Flagg! Beware of calling his name! . See any crows?
Love me some Stephen King! * deep breath as I proceed to info-dump one of my favorite things:
I loved Duma Key! I thought it gave me 'classic King' vibes. Made me think a lot of Needful Things.
My fave over-all might be Pet Semetary? Mostly because it SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME when I was a little kid. I also love The Stand (& The Talisman & Black House, colabs). The Stand has some amazing characters, with a really authentic vibe to them. I love Salem's Lot & loved the weird semi-connected versions that showed up in the TV shows Castle Rock & Chapelwaite (a prequel based on the short story Jerusalem's Lot) Oooh, & INSOMNIA! I love Insomnia, the characterisations are just so *chef's kiss*
From a Buick 8 is underrated in my view. As was one of his more recent ones: Fairy Tale. Jeepers... I don't think there are many Stephen King books I DON'T love! Maybe my least enjoyed book was either Under the Dome, or the Tommyknockers? Although I still find myself re-reading Tommyknockers every now & then, so maybe not?
Oh wait, I know, my LEAST favorite was Cell. Not so much because it wasn't good - just that the idea had already been done to death in the zeitgeist already.
I adore the Dark Tower series. Amazing world building. Anything that delves through the thinnies is fascinating IMHO. & I love some Lovecraftian creatures like the 'low men'.
Holly Gibney might be the best character he's ever written (dare I say perhaps even better than Randall Flagg?)
