LOL. Not sure but somewhere in New England would be a great start. ;)

Well, you're in Maine, that's a plus. :)

I'm in CT too, hope everyone had a great day, even though it was cold as hell...

Just happened to be driving by and wanted to say hello. From the southern end of New England. The little New England town of Woodbury, CT to be exact! Howdy friends hope every is enjoying the new year so far... :D

there is also a thread called New England....didn't find it?

Hermon, Maine here (close to Bangor)

OK..have been talking with my girlies on the phone, email,,etc. They are so damn excited for me to move, they all want me THERE,,lol,,but have given close by places for ideas as well,.."ANNE"(changing names in case anyone knows them"..lol) is from.WORCESTER(sp?) and does NOT reccomend i go there,,thinks i wont be happy,,she has a relative that lives in GRAFTON which she says is just as sucky..I HAVE NO CLUE,,sooooo.she says BOSTON(albeit pricey..is more fun)..also says EVERETT,CHELSEA,,,damn i forgot the other place....nowww another friend"STACEY",,says WORCESTER is just fine....although she never lived there...but says maybe IPSWICH,,,,i know i sound crazy,,and yes i would visit before i move.Having friends nearby is not an absolute,,but moving that far away,,it would be nice.."anne"..from worcester,,moved to VT,,then to CT,,back to VT..says i should try VT,,,

I was going to say living directly on the center of Boston is very expensive. You may want to look more at the suburbs of Boston. Over the border in northern Connecticut isn't to bad. I love my little New England town. I enjoy the peace, quit, and crime free area... :)

Vermont is beautiful country. No where near as much going on as Boston as far as night life etc, but the trade off is the mountains, rivers, natural beauty. The people up there are most likely going to be more laid back. And the driving is a little more sane....
...it's more sane till the flatlanders and/or Massholes come up to ski lol. Hermon is quiet and reasonably crime-free, 6 miles from Bangor...there are bars there, I just don't go to 'em lol (what can I say, I'm 41, a mommy of two little girls and no babysitter---let alone the money or the body lol)

:D

I do agree with you!I was almost right in the middle and it was very expensive.I would go there and just tour around if you can. Also a roomate is a good idea if you are needing to cut down on the cost. You have friends there did you say SINN?Why not stay with them?
