Gay, Bisexual or Straight?

In the context of the question below, is a man always considered:

  • Gay

    Votes: 9 8.5%
  • Bisexual

    Votes: 72 67.9%
  • Straight

    Votes: 25 23.6%

  • Total voters
    106
I would categorize genderqueer more as "in between" than "changing" but the guy's ideas are a bit off anyway.

I concur. I'm thinking of situations (e.g. prisons) in which homosexual activity occurs but at least some of the participants neither self-identify nor are identified by others as gay. That the partner is same-sex is due to situational factors rather than sexual preference (orientation).

"Pertaining to or characterized by change of form", according to dictionary.com, as from one form of rock to another, or from caterpillar to butterfly. Implicit in this is that it's a one-way street, though I think it's being used simply to indicate mutability, adaptability or possibly a lack of strong preference. Certainly biamorous or bisexual seems more appropriate in that it inherently suggests flexibility.
See, there's one of the problems with this guy's system, right there. Because he's using "metamorphic" to mean identity, not sexual preference-- transsexuals, transvestites, all kinds of trannies :)

I mean, I've known transsexuals who consider they would be hetero if they had been born in the right body. I've known transsexuals who consider themselves gay, or lesbian. I know transfolk who are asexual.

And lord knows we have plenty of cross dressers here that consider themselves completely straight except for the panties, and it just doesn't make sense, when you think about it, that those guys get lumped in with us. He's looking at the surface quite a lot.

Man oh man...

In the context of the first question and the fact that he was doing it for his wifes pleasure he is straight. If he decides to do it for his pleasure he's bi and if he stops having sex with his wife for the guy he's converted gay. In the small town I live in there's a saying, "You can build a thousand bridges and only just be "in construction" as a job, but if you suck one cock you're labeled a cocksucker for life." Closeminded individuals with no imagination came up with that beauty I'm sure. All I know is as long as you're not hurting anyone you should be considered Omnisexual. Excluding animals, someone out there has probably had sex with plants and furniture and other items that come to mind and if you're willing to take that step, then you are definitely doing a little more than just masturbating.

Definitely Bi, I would agree that when a trans- is having sex with a man it is closer to being a woman psychologically than to being a gay man enjoying sex with another male. The more times I get fucked in the ass as a CD-woman the more I realize that is my most favorite form of sex.

What a beautiful soul:kiss:

That's just what this doctor isn't getting, in my opinion...

Makes you happiest, and the most fulfilled.

Well that was...interesting.

I put my gender as Female, and my self-description as Queer.

My result: queer.

Naw, really?!?!

I put the same and got back: polyamorous with metamorphic traits. Which is accurate in that "You will meet a tall dark stranger" kind of way.

Yeah, but only if you use his definitions of "polyamorous" and "metamorphic" - otherwise it's just weird.

In my Town

In my town the saying goes like this: You have to hit thirty home runs and drive in 100 runs every year for ten years to be called a slugger, but if you suck one prick, you're a cocksucker for life.

Must be a regional thing.:D

That's the version I've heard too :D

I was reading through the types again, and I find it interesting that so few people would be considered versatile. I think a great many non-bisexual people have a price (or vice) for which they'd have sex with their non-preferred gender.

I'd sleep with a man for a million bucks. It would be like Indecent Proposal, even if the guy didn't look like Robert Redford. I would do it because I believe the need to get through it would be satisfied by the money I knew was coming. I wouldn't like it, but shit, for a million bucks, I don't have to like it, right? My ability to say "I don't sleep with men" is NOT as important to me as a million bucks.

Maybe if I were financially comfortable, I wouldn't feel that way - if I had all my needs met. But right now I'm living paycheck to paycheck, so saving up for nice things is really hard. And if somebody could make my debt go away - and I could buy nice things - for one night in the sack? You bet I'd do it.

I think a lot of people would.

I wouldn't sleep around (male or female) simply because I think it would be a slap on the face to my partner. There are periods where I get so frustrated I sometimes wonder is it worth it (mainly about different attitudes about money). However, if I look back at what my single life was, this is better. (FYI, his year anniversary having major heart surgery (bypasses) was just this last Thursday.)

