Yes. It was so sweet. I had sex with him three or four times because of it (he wanted to go to Europe to study art and learn another language) but then he started "wondering" whether he could afford to go and started talking about not going. I never returned his calls again.

That is actually a tricky question. Can a guy feel 'strictly platonic' toward me if, deep down, he is sexually attracted to me? Guys might put sexual thoughts about me out of their minds and treat me as someone with whom they will never have sex and do so for a variety of reasons (too young, too old, out of their league, wife would kill them, etc). How many of these strictly platonic guys, if they thought they could do so without negative repercussions, would say "No, I don't want to see what she looks like naked, and no, I would not like to fuck her even once"? The only guy that I ever thought was attracted to me when he wasn't was a guy who turned out to be gay.

I guess platonic implies deep down emotions, but I suppose to me, it's all about action. I spent years in platonic relationships "friend-zoned" and it turned out years later that the attraction was there. I suppose it's more about action than intention.
