Halloween Contest Support Thread

I've finished mine. :D

It'll be in the Erotic Horror cat. My old favorite, languishing as of late.

So many ideas, so little time. :(

I hear that.

Work has been trying to kill me with long hours. My butthead of a child doesn't want to go to bed, and wants to wake up at ungodly hours of the morning when he does. In addition to the reduced time in front of the computer, I'm usually so exhausted that when I close my eyes to visualize, I nod off

Every once in a while, that half-dream state pays off, but most of the time it just results in me losing ten minutes of what little time I have anyway :p

The little ones always time it perfectly don't they? Bless their hearts. ;)

I've had my share of naps in front of the puter 'thinking' of what I'm going to write next. My desk chair is entirely too comfortable.

Mine's a beat up, duct taped, half the cushion missing and covered with an old folded sleeping bag junker salvaged from the tornado ravaged debris of an elementary school in 1990 *laugh*

I have the perfect excuse for napping - my "chair" and "desk" is a laptop on the bed...

I haven't entered a contest all year, except for Survivors. I think I will enter this one. I have already won two last place (tm) trophies, and can always use another.

In order to avoid the tedium of editing the first piece, I've started a second...

First one is Erotic Horror, second one will be Romance. I even have an idea for a third one.

Oh... are you going to write something together for this contest? If so, that will be definitely on the top of my reading list.:)

OOOOPS!!!!!

I forgot to log out and back in after checking scores and comments.

We have nothing planned except the next two chapters of our last story. Sorry to disappoint you.

No probs, has happened to me lots of times also - can't remember the password to the joint account anymore (my memory really sucks ), so it's not likely to happen again.

ah i wish i could write stories at the speed most people here seem to. i am already proud of myself that i managed another paragraph today, so far...

and i just managed another paragraph... so i guess i am doing ok...

Jeanne's started writing another Laundry Tale but despite the ghost narrator it won't be suitable as a Halloween entry.

Og

I've just submitted the fourth Laundry Tale, told by Martha the resident ghost.

As usual, just after I hit the "submit" button, I noticed a missing word. :(

I think you can edit after submission now, it'll drop the story back to the bottom of the pending list though.

You definitely can, which I think is a good idea. If you do it immediately after hitting the "submit" button, there is no delay in posting. :)

It appears to have taken "jeanne" a whole frickin' 66 minutes.

Don't worry. It took Og a whole three days to say that Jeanne had started.

The plot and development had been planned weeks ago. The writing took about two and a half days.

Thanks to starrkers and Boxlicker101 I have edited my pending tale to include the missing word.

Og isn't always up to date with what I am doing.

I think he's got schizophrenia...

I had an idea a few weeks ago for the contest. Last year I didn't enter but it's amazing what a challenge from someone else can do for motivation. About nine last night I started and a little after three this morning I had it finished. Now to decide if I think it's good enough or if it goes in the recycle bin like so many others I write.
