I’ve tried to warm up to Fetlife a few times, but I just can’t get there. The site isn’t intuitive to me and I’ve never made sense of how it works.

Name of your choice, you can use a nearby town, and unless you want to verify your ID you don't have to post a picture, and you can use a avatar.

I use the same name as here, no way anyone can figure out my real name. Most dint know what it means. A lot if Fetlife users choose Antarctica as their hometown. Only issue is, some users refuse to associate with anyone from Antarctica. Best to pick a real town, not necessarily near your actual hometown. None of my pictures show my face, on purpose. Also, I haven't posted 2 very identifying tattoos, on purpose. You can be as open or as discreet as you want. It all depends on what you want out of it. The more you post, the more you may get accepted. The more you "like" pictures, the more your profile gets out there. It takes a while to get the hang of things.

• No you don’t have to use your real name. You can use a username. It could be “HamMakesMe Horny, ButterMyMuffin101 ect ect lol it’s totally up to you.
• You can be as anonymous as you want. Some people don’t show their face others do. I showed my face for verification (they don’t post those) but that’s up to you. You don’t have to verify your account.
• When people don’t want to be found, they put that they live in Antarctica. I used to do that. But it was hard making friends because they thought I was a fake account. So I just randomly pick states and have fun with it lol.
• You don’t have to post an avatar. But some people tend to ignore accounts that don’t have an avatar.
