I think your parrot stole your glasses :)

But thanks so much for the smile & ego boost. You are one of those rare gents who occasionally causes me to wonder if perhaps I am bi :)

Has anyone but me noticed that the originator of this thread has not posted since 6-3-04?

What was the question again? I suffered burnout trying to catch up.

Did anyone bring up anything about what he's done for the economy.healthcare, education, cost of living, natural resources, welfare?
I just need the Reader's digest version here.

I feel like Charlie Brown standing alone asking "does anyone know what christmas is all about?"

Can someone enlighten me before the next election?

Can you blame the originator for being MightyZor!http://www.addis-welt.de/smilie/smilie/wetter/sterben230.gif

So apparently this is a lost cause thread now?

I'm a brit and we love lost causes.

Our leaders tell us we love Mr Bush too... wait a second... hmm, it starts to make sense...

Amicus

You make some good points...and you are right the liberals for all their free thought are some of the most closed minded people I have met...but in medicine we treat them all...even if they do have strange views ...I appreciate the back up...but if you are going to fight..at least pick sides. This thread is top heavy with liberals...but they dont realize they have too many views to actually win elections....their politicians promise them everything and fall flat on their faces.

There will be little common ground reached on this thread because no one wants it...its easier to blabber about what could be done and what the world should be like by pulling out old newspapers and editorials than to try and fix the world.

When Iraq is free and functioning I fully expect some liberal who is too scared to travel there will have comments lined up and cameras flashing...

When Iraq is settled down, we have the answers we need, and the people captured that we want, I am sure the US will be happy to share the prisoner burden with the UN. The UN takes too long to act that is all and then after we have taken on all the burden they want to step in and take over...I cant see that happening.

I encourage everyone to vote and speak their mind.

It's obvious from the amount of pages surmounted in this thread, that people have spoken, opinions have been voiced, yet, I have found my question unanswered.

Plainly put:
What happens to me, the average, lower income family of four mom?
How is Mr. Bush going to help me?

I'm out of work, will new jobs be generated?

I have no health insurance as of now?How do I pay for my meds and see a doctor? Don't even tell me the welfare system will help, that is the biggest fallacy going.

How is he going to improve education when he is making budget cuts there?

Frankly I'm not concerned with rebuilding Iraq right now, I want to know how I'm going to make it through the year like many other Americans are wondering.

So please tell me why I should give him a vote?

If things are ever settled in Iraq, you still won't get the answers you need. What questions are they asking? Do you even have any idea?

But more importantly, what has that to do with anything? The Bush administration has declared war on the ICC and put their own men outside international law. What sort of justification could that possibly have, except for the freedom to commit war crimes without having to face charges?

On voting

I am not here to sway votes. People vote how they wish that is the purpose of elections. When my grandfather worked welding NY subways ..his union boss came around to him and said that we need money to support our candidate...he said no that he wanted to make up his own mind. After that conversation he was given all the horizontal welding jobs to complete. They took twice as long as the vertical jobs and they were paid by the number of jobs completed ..his paycheck was cut in half until he contributed to the UNION approved candidate. After a month of putting up with that he came into work early and welded all the lockers shut then he nailed and welded all their boots too the floor... then sat back and watched them struggle to get their boots on and lockers open..haha....he then went to work at the sugar factory.

My point is make up your own mind...nothing said here will make a difference ..it is too polarized ...

Personally I think we have ignored the middle east for too long and taking the war to them and addressing their long term concerns about democracy and palestinian free states ensures that when my children grow up there may be a stable middle east because of steps we take now.

ABS: "What happens to me, the average, lower income family of four mom?

Have you forgotten self reliance, and that old American virtue 'hustle.' Don't expect things to be handed to you; make your own way, like GWB did. OK, bad example, but like RR.

But I'm just a poor white girl trying to make good.

I live in the northeast too. I can easily find you and live on your porch.:D :p

Cartoons

Unfortunately that is all you liberals have is cartoons and bad newspapers....That looks like some 3rd world bath house. We have the militarty, congress, and the white house, so you can keep making your cartoons if it makes you feel better.

By the way that family of 4 got tax cuts and credits. Medicaid covers medicare if you are truly poor.

You should have more respect than to mess with those photos. I am certain military justice will prevail and those soldiers will be in the brig themselves.

I always wondered how that was spelled - thank you, 'dita!! Do you mind if I add that to my sig line? (The other three comments refer to the same racist dick.)

I got of your mother ...now get off mine

Once again avoiding things...first pictures of Iraqui abuse, then slurs in Spanish. Why dont you take your complaints to El Presidente Fox ladies. See that is what happens when you obscure photos and obscure truth..it opens itself to misintrepretation.

P.S. Edited just like those photos.

You began the racial slurs.

Perdita is a gracious lady; you certainly know how to make nice people angry, don't you?

(What is that, foreplay for you?)

The truth about those pictures is uglier without the cartoonization. Where were your buddies in charge when that shit was going down? I'm not avoiding issues. Let's tackle this one right now.

If that photo angers you because the presidents head is on there, then you should be able to transfer that angst to the families of the woman holding the leash and the man on the other end of it. Let's talk about the reality of what's in that photo. No amount of doodling with that photo can make it uglier than it is on its own.
