Let's say you go out on a first date with someone who turns out to be all you could ever want in another person. He/she is perfect, or at least seems to be after one great date.

On your way home a third party offers you ten million dollars cash with one stipulation: You can never again contact the person with whom you just had the amazing first date.

Do you take the money and possibly pass on true love? Or do you take a chance and hope that the relationship will lead to "happily ever after?"

Think carefully about your answer.

I'm gonna pass at the money. I have seen to many people that have all the money they want and are so unhappy. I'd rather enjoy good company and friendships than being rich and lonely.

Remember, I asked if you would take the cash or hope for a second date. The latter has no guarantee of romance.

Yup and I said money isn't everything. ;)

It's just as likely as someone offering ten million dollars to a stranger. Work with me on the premise here. :)

I understand that but if I take the money then I don't ever have a chance at the second date. If I pass then there's a chance on the second date. I've always been a gamblin girl. You always take a risk on happiness. Happiness comes from friends, family and good times together. Money complicates all that.
Hell with my luck I would take the money and wind up sick and have to pay it all on medical bills. :D

Or you could pass on the money and end up sick and have no way to pay for it.

You're a gamblin girl, but you're not willing to gamble that you'll ever meet another man who could win your love? You might find another guy, but you're not going to get another chance at that money.

Personally, money has never led to bad things for me. In fact, whenever I've had a small windfall it's always led to happiness! I received a check yesterday for $250 and I'm happy as a clam - I can only imagine how happy I would be with ten mil.

Yeah and I have work for a woman that is worth millions, owns 5 companies and more damn house's and car's than I have fingers and toes. She is the most unhappy woman I have ever seen. If money would make me like her. Fuck that I'll be broke. ;)

Well, you've changed my mind. I guess all wealthy people end up like that one single example. Whew, that was a close one - I'll stop saving the pennies now.

This is easy for me. For one thing, I'm a mid-late 30s pragmatist as opposed to a starry-eyed 20 year old. For another, I have a kid. So, of fucking course, I'm going to take the money, and wish the person who gave it to me every conceivable success in all of his/her future endeavors. This is a no-brainer. With $10 million, I could send my kid to a French Grande École. The love of any woman is insignificant next to the power of the force... of my paternal love and obligation for and to my kid.
