I'd rather be surprised.
