For Those Who Might Be Wondering Why We Might Be In Ukraine

Yes, yes, yes, but what is the reality?
The reality is that Putin has continued a facade of wanting peace.

The reality is, Putin has the upper hand on the field and is exploiting that advantage.
You say that a lot. The battlefronts haven't really moved for quite a long time. An army with advantage wouldn't be stuck in neutral.

He thinks he's on the right side of the issue, so does Zelensky.
The issue is Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Ukraine is defending their sovereign country.

Zelensky, is drafting 60-year-old men and young boys because he's out of fighting-age men. That's another reality. The Russian army is rolling up defensive works that are, in many cases, unmanned.
You use that line way too often. You're pro Russia....pro Putin. Have you received your new Putin poster for your wall yet?

Why won't Ukraine give up?

Worth a watch for anyone who thinks Ukraine should give up and negotiate "peace" with Russia....... (hint. Peace with Russia is not possible)

When Will Russia Run Out of Money to finance this war

Cutting to the chase, around mid-2026

Sky News update on Ukraine

Quite a good update from Michael Clarke

Two different dynamics at work here
- the USA sees Ukraine as a war they have to get out of
- Europe now sees Ukraone as a war they need to win

There was a strong opportunity for a decisive Ukrainian victory at the beginning of the war thanks to the bold leadership of President Zelenskyy, combined with strong public support, the remarkable resourcefulness, creativity, and bravery of the Ukrainian military, and weapons from the US and Europe.

Unfortunately, that window of opportunity was allowed to close, in large part because of US fears of escalating that resulted in unnecessary dithering and foot dragging on approving and releasing offensive weapons.

Consequently, the Ukrainian people are understandably becoming worn down. Their evolving sentiments are reflected in Gallup polling. Their resolve to fight for unconditional victory has evaporated. They now overwhelmingly support a negotiated settlement.

Putin of course doesn’t care much about the sentiments of the Russian people. Although he is facing economic pressure and heat from the oligarchs, he’s shown no interest in a peaceful settlement so far. At some point however, he’s going to be forced to end the war one way or another.

This war will eventually end in a negotiated settlement. What that settlement looks like and when it happens is anyone’s guess. My only guess is it won’t happen soon.

On a global war timeline, it'll happen fairly soon. Or at least I think so. Zelensky and his supporters aren't going to like the way it happens either because it's going to be a lose/lose for them.

People don't support Zelensky. They support Ukraine.

People do support Putin. Nobody believes that Russian people care

This is the biggest difference to support on the sides here.

This is pedantic bullshit.

Yes you are.

Putin doesn't want peace. His demands are unrealistic. Ukraine's demands are that Russia stop invading at a minimum.
So, at this stage, you think it is realistic that Putin, after losing tens of thousands of men taking the territory that he has, is going to just give it up and call it a day? It's my opinion that he isn't going to surrender any of the Russian speaking areas he has taken to date. I've said this from the beginning. This is an assessment, not an endorsement.

It depends on his goals
Do you know what those are?
Nazis?
Land?

The entire country speaks Russian.

At this stage, it doesn't matter who is right or wrong.
Yes, you want Russia to gain territory.

It would be awesome for you to admit that instead of crying about other shit.

What matters is the reality on the battlefield. Those realities are going to determine what happens next.
Ukraine is defending itself against invasion.
Russia invaded.

Reality.
.everything else is agenda

While many in the Donbas understand and prefer Russian, Ukrainian is the national language. Ukraine’s insistence that Ukrainian be spoken and taught in schools instead of Russian contributed to the tensions that helped spark the war. Pro-Russian politicians and media portrayed this policy as oppressive cultural coercion, a narrative Russia then leveraged to justify its political and military interference in eastern Ukraine.

You’re either misinformed or deliberately dishonest. I have never advocated for or supported Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, ever. I’ve simply explained the factors that led to it and reported battlefield realities using European sources, because the truth about what’s happening there has long been ignored or misrepresented in the American media.

Your posts here demonstrate differently.

I have never denied that Russia invaded Ukraine, you are lying. Repeating it doesn’t change the reality on the ground today or what that reality means for the future. What is done is done. Russia has seized vast swaths of Ukrainian territory by force and shows no sign of surrendering. The West lacks the military strength to compel them to give it back. Russia is now a nuclear power operating on a wartime footing, both militarily and economically. And now the question is: as we approach the negotiation table, who holds the winning hand?

You need to put aside your personal hate and observe the situation on the ground objectively. I have never demonstrated any support for the Russian military or this war.

You want Russia to control large portions of Ukraine.

Every single post in this thread shows that you support Russia.
