Another giggle?

One day a nun was fishing and caught a huge fish for supper. A man was walking by and said "Wow what a goddamn fish!" The sister said "Sir you shouldn't talk to me like that: I'm a nun", and the man said "But that's the name of it: a goddamn fish". So the sister took the fish back to the rectory and said "Mother superior, look at the goddamn fish I caught." The mother superior said "Sister, you shouldn't talk like that!", and the sister said "But mother superior, that's the name of it: a goddamn fish". So the mother superior said "Well give me the goddamn fish and I'll clean it." While she was cleaning the fish the monsignor walked in and she said "Monsignor look at the goddamn fish that the sister caught." The monsignor said "Mother superior you shouldn't talk like that!", and the mother superior said "But that's the name of it: a goddamn fish". So the monsignor said "Well give me the goddamn fish and I'll cook it". That evening at supper there was a new priest at the table, and he said "Wow what a nice fish". And the sister said "I caught the goddamn fish." And mother superior said "I cleaned the goddamn fish". And the monsignor said "I cooked the goddamn fish". And the new priest said: "I like this fucking place already!"

Well, since they say that laughter is the best medicine God can't mind too much.

The Pope might be a different story.:D

And I thought that at twenty-five years running as a stand-up comedian he loved a big audience.:p

well, to be honest, I do believe, that by now he's more a puppet on a string

some powerful cardinals, like Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger, in the background are the puppeteers

Parkinsons...gives him tremors. Same thing Michael Fox has, I believe.

Hope the packing is going well!:rose::kiss:

edited to add: I love your av.

A bit of trivia for you...

Tom Hanks is third cousin four times removed to Abraham Lincoln.

I guess he doesn't actually put that on his resume.

I watched a mushy Tom Hanks movie tonight *grin*

Ooohhh

It's been ages since I checked in here...

I am SO GLAD it seems Spring might finally be here to stay in the Pfalz! Either that or the crocus and dilly's are in for another shock!

I am well Rex, and hope you and the other folks here are too.

:rose:

Dilly's? That wouldn't be osterglocken, would it?:D

Hope yours stay pert, Mae. Nothing worse than a late freeze wilting your blooms.

Where is Pfals?

I think this should go here.

Hi baby...

I came across this bit of German trivia that I thought might belong here.:D

In 1950, a German obstetrician, Dr. Ernest Grafenberg found a spot within the vagina which he immediately named after himself: the G-spot. He found that stimulation of the G-spot could lead to expulsion of fluid from the urethra. "Large quantities of a clear, transparent fluid expelled not from the vulva, but out of the urethra in gushes," gushed Dr. G.

Intrigued posted it in a thread on 'gushing.' An educational article but it also made me giggle. Amongst other things.

Exactly! Osterglocken it is. :) I was afraid they might not spring back from the initial frost hit after the first week of lovely weather, but they pulled through. I'm waiting for the nicer weather to solidify a bit more before I do too much planting this year. I'll be travelling a lot this summer (my last one in Deutschland *sigh*) so I need to find heartier plants that will survive a week of neglect in the sun here and there.

Rheinland-Pfalz? SW-ish, sandwiched between Saarland and Hessen states. (Are they called states here? I should know this!).

Hi Mae

I'm waiting to plant myself. If you like them, perhaps some pot marigolds (calendula) for a splash of orange and yellow in your gardens? They have been quite hardy for me in the past and would probably survive your travelling times quite well.

Gardening and travelling...sounds like lovely summer plans.

You should take Girls101.

I'd be willing to teach but I'd have to do some special lesson planning. You don't seem like the type to sit through a lecture.

Perhaps if there were plenty of visual presentations and hands-no demonstrations?:D
