Endless Ends

Enny, Is it just me, or is there a sense of hidden eroticism in some of these comments . . . I can't wait for the next chapter (or haircut) !

"Today I became intimately aquatinted with Chasmanthium latifolium, Andropogon virginicus, Elymus virginicus, and Pascopyrum smithii." . . . (nicknames?)

"I feel like we could all use some excitement . . . "

". . . which means there is more seeding and matting in my future."

"My stylist . . . long, dense, lush . . . with a lot of body."

"She had finished . . . and kept . . . touching it." . . .
"Just touching." . . . "It was . . . a little strange."

"She just couldn't stop touching . . . "

"I laughed, and told her how much I'd been admiring her . . . "
That's me! A hotbed of hidden eroticism.

So very hidden. Buried under concrete, in fact. 😂

There will, however, be another haircut in about two months. July, and we'll be moving into circles of hell season.

Today, I do nothing.

Except sit on my fanny and nurse my bumps, bruises, and aching muscles. There are several bad movies in my future.

Oh, and sulk.

I had been sulking for a full week but had to shelve it while doing all that physical work. I have hours to catch up on. 😝

Hmmm. I wonder if sulky = acceptance issues? 🤔

It's not sulking, it's self-care. 💐💐💐

I went to be early purposefully to catch extra sleep. It thundered and lightened so loudly I woke at least half a dozen times. The storm sounded like it was practically on top of the farmhouse.

I wonder if this is a sign . . . .

Maybe of poor planning on my part. :p

I reckon that Mother Nature realized all the work you were puting in on that pond and decided you needed some help ! (y)
This sounds lovely. Mother Nature is not usually so accommodating in my direction.

. . . . .

I am now wondering if this is part of some evil plan to lure me into complacency. 😂

Nay, nay . . . do not question Mother Nature when she provides a measure of relief. Now that doesn't mean that She will always be accommodating . . . just don't look a gift horse in the mouth ! (y)

I would make a terrible boy. I have zero curiosity about what it would be like to be a different gender. Less than zero.

However.

The whole pee while standing up thing seems awfully convenient. 🤔

Earlier I was thinking about people and how they spend their money. Dwellings and transportation aside, it varies so much.

I have one friend who indulges in travel. Honestly, she is rarely home. Another purchases designer clothes. Her closet contents could fund a house purchase.

I occasionally purchase pricey articles of attire, but the two most expensive things I own have been gifted.

No point. Just a curiosity. 🤷‍♀️

The main thing to remember is "Stay within your means" ! We all have choices, be it clothes, jewerly, vacations, homes, transportation, etc. But other than homes or cars (because longterm financing is available), my rule of thumb is "don't go into debt for any of the extras".

As my "nom de plume" implies, I am a longterm investor in the stock market, and over the years it has provided a financial cushion to be able to participate in the occasional "extra", which is usually a vacation trip.

We are supposed to be in the middle of a drought, yet the best part of the last three days it's rained cats and dogs. Plus hail.

It had best not wash away all my dirt. 🤨

Travails of the day:

-Found a tarantula the size of my fist.
-Argued with two Mediterranean geckos.
-Was ambuscaded by a flight of barn swallows.

It's been a creature feature kind of day.

Well if you are considering any of those critters as pets, you should know:

Tarantulas can be good pets for some, particularly those who enjoy observing them and appreciating their unique beauty, but they are not suitable for everyone. They are low-maintenance and fascinating to watch, but they are not interactive or cuddly pets and can bite if provoked. . . . All species of tarantula bite. However, they do not like to bite people. It cannot be stressed enough that tarantulas will only bite a person as a very last resort.

Mediterranean geckos are an excellent choice for first-time reptile owners due to their low-maintenance nature and hardiness. Here are some compelling reasons to consider them as pets: Small Size and Space Efficiency: Their compact size makes them suitable for small enclosures, ideal for those with limited space . . . A single Mediterranean House Gecko can thrive in a 10-gallon tank, but a 20-gallon long tank is recommended for multiple geckos or to provide more enrichment. Tank Dimensions: A 20-gallon long tank (30” x 12” x 12”) is ideal, as it provides ample space for climbing and exploration.

Although barn swallows eat massive quantities of pesky insects, they tend to become the larger pests by building their mud nests on manmade structures. Swallows can damage property and their droppings cause sanitation and health concerns, requiring expensive and time-consuming clean-up and repair.
