That reminds me. As a kid I used to believe that inanimate objects were aware and had thoughts and feelings. Not that they came to life and could move around but just that they were aware of their surroundings and had opinions. This would lead me to do things like apologizing to doors I shut too hard or to toys I hadn't played with in awhile.

I can relate to this completely… I would feel bad for toys like that…. But.. I still apologize to cars I haven’t driven in a while, or clothes I haven’t worn in a while.
