Not so much here unfortunately. Only one chippy locally still does them. As for Highland Toffee and Mars Bars I can remember those prices too!You can still get scraps at any chippy here. And you don't pay for them, just ask for them.
I can remember half-pennies and half-penny sweets. Highland toffee bars were 10p and mars bars were 20p.

I'm so old I remember when people of different ideologies and from different sides of the political aisle could carry on civil discourse, when discussions and debates were both intelligent and courteous, and when the only media who outright lied to the public were tabloids in the check-out line. It's sickening that young people in America are growing up to think that it's normal to call each other horrible names, to yell and curse in public, to promote violence, to boldly lie and that even the most outrageous lies and injustices can become integrated into the social narrative. Now we're the laughing stock of the world and certainly the ugliest culture on the planet.
