Gee, that is how long ago I was here the last time  but with the search hardly ever working makes it hard to go back and look.

I had a game on Palm organizer, something with drugs. Weed was listed as item.

I don't need an organizer for my palms, that's for sure :D

And yes, also in German "Kraut" has more than one meaning.
Like I wouldn't think of "Sauerkraut" as a drug, though it has a weird effect on some ;)

Ich habe 'kraut' nicht verstanden.

Or something like that.

Is 'ling calling me unkraut because I'm not German? (Hello 'ling, whereever you are.)

And now I'm wondering if I should indulge in sauerkraut anymore!

haha...I didn't have any problem understanding "Douze points pour Belgique" though...I seem to get those kind of things one way or another.

Anyway...hope Euroland is having some sweet dreams.:rose:

good morning weed,

Europe is just waking up.

The votings "douze point for Belgique" "Belgium twelve points" has to do with a voting for a european song contest, every participating country votes for the others (expect the own) from 1 (nice try) up to 12 (wow).

This european song contest is moderated in three langauges: the host country (the winning country of the previous year is the host) native language, english and french-

I thought, kraut is a often use nick for germans? Someone told me, it is more badmouthing, I always laughed about.

Weenieschnitzel said:
Question: Would you ever give 12 points to a song in this contest????

Well, if my memory suits me right, I voted 12 for Kenny Logan's "Just Another Year" back then.
You know, that irish guy who won twice.

And there are, even if they're only a few, I'd consider at least "nice to listen to".
But since I'm a musician I listen more carefully, not only mainstream like songs. I listen to arrangements and lyrics, I know a good song even if it wouldn't be my first choice when it comes to buying records or CDs. And since I'm even more a singer than a guitarist I listen to the vocals and background vocals.

I've already watched that Eurovision Song Contest as a kid, it somehow turned into a tradition by now I wouldn't want to miss out.

Just in case you're curious about the scale I'm using.
I'd vote 20 for Garth Brook's "If Tomorrow Never Comes" or Trisha Yearwood's "The Song Remembers When" and a 22 for Alan Jackson's "Where Were You When The World Stopped Turning".
That somehow gives away I'm into soft Country & Western ballades. Hey, turns out I'm a Redneck after all.
