Exactly! Osterglocken it is. I was afraid they might not spring back from the initial frost hit after the first week of lovely weather, but they pulled through. I'm waiting for the nicer weather to solidify a bit more before I do too much planting this year. I'll be travelling a lot this summer (my last one in Deutschland *sigh*) so I need to find heartier plants that will survive a week of neglect in the sun here and there.

Rheinland-Pfalz? SW-ish, sandwiched between Saarland and Hessen states. (Are they called states here? I should know this!).

well, we call these states "Bundesländer"
best translation would be certainly "federal states", similar to those in Mexico since both, Mexico and Germany are Federal Republics

.... if that explains anything - lol

some bulbs need initial frost to get them started growing in spring
- it has something to do with the production of encymes (sp?) -though I don't recall if dafodils count in that group

and if your trip across Germany will bring you somewhere close to my place don't forget to buzz me in time

I'd be willing to teach but I'd have to do some special lesson planning. You don't seem like the type to sit through a lecture.

Perhaps if there were plenty of visual presentations and hands-no demonstrations?

and what exactly are "hands-no" demonstrations ???

um...well, depends on how good of a student you are if we want to fix that typo.

I guess since you've picked up on the teacher's error you might be in line for a little extra credit.

We could make it a game. Someting like Pin the Tail on the Donkey. Except a girl, of course. That way we can test your awareness of female anatomy with a blind fold on.

First, I blind fold you. Then I spin you around but I leave you facing the girl bending over in front of you. I give you a little piece of silk with some tape on it and you have to walk up to the girl and place the silk right where her tail would go (if she were a donkey, anyway).