But if he was not in the picture, I would be more interested in sex for non-lustful reasons:

1) I would love to have sex with a woman if I was fertile and could impregnate her. I've gotten over guilt about being gay years ago, but I never felt that non-heterosexuality precluded the instinct to want to procreate. It isnt' so much that I have wonderful genes. Rather, I want someone to share stories about my wonderful grandmother. Years ago I was involved with a man who had adopted sons from when he was married. I was talking to one of them about my friends ancestors, and he had little interest since they weren't blood relatives. He was a great kid, and loved his adopted parents (from infancy). However, after I heard that I felt like adoption has a bigger risk that they have very little interest in hearing about ancestors. There is no guarantee a blood child would either, but I figured the odds were better.

2) I would love to have sex with a man or woman if it meant a lot of land (with or without a nice house) or a lot of money. (Of course, not being young, not being hung, not being a 10 in the looks department, I don't see that happening.) I didn't use to feel that way at all, and still have a lot of negative attitudes about prostitution. (I always found it as a lazy way to make money off something that should be free.) Nevertheless, since I have burned through so much money, I would gladly do it. (Safe sex of course.) (Like I said, I get in fights with my guy over money, but he cannot comprehend it over the last 3 years that I've been frustrated with him over expenses. He has a very cavalier attitude about money.)

3) I would love to have sex with a man or a woman if it would save someone's life. If sex with a vet would mean he/she would save an animal's life without a big expense or if sex with a doctor would mean he/she would save my life or a love one's life, I'd gladly do it.

Wow, after I read what I wrote, it sounds like I'm a cross between Mother Theresa and a cheap whore. I admit there would have to be some attraction, otherwise I'd have to rely on a blue pill. The strange thing is I wouldn't sleep with someone if they "said" they'd love me. My current partner is my last love relationship. (I guess I would make a horrible old fashioned gay Morman.)

Put in bisexual and got back ambisexual on that test. Mostly go for women but I can be attracted to men as well(not just their cock).

In the OP's example, society at large would certainly label him bi, if not just closeted gay.

In my opinion, if you're just fantasizing about an experience with a cock and not after the whole package of a man, you're just horny, not bi. :) And certainly if you're just doing it to entertain a woman you are most definitely straight.

do I have to be labeled all the time
when I am with a woman I'm not thinking of men and visa versa, am I straight and gay
I love the one I'm with
or is this just because I can't make decisions?

Anyone else try the flexuality test ? There are a whole mess of types, who knew ??

I do not like labels that attempt to trust humans into one catagory or another. I am a sexual male who likes to have sex with whom ever I am drawn to sexually who finds the attraction mutual. I am comfortable with either sex. But, when I touch someone in a sexual way, I want to feel that special thrill I get. If I do not feel it, it just does not happen for me. I am also not into the blow and go culture. My hand usually does a better job. I need to feel a persons mind to really enjoy the experience. So, I guess sexually I am an equal opportunity person.

In our society as it is today, if a man sucks another man’s cock, is he automatically considered to be gay or bisexual in every case?

Example: If a husband and wife as a fantasy wanted to experience a MMF sexual encounter, and as part of their fantasy, she wanted to see her husband suck another man’s cock to completion. And to fulfill his wife’s fantasy, the husband sucked another man’s cock to completion without any emotional or sexual attachment to the man: in our society, would the husband be thought of as gay, bisexual or straight.

In other words, are there certain circumstances in our society where a man could engage in homosexual sex, and still be considered straight?

To the OP, I would consider this guy as "straight" but with an open mind and at least a little sexually adventurous. He is no more gay or bisexual as anyone who is a little curious or experimental, but then decides it is not for them. I would suggest that his wife is lucky in that he is willing to do things that may displease him for her sexual gratifications.

As to society, unfortunately, I think it has been said by many already. Lots of different opinions, but sadly many would label as gay or bisexual.

On a side note, I too took the flexuality test, I will let you know the results when they are posted.

I am somewhat amused by tests like these. I usually take them, if only to add to the databases for future use.

A fun one: https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/
And a more serious one: http://mysexualorientation.com/

how funny... I classify myself as pansexual...it tells me I am polyamorous with metamorphic traits....

but I knew that.

*snorts laughter*

I am physically attracted more to men. It seems like I have changed, at one time attracted to women as well.

It is curious how in erotic and pornographic writing there is much hetro and lesbian sex, but little gay sex (except specific gay sexual writing). Are women less threatened by their sexuality than men ?
