Nice!Oh yeah!
I’m counting backwards from our 4H fair for planting my giant pumpkins. 120 days from August 18th is late April. A bit too early to plant outside in Jersey, but we start everything inside under grow lights.
Well I will end up wrong on this, after a very warm first 10-12 days of February(60s,70s) daffodils are up and starting to bloom.I don't think the daffodils are going to be early this year as in previous years, but we'll see.
… apocalypse scorpion? What the actual fuck?Nice!
All of my peppers have come up except for the dang habaneros. The Apocalypse Scorpion and Bhut Jolokia are up and thriving, but no Habs... hrm.
Wanna see my hellfire babies?… apocalypse scorpion? What the actual fuck?![]()

Seriously though, the Habs aren't coming up and it's pissing me off a bit.. I'll give them four more days, then trying new seed.“Why aren’t my habaneros coming up, I need something MILD… freaking heat sociopath…![]()
Like...Jalapeño level heat?Doing more peppers besides bell this year. What's a good mild flavored one to start with?
Daughter wants different peppers. She though ghost was funny, told her it is until you eat one.Like...Jalapeño level heat?
Gigante Jalapeño are awesome for the size and flavor.
Serrano would be a gentle step up from Jalapeños.Daughter wants different peppers. She though ghost was funny, told her it is until you eat one.

Fingers crossed for you and your transplanted petunias! Let us know how it turns out! These are my wild petunias which I originally sowed in a milk carton. I got excited when they sprouted and then proceeded to drown them. I migrated them to this oversized juice bottle this morning and I’m just hoping their roots survived the flood and transfer.

Spring is coming!
Almost all of the time.Last year was an amazing year for me with starting plants, their growth rates, and then the actual growing season. I'm having trouble not getting discouraged with the slow growth of my babies this year. They are growing and this isn't a race (is what I keep telling myself), but it's a little hard not to hurumph about it. Anyone else feel like?
