I’m so old I remember…

Our first time seeing color on TV was sliding a piece of glass in front of the black and white screen

Well we played road hockey all day and yelled car many times. When called in for dinner learned there was no last goal wins as we were taught respect if someone cooks you best get in while its hot. Learned to dodge the hockey stick. Be in when the street lights came on then go in yards only to play red rover red rover. One last thing. Got the strap in grade 3 with a friend and yes we deserved it but it wasn’t the strap that worried me it was my mom when i got home and how mad at me she going to be. In those days you took responsibility for your actions and wasn’t a thought of suing the school. And no never did what we did again.

GOOD Saturday morning cartoons...

Or maybe I thought they were good because I was under 6 at the time...

ISOIR "TV pliers". Those knobs always broke off eventually and no one replaced a perfectly good tv just for a broken knob, so TVs often had channel changing pliers, like car window pliers. On that note, ISOIR roll down windows and associated pliers. Yeah, maybe the pliers part is just old and broke people.

ISOIR getting of the school bus everyday, going to the corner store, and penny candy was like 5 fish for a penny. For just a quarter we could all be bouncing off the walls.
